lol @ that image adneate. Thanks for the laugh.

I think I've gotten as close as I possibly can in recreating her. After way too long in the creator I think I'll just have to settle for second best. The face is okay.. it is just missing something? I'll show you guys.

First pic is the original face.

Second is the copy of course.

From what I can see the first version has blusher on, and her chin is slightly longer than the second's

@Reverie:
Oh I feel your pain Reverie. I spent several hours recreating my first Shepard, Devi, and even now after so many revisions I can still spot differences between the two. I settled for the code I have posted and atleast I still have all my original save files for her(which is what all my screen shots are based off of). Heaven forbid anything happens to them......well, then I'll have to go back to tweaking an already over-tweaked code. -_-"

Freya more than makes up for it. I should say she's an exceptionally well done design with a great deal of attention paid to the details.

@Flies - Yes. I've spent so much time staring at this face that I feel like I'm picking apart every little detail. If I could find her save files, that would be great. But I can't. It is like I saved every save file of every other character I created, but her.

Thanks :)

I've lost count of the amount of redesigns she's had - at least 10.

Originally she was a pale, thin-faced brunette.

But yeah, I am kinda proud of how she looks now, despite the flak I've taken for "overexposing" her

Not a problem.

I did almost exactly the same thing to my Shep, just "picking" at her and redesiging her again and again. Though I shouldn't be surprised your Shepard is so fantastic you're an artist after all, you'd have to know something about proportions and anatomy by now. It was the same way on the Dragon Age character creator forums, people with an artistic background always made really fantastic characters and worked really hard on them.

Also people complain about everything I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Actually I think it was due to posting about her on the LiveJournal community. Even so, I didn't whore her around saying stuff like "look how awesome she is!" or "she's better than all other Shepards!"

I just happened to draw her a lot, and she was usually featured in screens I posted.

It eventually lead to this...

While that in itself was upsetting enough, the comments made on it were even worse. There was quite a large number of hostile - and anonymous - people attacking me for basically using her as an excuse to post "softcore porn"

Wow...that kind of treatment was REALY uncalled for and way over the line....Can't believe that it would go that extreme.

Replaying ME1 with my "new" shep Jo. After spending so much time recreating her, I figured why not? Haven't gotten too far yet. Just headed to Eden Prime. Will probably play a bit more tomorrow. I'll share a couple more pictures. I hope that is okay, since I don't want to be spamming the thread/annoying people. But don't worry that's it from me tonight. I'm probably going to go watch some of my Moonlight DVDs now.

So I started a new ME2 game up with a savefile I got from www.masseffectsaves.com so I could get a Soldier rolling. I wanted to see if I could reconstruct Lia from memory and I think I managed reasonably well, asides from forgetting to give her the trademark deep-green eyes. But brown eyes are actually working out splendidly, and it differentiates her a bit from Lia. I am not entirely happy with her face being so angular from certain camera angles, but it is almost impossible for me to see how that works out in the character creator :(

I haven't managed to get any shots of her with her new Revenant yet, though.

You do know you can just use Gibbed's Save Editor to change the class of any of your Femsheps on the fly, right?

After reading all the pages in this thead, I notice there's very or none of Asian look Female Shepard. I wonder why....

Probably because it can't be done properly. I tried it once; and you can fiddle around a bit with the eyes (move 'em up a bit, make 'em thinner, and work the nose a bit). On the whole, though, it never comes out as a real Asian looking female, sadly. Others may have had more luck (and skill); but I haven't seen a plausible one yet.

As for the men in the game... I find Kaidan super attractive, but he has some shots in ME with really bad lighting where he looks pretty strange, which is unfortunate.

this is from a million (ok, like, 10) pages ago, but i just have to agree. this is, i think, true of all the human squaddies. at times they all look a little odd. with animations + amazing VA, you sometimes forget that they aren't really actors (well, i do) and then they hit a bad patch of lighting or their hair fails to texture load quickly enough and suddenly it's like "whoa, that's...odd".  i think the aliens generally come off better because there is no real-world reference for them. the humans have a higher visual standard they have to meet to even look realistic, much less attractive.

and, let's face it, as much as kaidan's hair bump has become it's own sort of icon, it is very bizarre. i think so anyhow.

@ MDK - omg, that is the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard. freya rocks. she's got your awesome artwork showcasing her AND she's named freya. and she's a blonde. pfft. right there you get 3 awesome points in my book. (only because there are not as many blonde femsheps)

and i remember seeing an awesome asian femshep ages ago and i wish i could remember where. my attempts to make one have been completely unsuccessful. IW is right - the eyes simply don't "sit" right on the face. also, many of the so-called "asian" face structures (i think 3 and 4) just don't "hold" the features very well. i've tried a matsuo look-alike and it didn't work so well.

though i did have a friend tell me that my earlier incarnations of kyrie looked like a blonde Lucy Liu

Posted Image

o.O so mebbe if i tweaked kyrie enough she could be an asian shep? maybe not. i based her off of myself, and i'm about as nordic as they come.

Not for the lack of trying...
Every time I create a shep, I try an Asian look. Can't get it right.

There a couple of sheps that got it right though.

This is jlb524's Rachel (she has better pics than this one)
