A trip? How so?

Ah yes, the mystery of the disappearing eyelashes. Posted Image

just that me1 to me2 looks so different to me. playing with the new graphics card is fun - i can't believe how sharp me2 looks, but it just has such a different...feel to it? shep looks different - just somehow it all looks and feels different.

No, you're right - there's a significant difference between ME1 and ME2.

Noah looks very young in ME1. In ME2 not so much. I was a bit surprised at how different she looked when I first imported her. I used to think it's the hairstyle - updos tend to look a bit stricter, I think - but the graphics could be it, too. And the lightning. ME2 is so bright while ME1 is a whole lot darker.

The lighting and shadows in ME2 make the big difference. I only really noticed after going back to finish off my L60 playthrough with Jeena*, which I did a few months after I started playing ME2.

Good different?  Bad different?    More likely the unsure how to describe it different as they are two quite distinct games?!

I just imported Amelia straight from a ME play through to ME2 like you Sage and the change in game is just so apparent.   ME2 was missing those gripping moments for me (which lotsb attempted to sort out).  The conversation with Sovereign and Vigil in ME pretty much made the game by themselves then put on top the epic end sequence! Oh and how can we forget Saren.   Such a great bad guy!     Harbinger...  :?

ME2 was a completely different experience.  Epic opening and build up,  but then a lot of nothing.  Just recruiting a team and sorting out their problems.  Then back to the plot.  Then more recruiting and personal issues.  It was great fun and I love the game but it so different from ME.    If Amelia knew this from square one she probably would have just asked Cerberus for an Army instead :P

But hey if your just talking about the way she looks from Me to ME2 then ignore all that     /rant.    Always need one once in a while :P

Speaking of which, I finished my fanvid:  http://bit.ly/me-squad

It only features a moment of femshep, because it's really a tribute to the whole squad - since I love 'em all. Though you can see Kyrie for a moment or two if you look for her. Hope you like. ^_^

I like it!  Not really big on the music, but I very much enjoyed it regardless.

Congrats Sage, really nice vid. Good pick with the song too. That's something really hard to do. Everybody has their own taste

I noticed that too. Both Abby and Hayley look really young in ME1.

Yeah, I actually prefer the way Jessica looks in ME1. There's something... off about her in ME2. Which, I guess, fits with the whole rebuilt as an organic-synthetic-fusion AI platform thing.  The only people who look better in ME2 than ME1 are Garrus and Tali.

Can't identify why, it's something about the jawline and mouth I think.  Anyway.

As for the eyelashes, that only lasts until you exit the game and restart it. Save as soon as you get off the table, exit the game, load it up again, the use the "Restart Mission" savegame and you can play through Lazarus Station with eyelashes.

And sagequeen, you are one very talented woman. That video is a slick and snappy editing job. Must've taken a long time, I did editing in college and it was hours to get a few seconds of video. I don't like the music much, but the editing is outstanding.

Jessica's features are more prominent in ME1. She still looks amazing in ME2, but I kind of get what you are saying. I recently changed Alex from a Soldier to Sentinel. With class change also came some facial changes. I'm both eager and hesitant to see how the physical changes translate in ME2.

@Chignon - I really like that picture!

@Sable - I noticed a change in Jo's appearance from ME1 to ME2. But I can't put my finger on it either. It doesn't bother me too much though. I'm actually almost tempted to figure out those convoluted steps to find on what her code would be so I can bring her back. I was stupid and somehow deleted her original ME1. So i can't even play her in that anymore.

I know she's not the most stunning face, but every shep I've played since then hasn't felt the same if that makes sense.

This may sound weird, but I do it backwards when I design my Sheps. I make a face in ME2, then use a code converter to make it in ME1. They always turn out really good that way, for me at least.

It's not weird. I did the same when I created Hayley. Besides, that way you have the face code.

Jessica still looks great, Sable...I love her nose <3

My ME1 to ME2 import looks OK, so I never tweaked her in ME2.

Awesome thread, I must say.

I just love it when a woman is the one saving the galaxy.

And Jennifer Hale's voice acting is quite amazing.

I do too!  Jessica's schnoz was always meant to be her defining feature.  I built her around what I joked to my friend was her "axenose".

Well said!  Thanks for your support.

About ME1 and ME2 differences....

Kathryn's face looks smaller in ME1.
Posted Image
At least, I think that's the difference.  It doesn't really bother me but she just looks a little bit older in ME2 which is kind of weird since she didn't really age when she died.

They made Face 7 chin pointier and jawline narrower in ME2 I think.  That would result in a less youthful appearance.  The exact same thing happens to Jessica.

Kathryn's still beautiful, regardless.  That mouth just makes me want to kiss it in all sorts of indecent ways.  :P

Hayley does look great. I think the ME1 faces are a bit more narrow and perhaps longer than the ME2 faces.

I am so derpy.  I never could remember what face number I chose for Kathryn.  I often wondered if she was a face 7 and now I know.  Yay!  I'm in the Face 7 Mafia!  :P

Yes, those lips are dreamy.  Liara is a lucky asari.  xD
