True, true.
Re: Jenkins
I once leveled him up to level 56 on a NG+ run. I gave him Heavy Collosus X armor. He had Immunity, the whole nine yards. Dude still got taken down by that little puny drone.

Admirals tend to look along these lines per steriotype. Nearing Retirement, wise, commanded vessels, years and years of experience.

My Femshep is not attracted to men, even cool Admirals, so she would not romance him.

Name: Ariadne "Ari" Shepard
Background: Colonist, War Hero
Alignment: Paragon (was only 10% renegade in ME and 1st playthrough of ME2. more renegade so far on 2nd playthrough of ME2)
class: Soldier
Favorite Combat Ability or Abilities: Sniper rifle
Decisions, decisions, decisions....
ME1 Council: saved
The Rachni: let live
What happened on Feros?: managed to save all colonists
Virmire: Chief died, LT came home to the Normandy
Conrad Verner: played nice with him
Noveria: stole some files for Lorik... let the rachni live... can't remember what else
Bring Down the Sky: i haven't played this
Anderson or Udina: Anderson
ME2 and the Council: reinstated as Spectre
The Collector Base: nuked that baby
Suicide Mission casualties: none first playthrough
The Geth: rewritten
Tali: told no one of Tali's father's experiments
Genophage cure data: can't recall... whatever the paragon choice was
Overlord: haven't played
Kasumi: let her keep the files
Personal stuff
Romance: Kaidan
Why Shepard and her LI are such a great match:
he's always got her back... so to speak
good chemistry all around, it would take a lot to get either of them to break regs, after all
Best Friends:
Liara, because she's awesome like that
Personality:
Resilient. Can be aloof until she lets you in. Tends towards anxiety, but high stress scenarios have a calming effect on her. The slaver raid on Mindoir was not the worst tragedy of her life, though it was incredibly traumatic. The biggest tragedy was her mother's death when she was just a preteen. In the wake of that event, her father had a bad grief response, started stockpiling weapons militia-style and training his daughter to shoot, fight, etc. Ari survived Mindoir with a bit of luck and a lot of training. Her father had caches of food and weapons all around his fields and the surrounded wooded areas. She evaded detection and made her first kills during the Mindoir attack. When the Alliance picked her up, she was freed from the eccentric life her father had forced her into, but her combat skills did not go unnoticed. (To fit with canon of both parents dying on Mindoir, I imagine she either had a stepmother and step-siblings who died in the slaver raid or else she straight up lied upon being rescued and made up an idyllic family scenario, which may never have been questioned depending on the state of record keeping for an outpost farming colony). Ari does not think of herself as a war hero and is profoundly embarrassed to be called one. She's had her share of lovers, though had been in the midst of 2 or 3 year dry spell-- by choice-- before Ilos, when she realized that she didn't really give a sh*t about the fraternization regs anymore.
Three fun facts:
1) Ari can dance really really well, but takes immense pleasure in pretending to be all left feet and awkwardness
2) Until the destruction of the original Normandy, still carried around a large and slightly irridescent hex nut that her first boyfriend--who died on Mindoir-- had once given to her when they were just kids
3) Had a fake identity with full documentation (name, Adela Martinez) that she used-- primarily after the Blitz-- when traveling in order to avoid drawing attention to herself
Screenshots:
In ME, discrete flirtation

In ME2, with Liara and dead fish

I always viewed Hackett as more of a father figure, honestly, or at least a guy I'd want to hang out with. When I pictured him, I was picturing Admiral Adama.
So for me it's a case of "don't know if want..." because although I don't really see him as a romantic interest (at all), let's face it- that voice. Unf.

I'm sure Hacket is pretty old.
Shepard: Just how old are you, Admiral?
Hacket: Let's just say I fought for the south. We lost.
Please excuse the Near Dark reference.
