I'd like to just be able to take screens with my xbox :/

You and me both, I'm afraid. Still, somehow I was able to sub Morgan's screenshot taking out to someone with a PC copy. I'm still not sure how.

It helps that my "artist" thinks she's photogenic, but I really don't like the idea of having someone doing my work for me until I get a proper recording setup.

Nope just the greatest ME reference material job ever.  Well unless I were working at Bioware...  :P

Ok I just discovered an awesome game!!!   (mainly for bragging right among us) :P

Type "femshep" on google image search and see what page your femshep first appears on!

My Laura Shepard appears on Page 24!

Yeah, I'd want to do my own screens because I'm a rather particular art student. That and I don't have her face code >.<

I've got a super good camera but it still picks up all the wonderful lines in the screen. I really want to share my femShep with the world :(

I would love you too share    Quality isnt everything, maybe someone on this thread could take a few snaps for you if you gave them your femshep facecode?

Volunteers with PC and Fraps willing to perform this task??

I'm sure there are people that have read my fics that would love to do some screens of her, but the face code doesn't import properly into ME2... so I don't have her code because I didn't write down the sliders; I used artists string and figured out her proportions though. Maybe I could recreate it with my grid :?

Yeah, there's no Ari, either-- but that's for the best. She needs to keep her ego in check. She thinks a bit too highly of herself. My fault really, because I have a crush on her...

Hey, characterization questions are fun. If anything they even make you think about stuff that you might not have even thought of yet.

Hell, it's been a few pages since the last one (which I realize I never answered), so let's throw a few out there now.

*Your Shepard has a "free day". On this one day nothing else matters. There is absolutely nothing that she, or any of her crew, need to either worry about or be threatened by. Not the Collectors, not the Reapers, not Cerberus. This day is hers to do whatever she wants before having to go back to "business as usual". What would your Shepard spend that day doing?

*Out of everything she owns (or did own, if it went down with the Normandy or something similar) what is the object that your Shepard treasures the most?

*What is one fact (or more, if you're on a roll) about your Shepard that, in universe, no one else knows? It can be related to her past, her personality, whatever.
... that should keep ya'll busy for a while

Haven't done this quite yet as I've been falling behind on following the thread thanks to school work.  Still, I need a break, and I figure characterizing my FemShep is as good a way to take a break as any.  Hopefully I'll be able to live up to the standard you guys have been setting in terms of characterization. (:

Kate would spend that day with her crew.  After losing her team on Akuze and her family on Mindoir, Kate has come to treasure the precious few moments she has with her friends and refuses to let herself take them for granted.  She might gossip a little with Tali while working on the drive core with her, get tipsy with Kasumi on the observation deck, spar with Grunt in the hanger, or joke around with Joker.  So long as she's with them and they're enjoying themselves, she could care less as to the activity.  In the evening she'd probably retire to her cabin and spend a few hours alone with Garrus, just talking, cuddling, whatever they feel like doing together.

Kate's most treasured possession had to be the crudely woven bracelet made from purple and red thread that her sister had made for her to showcase a purple bead Kate had found at school.  After having worn it for over twenty years, it wasn't exactly in the best shape when the Normandy went down, but that doesn't stop Kate from feeling devastated over its loss.  It was the only possession she'd taken with her from Mindoir after she was rescued, and it had never been seen off her wrist.  Kate's sister Maria had told her that, so long as Kate wore the bracelet, she would be able watch over Kate, protecting her from harm and bringing her good luck.  While such superstitions are childish, Kate couldn't help but feel comforted by the talisman whenever she went into battle as it meant that no matter what happened, she was never truly alone.  After Akuze, it became even more of an emotional crutch after she struggled with survivor's guilt and a nearly crippling sense of self-loathing.  She is still coping with the loss of the bracelet, as now she has nothing to connect her to or remind herself of her family.

Something no one would know about Shepard would be how she discreetly funnels a good portion of credits to the families of her squad who died on Akuze by way of atonement for failing her squad.  She has made it her personal mission to make sure that any children they left behind get a good education and that none of their families have to struggle to break even.  Whether or not they suspect that she is their silent benefactor is unknown.

Has anyone tried this method successfully? I'd like to do that to acquire facecodes, but I don't know how to transfer a save from Xbox to a PC and I probably don't have the requisite equipment...

Aww, geez, thanks... I now have so many femshep crushes because of this thread :D.

@Fort - I love that outfit on Faith... I gotta say the renegade scarring freaks me out just a little, but Faith is lovely and that outfit should be an in game option for those who are daring enough...

@Fort: I had the same problem with getting the code for Jho when she made the TSP pic for Sia, Jilly, and myself. I ended up importing the character, going to create custom face and trying to recreate Alexis there. I then went back to where I could select the imported face again. The custom face kept the face that I was working on, and it allowed me to compare directly against the imported. It was far easier to make tweaks then. Plus, as you create the new custom face, it generates the code. (At least the PC version did)

And I totally have a girl crush on my Shep.

And she'd totally wear it in public too, just to be a completely disrespectful ass to society at large.

It was worth trying to recreate the ME2 face just to have a code. I had ended up rebooting my character since I wanted to change her to earthborn so I went all the way back to ME1 to start over. I was able to use the ME2 code to get my ME1 sliders exactly right and when I imported her back into ME2, it was the same gal right down to the last detail! (Just missing the ME1 scar. =p)

The problem is that imported Shepards have no ME2 code.  There is a way to reverse engineer it from the ME2 face morph, though.

i, like some mentioned, painstakingly went between "accept imported face" and "make custom face" in the ME2 CC. i used screenshots from all angles and alt+tabbed out to check my progress. even so, it's the vectors are off. they did something strange with the makeup colors in ME2 - blush, mostly, so i had to tone the blush down with gibbed. i can't actually re-create kyrie in ME2 for that reason.

well, and i don't like the face code in the squad skills screen. call me totally weird, but i've only played imports for that reason alone. ><

The only problem I have is that she has that strange divot area on her temple where her jaw is too thin for the model's skull. Her hair generally covers it, but it still looks odd at some angles :/

I missed out on these with Teagan 2.0 but that's what saves are for.  She's never so expressive as with Garrusmance.  Wistful sigh.
