Yes, it's very cute, actually ^_^

Plus I love the way she leans up against "Alison Gunn" when talking to Hock at her heist, like they're already BFFs. I think someone posted a pic of her doing that? I'm too lazy to think of where and what page, sadly. Hahaha.

 FemShep/Kasumi friendship FTW INDEED.

Yeah, that whole loyalty mission is awesome.

I wouldn't go that far, he's a royal douchebag to Thane.

Anyone sense that they could have made one of the loyalty arguments from this? It would have been interesting to see.

You've hit the nail right on the head. I'd think FemShep, with all the utter crap she goes through in ME2, would have a chance to just vent, to talk to someone, (if not Tali/Garrus, at least Kelly. It's kinda what she's there for)

Seen from an RP Point I would't say that Shep wouldn't talk about what happened with Tali / Garrus / Jocker or Chakwas. It's more that we just don't see it in-game. (After all, this Topic was more or less left out...)

After what happened to her at the beginning of ME2 I just can't find myself seeing her falling into some rage. More secluded and thoughtfully...

Most likely some sparring with Garrus (not the tiebreaker, but that would had been a way better start of the Garrus Romance :innocent:)

On the subject of this breakdown, would Shep rage quietly, in her room punchng various things or flining things around with her biotics or would she not care where she did it, as long as she got it all out, so to speak.

As said above, I doubt she would rage. My Canon Shep cries herself to sleep every night... :crying:

but every Shep is different ;)

for the 11 millionth time Jacob "miranda deserves a better man than I" is him saying "She's way high matinence and I'm not the guy for all that" not "she's awesome and I'm not enough but I'm enough for you" plus he says the same thing with Male shep so it's a canned line.

is that the context? i always get a bad taste when he says that. i'll play jacob's LM again to listen that dialog again....

yeah Sheps asks about his time with Miranda and he gets down troddend about it

Jacob sounded regretful about the situation when he said she deserved a better man than him.  I don't think he'd "bash" Miranda to Shepard; he is pretty reticent when it comes to sharing his emotions, and I don't think he's interested in gossiping about his former lover.

I think that the line is meant for a male Shepard speaking to Jacob, but they were too lazy to think about what it would mean to female Shepards who might want to romance him.  Maybe that's cynical of me, but the writers don't come here to talk to us, and based on the other examples of shoddy writing, I don't have a lot of faith in them adding extra layers of depth, especially if it's to make something make more sense to a FemShep player...(yes, I'm cynical.)

Yeah it is meant formale shep, but then hat make Jacob down play himself by admitting Shepard is a better man than him (which Isn't always the case.) and that sucks. Why'd the writers have to royally screw one of the nicest guys in all of Mass effect?Posted Image

Maybe they thought it would make him look modest or s.th.? But it's not my responsibility to find excuses for them. And using that line with FemShep is inexcusable.

I've never had Kasumi lean on Jessica.  >_>  How does that happen?

Jessica ends up not liking Kasumi much (which is sad, because Kasumi is awesome).  The "Shep" gets her hackles up.  But then, she's very sensitive about her name.  Long story.

He's got a point though. Thane's a freelance assasin, evne I was wary of thane on my first playthrough but then found out he was a cool dying dude. Plus it reminded me of the ODST/Spartan rivalry from Halo except it's a formal soldier (Jacob) with a freelance merc (Thane) where as Jacob helped people while Thane just killed random people for sums of money. The only reason he probably doesn't say anthing about Zaeed is because you don't need Zaeed to do anyhting and he doens't even get a briefing.

I heart Kasumi.  Along with her, Samara is Kathryn's other main homie in ME2 but she gets along with everyone on the Normandy.  ^_^

As far as the Liara romance goes, I think that's one of the few times where the writing actually works better for femShep.  The dialogue for Liara and Shepard is more feelings-oriented than the dialogue for any other character interaction in the other games, especially during LotSB, and that kind of talk feels a little more comfortable coming from a female Shepard than a male one.

Interesting that you feel that way.  I would imagine they'd always write the Liara romance with the MaleShepard in mind, but you don't think they did this intentionally, but was just by chance that it fits better with FemShep?

And that's the beauty of your own Shep! You could roleplay her how ever you'd like!Posted Image

Cameron, my canon Shep, I imagine, would do a bit of both. She's got a bunching bag down in the cargo hold she spars with. I've imagined that, after Horizon, Cam's in her quarters, just after a shower, imagining her conversation with Ash. She looks at her reflection in the mirror, and just punches it straight on. Or punches the wall as hard as she could.

But, that's just how I'd see her dealing with those emotions: in private but not internalized.

jacob's jab to tali about the AI is completely uncalled for. i hated him for that. other times, he's not so bad. jacob got the best WTF moments of dialog in the entire game, imo.

No he doesn't he has no point, he's a mercenary working for a bunch of human supremacist terrorists who run biotic death camps and kill anyone and everyone who gets in their way. He has no moral superiority to an assassin, Thane kills people for money and so does Jacob because he's a mercenary. It's literally the pot calling the kettle black.

Interesting...perhaps there has been a shift in the design and writing of Liara's romance, and it is now more focused around FemShep in a relationship with Liara, as opposed to her male counterpart?

Hmmm. There are a few reasons as to why I believe this to be the case, but I don't want to expand on there here, as this is not the appropriate thread. It's an intriguing thought, though.

1) Jacob's a soldier. Thane an assassin. I think it's something about Jacob's sense of honor.
2) Jacob likes keeping it professional and Thane just doesn't seem like the guy who'd engage in a catfight like Jack/Miranda (and in a way Tali with Legion).

Jacob only joined Cerberus because of the Lazerus project. His only job was to guard Commander shepards body and be on the crew. He had no involvement prior and even says he's only working or hem because they're actually doing the right thing in his first conversation. prior to that he was in the Alliance or being a corsair. So yes, he does have a point.

Fall apart as in tear them a new one with her biotics or break down emotionally? Or something completley different?

However on  occasion the odd biotic stretch is required

Just because someone's a hypocrite doesn't mean they are self aware.  Jacob means well, but he's misguided.  I like him (despite some fail dialogue.  His writing isn't very consistent.)  FYI I told him to keep and eye on Thane because Shep doesn't trust him until she gets to know him.  I also like how for once Shep returns the salute.

Anyhow.  Teagan says "Isn't this thread about FemShep?"

there should have been Loyalty arguements for all the crew members. I ws thinking along the lines of:
(both arguements already in the game)
the hidden Grunt vs Mordin arguement
Thane vsJacob (Thane kills innocents for hire,Jacob was an actual soldier and Thane offends his code of honor or something along those lines)
Garrus vs Zaeed (Zaeed founded the blue suns and the blue suns gave Garrus Hell)
Samara vs Kasumi (Kasumi's a theif and Samara's justicar, it writes itself.)

that'd be the ultimate test of FemShep's leadership capabilites.Posted Image

I noticed that too. I didn't even realize why it offended Tali until I got her, up until then I was like "wtf is wrong with you Tali?" but then again Jacob was just being helpful so she wasn't blindsided by EDI doing something.
