Persephone Rising?! That has a distinct Firefly ring to it. :P

Great image, though. And the lighting, it actually appears the 3 Femsheps have each their own, correct, in-game shadow. Wonder how you pulled that off. :)

Well, we're all Firefly fans, so I'm sure Whedon has snuck his way into our Shepards a bit.  Plus some David Weber, and Lois McMaster Bujold, and Star Wars, and I totally have this weird Hepburn/Grant screwball comedy inspired addiction to dialogue, so, um... yeah.

As far as the shadows, you'd have to ask Jhosephine.  I fail at the computer or art skills, but she is spectacular.

I'll have to read that now.  And I'm always impressed by Jhosephine's manips, they're pretty flawless (she's on Deviant Art for anyone who's curious.)

Persephone Rising is our ode to our FemSheps.

Bonus powers.  My Shep's an infiltrator so I've come up with reasons for her to have a biotic bonus talent for both games.  In the first one, I had to take a biotic bonus because it was all I had unlocked.

First game she had barrier.  She was born with some natural biotic ability, but since she's earthborn she didn't receive any training until she joined the Alliance.  She received an implant, but was washed out of training because her abilities were too weak and erratic to be of practical use.  In a pinch though, she can throw up a decent barrier which proved useful.

Just being able to fake it back on earth with the Reds got her out of a few tight spots with idiots who didn't know better (without an implant at most she could move a pencil across a desk, or create a small halo around her fingers.)

After lazarus I gave her slam.  Whether her cybernetics, an improved implant, or her newfound anger allowed her to harness her powers better, she doesn't know.  Has proved surprisingly useful for an infiltrator if an enemy gets too close.  Works in tandem with squad biotics.  Has an awesome recharge time.

Iconic sayings.  None.  She's an infiltrator.  Silent and deadly.

Cure for Thane.

I like it! Also, I have to say that Shepard looks beautiful in that dress!

Now, if only a cure for Thane were that simple. *sigh*

@ jwalker: i'm glad someone else thinks "Sh*t." would about cover it. again, i don't see my shepard as someone who talks much during a fight, unless something went wrong and an swear word came out. the fbomb is too mcuh for kyrie, though. she was raised conservative. plus the f bomb is more jack's thing.

incidentally, i often find the squaddies a little too chatty in combat. garrus' constant talking amuses me, because it seems to fit his personality ("Scratched one! Head shot!" i love that) some people it seems like they shouldn't talk so much. does thane talk a lot? i don't bring him much because of skill overlap. anyhow, in the first game, there were some lines that cracked me up every time (kaidan's "i thought that one had my name on it" as he pulls himself up from a crumpled heap after getting taken out by a rocket) but others that i never quite liked so much ("finally! some action!" - like, really? you WANT to be shot it?) anyhow...

Ahhhhh, Noah's face is one of the most detailed FemShep's I've seen. It's sooooo cool. I love it. How long did it take you to create her?

Thank you! Noah was more or less an accident - a good one, though. I didn't want to use Face 7 again and tried all the different faces. It just sort of went from there. I'm still tweaking her from time to time - like making the lips less full or changing the eye width etc. (:

That always annoyed me for some reason. It got to the point where I wouldn't take certain squaddies with me.

1. Stasis. After witnessing the manner in which Liara is able to effectively use the power during the events of ME1, my Shepard developed her ability to create a Stasis field in the month prior to the Normandy's destruction. Her newfound abilities were unaffected by the Lazarus Project.

2. Hmmm. Good question. Something relating to her biotics, I suppose. "Enjoy the flight!"

I need to work on it! :pinched:

Oh, and welcome!

Liara: "It would be wise to avoid touching any controls without reading the instructions."

Kaidan: "It's always a good idea to RTFM, ma'am."

Liara: "To...what?"

I know!

Most of the banter between those three characters is awesome, and the brilliant voice acting certainly contributes towards that. Hale/Sbarge/Hillis is like a trinity of awesomeness.

So true! I always take Liara with Kaidan and Noah after Virmire (gah, poor Ash Posted Image). You get some really hilarious banter.

I started off playing a female shepard in ME1 randomly.

I'm a dude irl and am not so much *roleplaying* a woman.. I just wanted to disconnect from reality.

