She never experienced real love before Liara entered her life and then things just happened.
Best Friends:

something like a older brother in him. - Wrex: She respect him a lot and sees the father figure in him she never had.
She doesn’t have many friends, only Ash and Joker, but there are a lot of People she respects, like Adm. Hackett and Cpt. Anderson
Personality:
Kary is friendly, but introverted and almost never shows her emotions. She really needs her time to open up to the People around her, so it is always surprising for her that totally strangers ask her for help or tell her about their problems. She doesn’t miss Earth or its big cities as she is fascinated by everything alien and new, also she loves nature, especially Jungles.
Death changed her. She kind of feels there is something else within her now, something dark and evil witch lurks deep in the shadows of her heart, which tries to and manages to break free sometimes. Even if she isn't really religious, she now reads all kinds of Holy Books and Articles about death and afterlife to understand what she experienced and dreams about every night.
She changed her Hairstyle unwittingly into an more alluring one, reminiscent of her 'dark' youth on earth.
Pre-Service History:
Kary, approximately 17 years old
Karys first memories she remembers are from a rundown Apartment in one of the less wealthier Districts of Los Angeles, where she lived with other orphans and homeless Kids. Year for Year they had to struggle harder for their survival, other Kids joined their little group and in no time, they became a small criminal gang. Stealing was regular to her, even when some Kids slowly turned to more violence, as they all experienced the hell Earth could be, if you had no money.
After she and a friend got captured by a rival gang during a burglary, she had to watch how they murdered her friend, than turning on her, trying to abuse her. Luckily she managed to escape somehow. Terrified and scared she decided to leave this hell. Half a year later she volunteered for service in the Alliance.
Service Records:
As she had no proper education at all, she spend most time during and after her Basic Training learning most
of the stuff children learn at school. After three short years she was promoted to Operations Chief. Excelling at her given tasks and showing an natural affinity to attract her surrounding people, she was offered to visit Officers Academy by her Superiors.
Leaving the Academy 2176 CE as an fresh 2nd Lieutenant she saw herself at the top of the World. She finally had escaped her old life and decided to celebrate this, with an 3 week shore leave on Elysium. Just three Days after her arrival, the “Skyllian Blitz” took place. Within Minutes, the Slavers managed to besiege the local Garrison, practically taking the Alliance Forces out of the conflict. The Colony couldn't hope for help from the Marines and the local Law Enforcement and few Soldiers patrolling the main Colony Area thankfully accepted her help to defend the Colony. Everyone was impressed with her ability to rally the people and her actions during the final attack of the Slavers earned her fame beyond counting.
After the Battle, she became the “Hero”. People sang praises in her name, the Media wanted endless Interviews, the Brass was surrounding her and she even had to give a speech in front of the Alliance Parliament after receiving the Star of Terra. As if this all wasn't embarrassing enough for her, some Picture taken during the fighting even managed to became an iconic Alliance Poster.
The Admirals moved her into the Special Forces, also granting an instant promotion to 1st Lieutenant. At the Special Forces she further advanced her combat skills, especially Hand-to-Hand Combat, the use of Sniper Rifles, Hacking techniques and bypassing mechanics and after half a year she was moved to the N7 Program.
Kary during Hand-to-Hand Combat Training, Camp Linfen, Shanxi (2176 CE)
One Year later, during the Battle of Tofan she encountered the true terror of an Battlefield. It was like the Gates of Hell opened up the moment, she and her squad destroyed the Shield generators and called in the fleet. Massacres, Colonial Soldiers cutting of the Eyes of the Batarians, Slavers who using Slaves as living Shields, extensive use of Flamethrowers and Booby-traps. Even if She and her Squad just watched the fighting from
afar, they all felt like they could smell the Blood and hear the screams of the wounded and dying.
Joining the Spectres was her chance to make the Galaxy a better place. Even if it meant starting slow by showing her own crew, that aliens are just like us and nothing to be feared of...
Interesting facts:
- She sees her Friends as her Family she never had
- She regrets losing her Tattoos during the Lazarus Project
- She thinks that she only made two Choices of her own in her whole life: Joining the Military and engaging the Romance with Liara
- She likes her Scars and the pain she feels whenever something comes in contact with them
- Her scars are still bleeding lightly sometimes during her sleep
- She has acquired quit an amount of Frankenstein Vids, but she also watches a lot of cartoons and history documentations (and getting confused whenever the Docu is about the first human Spectre or the “Hero of the Blitz”)
- She trains one hour Kung-Fu per day at 1.5 Gravity and another hour on zero Gravity (this helps her greatly calming her mind)
