I like the idea of FemShep's physique being determined by her combat class. A Soldier or a Vanguard would be more muscular and physically imposing, whereas an Adept or Engineer would possess a more wiry, lean physique.

I love the idea of an Adept FemShep being more slender in appearance, as she's very elegant and graceful when controlling the battefield with her biotics.

Reminds me of the conversaton I had not long ago with Pacifen about Jack and her usage of biotics.

I think that's a very interesting ideas, Les. Though, I don't see how FemShep could be any thinner, in my opinion. Not to say the model is stick thin, but any thinner and it would be....yet, again, my opinion.

Isn't Bioware doing this for DA2? Maybe they'll consider it for ME3 as well.

I like this idea. It would allow for some diversity, but I doubt EA would front the money for 2-3 different body models. 4-6 if we count manShep, though maybe this is a non-issue for him?
I would prefer it if we got some armor to match the roles, though. I miss light armor for my adepts.

@Chignon: Err they are branching out, but as some people over in the DA2 forums are pointing out, right now it is looking like Lady Hawke will be more lean in her physique, but female NPC's will have fairly large breasts and slim waists.

oh now, that would just be awesome. i think shep is REALLY skinny given how athletic she is. ashley, too. most girls i know who can pull the kind of stunts femshep does are lovely, but they have massive shoulders and biceps. i guess it's the cybernetic implants that add strength? i play adept though, so it seems to fit given her metabolism.

yeah, i'm all for bigger muscles and smaller boobs. i find gigantor boobs distracting. i sort of wanted to borrow tali's boob proportions for femshep. hmmm...maybe tmi there...

Agreed, they arnt needed, But that doesn't stop them from being bumped up a couple of cup sizes in ME2.    From the last pic you can tell it was the Lazerus projects fault!!! (Or Miranda wanted to recreate femshep more like herself)  :P

I always imagine Constance and Trista to be more tall, muscular and imposing because of their classes. I put them in the Kestrel Armor because it tends to make them look a little more beefy. I wanted Aislinn to look more feminine so I kept her in mostly N7, since it tends to accentuate the curves a bit more. Holly wears the Kestrel Legs and N7 Breastplate because I wanted her physique to look lean, yet balanced.  It also tends to accentuate her hips a little. ^_^

I'm all for different body types, but not sure that I would want them to be class dependent. I always see my shep as an athletic type, even as a engineer. I've never seen shep as a super skinny type. However the boobs. I can agree with many on that. Smaller chest size would be nice. But then each to their own, right?

Also big thanks to Ele. Got it to work. You've all been so helpful to me! Much appreciated.

hmm different body types for Femshep (and male shep) kind of reminds me of the body morphing in fable. if you focused on your Melee attacks you'd be super buff, if you focused on your shooting you got super tall and if you focused on magic you got super cool bright blue tattoo's. if they did that it'd have to be based on actions because even Engineers can get into a close quarters fight like vanguards and vanguards can be light and nimble liek adepts and so on.

I dunno... I kinda like playing a Vanguard as a skinny blonde cheerleader type (Meghan -- AKA Buffy the Reaper Slayer) and Avery the Adept is a farm girl. Shep's default body fits both for different reasons.

Personally I think the default FemShep's body (and to an extent even some of the reused male animations) fit Morgan just fine. After all, she's a navy kid and she spent the entirety of her childhood on one military ship of another, so naturally she's fairly tomboyish. She has very little experience actually being feminine, hence why she's unconfortable in formal situations, can't dance to save her life, doesn't gussy herself up beyond a bit of token makeup and her bangs, etc.

Yes, but even tomboys learn to close their legs while wearing a dress. ;)

I think body type and muscle mass doesn't matter, given the fact that Shepard is pumped up with all kinds of tech implants.

I envision that my Shepards are well toned, but not really muscular.

Yeah, that idea was kinda cool. But if you had a female on Fable 2, then it looked really butch and not right if you wanted to upgrade them. (Just bought Fable 3, just started btw, loving it!) So I think the same goes for Mass Effect3, really muscular females aren't feminine, we need our curves ladies! Computer games aren't intended for realism.
Besides, there is a certain turian who just lurves a supportive waist! Posted Image

And I have a certain Shepard that loves watching Garrus walk away.

Ahem!  Anyway, I understand your meaning.  That's why I use different armor types to achieve my preferred look on the same body.  I think Shepard looks good in ME2, but I'd like it if they toned down the armor just a tad in the breast department.

Kathryn looks out-of-this-world amazingly gorgeous again! And it's really a very artistic shot, what with the lighting and the glow on that Reaper vessel (which I've never been able to find, btw) and all.

Thanks!  Artistic, huh?  I try my best with what I have.  That's really flattering.  :)

I'm running out of pics.  I need to take more.

I've imagined Kathryn as being quite toned and muscular since she's a soldier but not extremely beefy or anything like that.

Yeah, definitely.  Breast-shaped hardsuits are ridiculous.  I hope the rest of the armor suits they come up with for ME3 or any future DLC are like the Kestrel, or are at least as toned down in that department as the ME1 armors.

And no offense, but muscular females are feminine.  Femininity is not a function of body shape.  Yeah, I've seen some women bodybuilders who are so muscled-out that they're grotesque, but I've seen male bodybuilders that way too.  Just because a woman is "built" or "ripped" doesn't make her any less feminine.

Case in point:

Femininity is all about attitude and presentation.

That would actually make a pretty good Shepard picture, by the way, if you just replaced the barbels with weaponry.  :P

I know I've said it before (a lot), but Kathryn is just soooo pretty.  And unique, I have seen many pretty Shepards that look similar to other pretty Shepards, but outside of her being Face Shape 7 I've never seen a Shepard that looks like Kathryn.

Unique, unique, unique. All of the lovely FemSheps here are oh so very stylized and awesome. They've their own presence about them that makes them stand out, Kathryn as well! I love her facial structure, as well as her eyes and nose.

Really?  Cause I tried to find an image that's fairly close to Kathryn in the above pic and...
