I play Danielle as pretty damn
renegade and Samara has never said anything about wanting to kill her or
not approving of her methods. You don't get the fake romance you just
get the friend path when you talk to her about romance and the code she
simply thanks you for your interest in her life but she's made her
decision to be alone and at this stage in her life she knows it's the
right choice for her. So my renegade and Samara are close friends and I
bomb the collector base at the end so I have no idea where this "Kill
all Renegades" stuff comes from.

Well, I had read something about she's threatening Renegades, maybe it's just picking the renegade answer on the wheel...

Yeah, I'm quite attached to my Shepard. She would never fall in love with me, though. I'm not her type.

My Shepard is very pretty and really cool but I don't know about love, pretty loaded word for me. I really like the character that's come through while playing the game and I'd like her to kick the immortal crap out of the Reapers and ride off into the sunset with Liara. I'm like an author without direct control over the fate of my character, I hope the best for her but she's still the product of my imagination.

But I am quite happy with the way my Shep turned out, and I did get very attached to her.

I would make her teach me how to play pool. >.>

And don't be creeped out; it's a perfectly ordinary reaction. Fictional characters are easy to fall for- they're safe.

A bit of both, I guess: I am both identifying with her, and I have fallen in love with her.

As for being creeped out, nah, don't be. I say it's the idea we fall in love with; that which our Femshep stands for, and who she would be, were she real (what?! Femshep's not real!? *shock*). The pixels are just a medium, like a photo.

ngl, when I redid Angela to make her a blond, I was deadset o keeping her single, because I didn't think Thane, Garrus, nor Jacob would be worthy for her, butthen I settled on Kelly after I figured out you couldn't romance Liara during the DLC unless you and her did it back in me1. Sucks if you only played me2 with all your characters.

HAHA yeah I wasted my first playthrough romancing Jacob ugh. I'm rectofing that now trying to go for Garrus or maybe even Thane I'm not that picky (playing through with the same shep)

I adore my femShep.  To me she is the most gorgeous pixilated woman in the ether.   But love?  Perhaps in a creator/creation dynamic, yes, I do love her.  Anyone who has created a character, especially from scratch, will tell you that this is not weird in the slightest.  Okay, the Anne Rice/Lestat thing was weird, but other than that …

lol no She's an import, but I'm just saying that one of my characters can't romance Liara because he was my first ever playthrough, therefore he's on in Me2

I was thinking of asking this question of the thread myself, actually.

I admire and respect Jessica a great deal, despite her flaws.  And I do find her look incredibly attractive.  But I couldn't say I'm in love with her.  Firstly, I'm already in love and have been for years, even if it's no longer reciprocated the way I'd like, so replacing that with a fictional character is a bit weak.  Secondly, there's no real interaction there to go beyond admiration and respect.  Thirdly, I'm too wimpy for Jessica to fall for, anyway... I can't crush a mech with my biotics or shoot its head off at a hundred yards, and I'm not asari, so that's three strikes against me.  I might be able to match Liara in the brains department, but that's a stretch too, since she's got a good 79 years on me.

edit:  Oooh, wait.  SFXGameModeConversation.  Ooooooh.  That would be it.  Does all this work somehow for ME1 as well?

Yeppers. The [SFXGameModeConversation] section is what does the trick.

Per default, it just seems to have 3 key bindings in it (renegade/paragon wheel options + skip key). It turns out you can pretty much copy any keybinding in that section like you have for regular gameplay (bindings are all localized). I tried it, and it works flawlessly. I can flycam thru cutscenes now, pause it, go slowmo, strafe, etc., with no problem whatsoever.

I thought I'd post it here, since we're all in the business of making lotsa screengrabs, and because it's generally believed you cannot do any of these things during cutscenes. Well, you can. The 'secret' is just that they moved everything, key-bind wise, to their own cutscene section. You can even make highres 'tiledshots' inside a cutscene! Just tried it. Which means I owe ryn some highres stills of Liara from LoTSB.

EDIT: Just figured out, there's also a section for non-interactive cut-scenes, located at [SFXGame.SFXGameModeCinematic]. That would cover them all, I think.

Can you edit, like, BioGame.ini with these commands for ME1 to get the same effect?  I know there is a lot of overlap in the .ini scripting between games.

I think I finally nailed down the face for my mostly-Renegade, Ruthless, xenophobic, blasian Colonist Vanguard, Alexis Shepard.



I'm still not 100% sold on it... I dunno.  Suggestions?
