For Anne, Samara is a good friend, even if they haven't known each other for long. Mind you, maybe it's just because she's got a soft spot for Asari...

Catching up on posts and spotted this.         Love it !!    The dress is amazing, but I really only think it works for that mission, it will be cool if say Shep attends a formal event or ceremony on the next DLC when she can wear it

Anne looks amazing! Also, lovely pics, I have a fondness for Samara too. My Sheps tend to find Samara and Thane to have very calming presence so she likes to bring them along. Not all the time though. I really try to switch up party memebers as much as possible. It's what made ME1 so enjoyable for me - I was always finding new things in each playthrough regarding the squaddies.

Question: Does anyone use the Film Grain setting? Do you like it?

I was playing around with the settings last night and I think I prefer playing without the Film Grain on. I think it makes pic taking easier, well since I use my phone the pics are still crappy but now maybe it's 1% less crappy. lol

Samara and Thane are two squadmates I can see working together, both tactically and in RP sense. Their powers mesh well together (Samara's Pull and Thane's Warp) as do their personalities.

As for the Film Grain setting? No, I feel that it makes my screen unclear, and since I don't usually take pics of my game, I leave it off.

Yes! They work very well together. Not that other squaddies don't but I just tend to prefer using them with my Sheps. The ME2 squaddies are great but I've found that Garrus and Mordin, Thane and Samara mesh really well with my Sheps. (i usually wind up just using Thane and Samara for the Collector Ship trap - rp wise I think Shep wants those two to see what they are up against, plus I <3  them so no other reason than that I guess) RP wise and tactically. Plus, there's nothing like seeing a collector get thrown off a platform and Samara calmly stating "that one is dead". Hee! Yeah I think it might be dead after that Sam!

I like the film grain - it gives Noveria and Feros a very gritty feel - but I think I prefer playing without it. I've got bad eyesight anyway so...

Samara and Thane both have such calm demeanors when it comes to battle, mostly due to thier own personal philosophies and outlook on life. (Their combat dialouges : Embrace Eternity/the Sea! comes to mind.) They also have something in common, the fact that their offspring have 'lost their way', for lack of a better term and, gameplay wise, both missions lack combat and require Shepard to enter a situation without engaging in any combat.

Honestly, when I saw Thane for the first time, I thought that drell race was going to be opposite the asari race, in the sense that they're monogendered and are, what some considered, a fanservice race. Then I thought about the implications of what that might mean for Bioware (an all male race. How would they reproduce?) I soon found that thought to be a bit silly and ditched it.

Cameron's opinion of Thane...hmmmm, she thinks he's a good man, trying to do the right thing in his final days in the world and she respects that.

Whoops.  I grabbed off my full body numbers instead of my torso numbers.  (I should have just marked them in the Ini file, is what I should have done...) XD

Try these instead:

(Id=4,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_ARM_MED_R.MEDb.HMM_ARM_MEDb_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMF_ARM_MED_R.MEDb.HMF_ARM_MEDb_MDL"),GameEffects=("SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_N7Torso","SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_N7Shoulders","SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_N7Arms","SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_N7Legs"),PlotFlag=-1)

The Jack/FemShep friendship is sorely lacking, indeed. Some say Jack isn't the type to have friends, but then you'd think if this were the case, it would have been a lot harder for DudeShep to romance her.

This. ^ I felt like, aside from her earlier conversations and loyalty mission, we didn't really get indepth with Jack in terms of developing a friendship.

I was contemplating how I said my question, thinking that I might have phrased it a bit wrong and people thought I meant a relationship with her. While it would still kind of fit the answer I was looking for, I was going for more of a friendship than a romance.

I think the potential was there to develop a friendship with Jack. She seems to open up to FemShep (even if only slightly) during the course of their conversations, and to genuinely appreciate what Shepard has done for her. Then it abruptly stops with the "pissing around" comment, which I found rather disappointing (and perhaps lazy). Granted, each squadmate only has a limited number of conversations, but it was almost as if the writers had no idea where to take the relationship...ergo, rude dismissal.

They definitely have a lot in common. I think they would get on well together. (would Sam have a problem with Thane's history? I forgot about that, maybe not now since he's trying to clean up the universe...hmm I've got to think on that some more) I love that they both are parents - and both are older than Shepard and have lived full lives. They are both very interesting to me. Anyway, I feel that my Sheps can hang out and wax philisophical with them. Maybe with some wine.

Salarians are almost an all male race. I mean they have females but from what I gathered from the Codex there aren't that many females. (but the dalatross(sp?) are usually very powerful people in their societies) I remember thinking that Salarians might be the only race close enough to the Asari as in a all male race. Kinda, if you really stretch it I guess. lol

Yeah, Nona respects Thane and Samara greatly. At first she was a bit apprehensive about having an assasin on board but she came to love their discussions. Samara on the other hand, well she and Nona got along peachy from the start. Heh.

The thing that is very hard for me to RP is getting Jack out of cryo. For Nona she wouldn't even think about recruiting Jack. With the others I can RP it but for Jack I really have to stretch Nona's character - well that and the fact that I can't go to Horizon without getting Jack. <_< Don't get me wrong I like Jack but RP wise I just really have to wing it for Nona.

@Ozras

Well, for Cameron, she didn't really know what she was getting into when she entered Purgatory. She got there, met with Kuril, and was betrayed and had to do a prison break with Jack. She was just as surprised as her squad when she discovered Jack was a woman. (She actually found it a bit humourus, given the fact that both Cameron and Jack's names are unisex.) When she saw Jack in action, she was blown away. She decided that, as long as Jack got what she needed, provided it didn't hamper with the mission, she'd do fine.

EDIT: I've always had this image of Jack in my head: When Jack gets angry, a biotic aura flows around her and I sort of related it to a cat raising it's hackles when it was frightened or when it tries to intimidate a larger opponent. It sort of relates the image of that scared girl trying to act tough, which is a facet of Jack's personality.

Heh. I thought that reveal was nice, I didn't know Jack was a woman either. Grunt's "jack is small" still cracks me up.

For Nona, it was more that Jack was unpredictable and probably not likely to play nice with other squad members. Well, that and that I had no idea if she would kill every person on that ship b/c they were Cerberus. Nona felt that her team wasn't as...stable as she would have liked it to be and adding in Jack might make it worse. Unit cohesion was Nona's concern, luckily for her, except for two instances she didn't have to worry about it. :D
