*peeks out from behind a corner*
Hi there, (sort of) newcomer here.
I've been loving these in-depth conversations about FemShep for some time now, but had no way of contributing, due to the fact that left my ME2 in another state, on the assumption that I could get my ME2 fix on the Suicide Mission alone. Hahahaha, needless to say, that hasn't worked....and now I play Horizon over and over and over again until I reclaim both of my games.
Thanks to Rynluna, who graciously gave me her own code, I was able to register and here I am!
I like the way you guys address the many facets of who Commander Shepard is. It gets the writer in me thinking. I love the talks about each different Shep's personality, choices, her views on who/what she is now that she's been brought back from the dead by an organization she doesn't trust, the squadmates, the LI's, errything. It's all so wonderfully creative.

Whether I agree with Sable's assessment of resurrected Shepard per se, or no, I like the story very much, if for no greater reason than that it addresses the issue. Dying, sort of a major thing.
And Bioware did as good as nothing with it (they only started to redress that matter somewhat in LoTSB). Sable's great story touches upon the whole morality of what Miranda and Cerberus have been doing; you know, only thinking whether they could resurrect her, and never wondering whether they should. And what they took from her in the process.
Is it odd that I found myself thinking of Buffy the Vampire Slayer when I read this? I can see similarities between these two characters. Both were brought back from the dead, are thought of as leaders, are strong female main characters and are able to kick ass and be a deadpan snarker all at once.
The difference between these two is that Buffy got some reflection time on what being brought back from the dead meant to her perspective on the world, herself and her friends. FemShep, aside from the occasional fanfic and the good writing of LotSB, didn't. I really do hope that ME3 addresses at least SOME aspect of Shep's emotions and views on being brought back from the dead.
Sorry, didn't meant to go off topic with that. I just saw something interesting and went for it.
I've also got some questions that I'd like to ask you all, pertaining to your (remarkable, stunning, fabulously designed) Sheps, pertaining to how your RP them.
1. When you were given the option to pick that certain bonus power/weapon, what did your Shep chose and why? Did you come up with an idea as to HOW they acquired the power? (Ie Samara teaching Shep how to use Reave or Morinth showing her how to Dominate? Kasumi giving Shep the blue-prints for her custom made Flashbang grenades etc.)
2. The squadmates all have unique combat dialouge. To name a few:
"This should scramble thier systems!" ~ Miranda
"Embrace the Sea!" ~ Thane
"I'll get them off thier feet!" ~ Samara
"Yeah! Right on your ass!" ~ Grunt.
"I will destroy you!" ~ Jack (which, if you might recall, was a taunt used by enemies in the first game.)
Shep's, I thought, were sort of...meh. So, if you could have some quirky/interesting/hilarious combat snarks that you want your Shep to shout during combat, what would they be?
Glad to be here you guys!
