Thanks for the offer!  I'll be sure to keep that in mind if I ever get around to writing anything.  ;)

Now for fun stuff.  Here is my next video:

ME2 Paragon FemShep Trailer

This video was a lot of work.  I made it from scratch, as in captured all the audio/video/etc and synced it up.  I used audio envelopes, custom transitions and edited everything by hand.  I think it turned out pretty cool.  ^_^

I call it 'Paragon' because most of the lines FemShep speaks in the video are from those responses.

It's also Holly Shepard's on screen debut!  Hope you guys like it.

That's very close to the official release trailer, but it has femShep so it's better!  :o

@ sable - not true. what you posted here is (lowers voice) better than a lot of the stuff on fanfic. but even if you only post it here, we will all enjoy it.

ugh. i forgot that after krogans comes horizon. :crying:

can i just put this off until later in the game? why does it have to come so early? it's the only time kyrie will get to see kaidan and he'll be yelling at her. :crying::crying: <--twice for emphasis.

alright - horizons some other time. krogan for now:

Yes, agreed. And while I do enjoy getting swept up in the drama of a good long story on FFN, most of the time I just want to read a bunch of clever oneshots. I love the ones with interesting imagery and some underlying thematic depth... and that's exactly what you're doing.

Here's another question:

What is your femShep's greatest regret? What does she feel she could have done better?

Jennifer's greatest regret is Torfan. She let her desire for revenge overpower her and the result of that was massagre. After that she fell in battlesleep as Thane might describe it. After Torfan she was given all the difficult missions where casualty rate was really high. She didn't let herself feel anything until she met Liara and she got through to her.

Just watched the trailer and it is really brilliant. The music complemented it really well, it's a shame the comments were disabled. But you just got a view from me :)

What is your femShep's greatest regret? What does she feel she could have done better?

Lantrun is an Earthborn Sole Survivor so she's not proud of anything but she also doesn't make a habit of making excuses for her actions.
If there is something she regrets its having left the old council to die and then reinstating a humanled one under Cpt. Anderson. She had hoped that would lead to a council willing to do what is necessary to engage the Reaper threat. Instead it merely made the existing racial tensions worse. But her emotions in that matter are closer to anger than to sorrow/regret, if she's honest.

Yes. She's unrepentantly selfish and feels the constant need to act out to get attention. That's why Kaidan is a good balance for her; he gets her to look at what she's done and really do some self-evaluation.

First a new one called Heart of Courage.

Your music video was fine but the song felt a bit repetitive to me.
(Excuse my inability to simply give a plain compliment but I usually need to nag about the thing in question if I do.)

Complaining about the music every time is also a bit repetitive...:P
The thing is, there isn't a single song that everybody will like. We're out of luck. Or maybe we could make a vid with music we like... argh, that's a lot of work.

Okay, here's a question for everybody:

What was your FemShep's proudest career moment?

Helping Wrex take down the threshmaw and earning the respect of his clanmates. It's quite an honor when Wrex thinks of Shepard an equal considering the culture he's from.

Wrex ? or you mean Grunt ? Either way, never thought it like that. It's a really cool way to look at it. Wrex is one of my fav characters. I hope he will be there in the final battle against the reapers.

Abby's proudest career moment?
Hijacking the Normandy to fight Saren. But not that fact itself. That's was needed to be done.
She was proud of how her entire crew stood by her. Trust and respect don't come with rank. Those have to be earned on a daily basis.

Abby's regret?
Horizon. Half a colony was lost. Probably lost a friend too. She was down there clueless. A mere puppet.

Great vid, Aislinn!

Sable Phoenix wrote...

And yes, Shepard was targeted specifically by the Collectors; she even comments on it, "The same ship dogging me for two years?"

What I don't get is if they could track her so closely they knew she was still on the gutted and falling Normandy, why didn't they follow her body on its plunge down to Alchera and recovered her themselves?

And why specifically target her?  That still hasn't been given even a hint of exposition.  I'm deathly afraid that it will not be explained in ME3, relegating that particular (and particularly interesting) plot point to a mere footnote the way they did with the Lazarus Project as a whole.

The hidden Liara audio files found on the ME2 disk tell us that the Collectors wanted Shepard's body to look for genetic abnormalities (because, Shepard is so awesome, I guess).

Of course, this was cut, but this might be the closest thing to an answer we will get.

Perhaps the Collectors think it's genetics that aided Shep in comprehending the Prothean visions and the Chipher? Maybe they wanted to know WHY Shep could comprehend the vision, when all else points to a mind being destroyed? Or maybe they needed Shep for some special reaper project?

Sadly, we may never know, thanks to stupid cut audio files. Why did Bioware cut THAT out? I could understand Mordin as a biotic or maybe the same-sex romance options, or even the Moridn/Grunt dialouge, but really? I felt that Liara dialouge would have been an interesting twist.

What I was trying to say was that it felt like a very short piece of music (30-60sec) just looped for a few times, not that I don't like the song.
I know I've nagged about the music in some videos but I try to vary my criticism on it.;)

This video actually succeeded in sending shivers down my spine, Aislinn. Great job! The music is brilliant, and really does lend an epic feeling to the video in general. I also loved the implementation of Thane's romance, as it only adds to the emotional tone of the trailer.

Keep up the good work, and I look forward to seeing more videos, Aislinn!

I always love watching your videos, Aislinn. This one was also very well done. It actually kinda gave me chills, but in a good way.

I can't get enough of well made fan vids. They are always so fun to watch.
