To answer the earlier question about heroines that inspire, and to answer my own about why I find a certain look appealing:

There's no tutorial for being a natural captioneer. :) Where do you come up with this stuff!?

One thing I do know is that stoic Shep is better for deadpan jokes and there is a lot of stoic Shep in ME2.  So, if you happen to have a dry sense of humor, like I do, it's a gold mine.  The one below, literally, the first thing that came to my mind was that she had to pee.  Part of it is the very stoic look on her face w/ just a hint of frustration.  I think this is where she has to make the decision to help Zaeed or save the workers. So, taking this image out of its context, but zeroing in only on her expression what’s the worst “funny every day thing” that could be going through her mind?  This particular joke relies on irony to get the point across. Big bad Commander Shepard is in the middle of a mission in the middle of nowhere and then has to pee.  Ho ho ho.  But it also relies on honesty.  Who hasn’t been in a situation where they were in the middle of nowhere and had to pee? Who hasn’t seen people order a ton of food and a diet coke at a fast food restaurant?  The best humor is humor that people can relate to. Also, these screens w/ captions are “in jokes” as only people who played Mass Effect would really appreciate them.  In jokes are typically viewed as being funnier as they create a bond between particular groups of people, in this case devotees of femShep.  Anyway, that’s how I do it.  Also, I’ve been writing a webcomic that is semi comedic for over ten years. Mind you, I’ve only done about 10 screens out of 2000 images I have on file and for most of those remaining images, I got nothing.

Please note. Reading or listening to someone explain humor is about the least funny thing you will ever experience in your life.

Though there is some great screens coming from ME2, I think it is no accident that the majority of epic awesome screens are coming from ME1. :)

Indeed.  Luckily, I'm playing ME1 again soon with my canon Shep, Rachel.

I need to make her look like this again.

Am currently reverse engineering the facecodes from this old ME1 import face.

She's pretty!

Good luck with finding out the facecode. I read the instructions on how to do it to get this face back

But all that math confused me more than anything. I'm a bit of a dunce.

Femshep: "Ok, let's see if I got this right: take mouth_cheekMass (count left from center) and cheek_Gaunt, divide by 0.026667, add 1, and then count from left in 0.8 increments... Oh, frak this! I'm a Commander, I got better things to do. Now, Joker, let's go find that icecream machine!"

I figured it out, it's just a chore to do.

It goes 1-9, 1 being completely to the left, no zero. Then from 9 it goes A-Z, no O. Just skip the scar selection in ME1 because ME2 doesn't use it, unless of course you want a scar in ME1. Just remember it's not in the ME2 code or you're going to mess up that ME1 face.

here's the last few i one i took before the card died on me. i guess it was just too hot to handle:

They look farther away from the locker than usual for some reason...like Kaidan's trying to lead Shepard to the Captain's cabin or something XD

So I was digging through seperate careers on Me2 and I found the first alternate Angela I made (not the blond one) she's a vanguard like the original, but she had black hair and a different face structure and she's romancing Jacob (my first try at his romance) and was stuck on the part where the collectors attack the normandy. pleasant surprises all around. xD

Yikes!  Sorry to hear that, Sage.  Excellent screen however.  At first I thought they were dancing and Shepard was trying to lead.  :)

This is quite lovely.  I like the lighting.

I've also been practicing doing some photomanips for ME : )
My screenshot folder is getting rather out of hand though...

I 've found Lair of the Shadow Broker has great lighting.  It makes femshep look really nice.

I present Kallen Shepard version 2. i finally decided to see if I could muster the courage to change her face but half way through she looked like a Mix of Kathryn and Teagan so I tweaked somethings and voila.

And here is a short version of the story of my third FemShep.

Posted Image
Name: Diana Shepard
Backround: Spacer/War Hero
class: Vanguard

PRE-SERVICE HISTORY: Unlike Jane and Mikaela, Diana was born in space. On the space station “Atlantis-1”. Both her parents served in space troops. Her father was the captain of the dreadnought “Undaunted”. It was one of the most powerful Spaceships of the Alliance fleet. And her mother was a member of the Alliance government.
Most of her childhood Diana spent on space stations and ships, constantly traveling across the galaxy with her parents. Mostly with her father because her mother was very busy. However Diana’s father was an officer of the Alliance fleet so he couldn’t take his daughter with him all the time.
Since Diana was a child she had a dream to command a spaceship like her father. Though her mother didn’t like this idea. She wanted her daughter walked in her footsteps and became a politician. But Diana herself didn't want to do this. So she often quarreled with her mother because of that.
“Why do you want this?” her mother asked. “You have many choices of your future career. Politics, science, diplomacy ... Your father and I can help you. Why do you want to become a soldier? It is dangerous and ...”
“I told you many times!” Diana said loudly. The powerful blue biotic field surrounded her.
“Diana! Stop it!” her mother screamed. Her daughter had very powerful biotic abilities and she didn't want anyone discover this. Otherwise Diana could be taken away from the family and send to the biotic school.
“No, you stop it, mother!” Diana shouted. “There is no need to decide for me. Once you said that you will support me no matter what I choose as my future career. You've served in the Army of the Alliance too. I want to become like father, I want adventure, I want to ... I want you and dad proud of me. Mom?”
“It’s your call, Diana…” her mother sighed. “I see, I can't overpersuade you.”
“Thank you mother…”

When Diana became eighteen, she entered the Military Academy of Space Forces. After receiving Basic Training Diana was put into the N7 program. She was so strong biotic that during the training she has reached the class Vanguard. At the Academy she met good friends. Their names were David, Amy and John. All the years of training the four friends were together. And then they had to go to different parts of the Universe. After graduating the Military Academy Diana served on her father's spaceship.
Six years later Diana went to Elysium where she met her old friend John. But the joy of meeting old friends was interrupted
by the assault of the Batarians. The entire colony was under attack. Diana and John, the only two soldiers, had to protect it. They have gathered the local residents to give battle to the enemies, until warships of the Alliance arrived. John was badly injured during the fight. Diana dragged him into the cover, while the Alliance's warships conditioned to fight to the invaders in the sky.
“Di… ana… I…” John whispered running his hand down her cheek.
“Tshsh… Don’t speak!” Diana said, trying to calm him down. “Everything will be okay. Just hold on!”
“I’m… sorry…” he closed his eyes.
“John!” Diana screamed. “John, no!!!” One of her best friends was dying in her arms, and she could not do anything. She began to cry. She didn’t want to let him go. “NOOOOOO!!!!!!!” A powerful biotic field surrounded her. It became stronger and stronger, until it overshadowed all within a few tens of meters. Diana focused and directed all her biotic energy into her friend's body. “John… Don’t leave me…”
He screamed and opened his eyes. The biotic field was so strong that it managed to keep him alive until medics arrived.
Later Diana was not able to explain how it happened. One teacher at the Military Academy, said once that no one knows the biotic potential of a human. But Diana did not agree to investigate the incident. Not only because she was afraid to know the truth, but also because she was afraid of doctors since she was a child.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE: Diana sometimes behaves like a small kid. She can easily take offense at any little thing. Nevertheless, she values friendship and she does not like to surrender. Kaidan was the first man she really loved, but when he turned his back on her she decided to stay with Jacob.