It made me realize how awesome a strong, independent woman can be.. even though shes fake.

I wish more women were like femshep, that would be ideal. :)

Also I tried male shepard out for the first time a couple days ago and I had no idea his voice acting was so horrible. Femshep voice acting is 10,000 time better, am very satisfied with my character choice. :)

I've also got some questions that I'd like to ask you all, pertaining to your (remarkable, stunning, fabulously designed) Sheps, pertaining to how your RP them.

1. When you were given the option to pick that certain bonus power/weapon, what did your Shep chose and why? Did you come up with an idea as to HOW they acquired the power? (Ie Samara teaching Shep how to use Reave or Morinth showing her how to Dominate? Kasumi giving Shep the blue-prints for her custom made Flashbang grenades etc.)

2. The squadmates all have unique combat dialouge. To name a few:
"This should scramble thier systems!" ~ Miranda

"I'll get them off thier feet!" ~ Samara
"Yeah! Right on your ass!" ~ Grunt.
"I will destroy you!" ~ Jack (which, if you might recall, was a taunt used by enemies in  the first game.)

Shep's, I thought, were sort of...meh. So, if you could have some quirky/interesting/hilarious combat snarks that you want your Shep to shout during combat, what would they be?

1. Bonus power and weapons.  I haven't put much thought into this and after reading your post, I feel that I should.  My canon is a soldier and it has taken me a few playthroughs to settle on her bonus power.  She never found her biotic potential, so I never give her any biotic powers and she also isn't very skilled in the world of tech either.
I used to pick one of the ammo powers but it's kind of boring since soldiers already have a few.  The only other option was the grenades, so I just roll with Zaeed's bonus power.  It's soldiery enough.  As for her weapon, I go with the Revie.  For what reason?  She just thinks it's a bad ass weapon and it's the same color as her musical axe.  http://metal-dragon-...653640#/d2zvj9x

2.  I actually love that Shepard doesn't say something outrageous when playing.  If she sounded like Garrus everytime she shot something, it would break immersion for me.  That's completely my opinion, though.  I think Hale does a good job with the grunting and "taking heavy fire!".  It's just perfect to me.  I wouldn't mind a swear word every now and then.  Especially if say, you are seeing red on the screen and it seems like all hope is lost.

Shepard:  Oh sh*t.

Old style armour for the win!

Best casual outfit IMO is the same as the asari Councillor's.

Posted Image I'm very glad to be here, LesEnfants Terribles.

Your Shepard's "Enjoy the flight" reminds me of Jack's "Fly, b!tch!" when she performs Pull. She always says it in this sort of bloodlust-filled tone that just makes me think, "Crap, someone went and pissed her off. Oh look! There goes a Collector!"

Speaking of that one month prior to the destruction of the Normandy, what was your Shepard doing at the time? I remember reading one conversation, I think Sagequeen was involved, about the timespan between the end of the first game and into the second. Some were saying one month, other said three. Regardless, there was a lentgh in time that's sort of up for grabs and open to interpretation.

I think my Shep did a little target practice, working on her fire arm skills to offset her biotic talents. Other than that, I could imagine her hanging out with her crew when she had some down time, watching movies with the crew of the SR1, having some down time with Liara, talking with Chakwas. She tried to get Garrus to watch the Dark Knight with her, but he was a bit busy working on the Mako.

@sagequeen:

Having another Warp is always a good reason to bring Thane along. When combined with Miranda, Harbinger only gets so far as ASSUMING DIREC-- *BWAM* *BWAM* *BWAM* Dead.  Posted Image (How WOULD one describe the biotic sound effects? Sort of like a loud buzzing explosion?)

Hrm, I think Thane talks as much as any other squadmate. There was one instance where I told him to go behind some crates and he replied "Placing my body under cover!" I and my Shep were both like:  Posted Image Seriously, Thane? It just didn't seem to be like something he'd say, in my opinion.

@ Chignon

Wow, the contrasts between the two women's clothing is very...bright! And I can imagine Kasumi commenting on trying to get Shep into some fancier clothes, other than "You should wear this stuff more often! You look great!"

Or Ms. Goto's counter: "KASUMING DIRECT CONTROL... *strike* Haha! You're dead!" :) Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to equip Shadow Strike on Shepard yet; and I don't think it's possible, really.
