Thank you to everyone who let me borrow their femsheps.  I'm missing quite a few really good ones from this thread including some of my favorites, but decided 8 was a good number for the layout.

Thankyoouuu! I was thinking of the words 'harsh' and sharp' when creating her. Cate Blanchett is up there in my appealing list of women, but I didn't think of her during the process. Although, I can see the resemblance.
As for the name, I want to decided on her heritage before I can come up with something. She is mongrel but what stands out? I was kind of heading toward Asian. Also I want to use a common name but what is common? I don't know the people of Mindoir and it's the future. Maybe everyone calls each other Foo-Poo! I need more background.

Yeah, there are certain features that people use a lot, myself included. I think they're the ones that are easiest to look good, I know it took me forever to decide and just modified the default femShep face in the end. Someone told me that all female Shepards look the same to them, and another friend of mine posted a pic of her Shepard and she was almost identical to mine despite never having seen each others before. It's a bit of a limited CC, I think, but easy to make good looking Shepards as evidenced by this thread (and at the same time horrifying monsters that should never see the light of day).



I'm still stupidly excited about the visor, lol.





As for a common name, I dunno. The names and races for humans are so diverse in ME that it could be anything! Doesn't seem that colonies have concentrations of specific ethnic groups, so I guess it's a case-by-case basis?

I know how you feel, sometimes I see characters in this thread and do a double take, because they're a lot like my Shepard.  I had to stop stressing it, though, cause even if she's not a unique snowflake when displayed in a thread full of female Shepards, she's special to me.  

One good thing to do is go to masseffect2faces, and if you find something you like but isn't perfect, use that as a starting point.  My renegade and paragon characters look very similar, just due to personal preferences.  I think it's kind of like a drawing style, once you find your own, your work is recognizable.  That's one of the things I love about Chignon's Shepards, for example, her Noah looks a LOT like her drawing style.  I love that.  

And since I hardly ever post her; here's my Jayna Shepard, renegade and proud (using a modified version of ELE08's texmod makeup).  Cheers!

Now that I've compsed myself from the awesomeness that is the femshep group picture, I love how everyone is represented. Especially how Kallen's just glaring at whoever's behind the camera since her smile is rarer than tha turian councilor going "we must prepare for the reapers!" and I love how Kyrie's just sitting in a chair looking badass. XD

Thanks, AD.  I like how Noah is trying to look innocent even though we know from her smirk she only moments before pushed some poor SOB out a window.

I have a pair of good shots of Noah that came out of my screenshot folder. Sharing because I know she won't play through the Garrus romance (being otherwise attached) except it has THE BEST LIGHTING in the entire game. imho.

That was the entire reason I got ME2 for PC.  I have it for Xbox, but I wanted to learn mouselook.  And now I can roll through Hardcore no problem.

ME is pretty much the only shooter I have played beyond the first few minutes. There are just no words for how incredibly awful I am at shooters or pretty much any game that isn't just me smashing people with swords (even then I am barely functional). If I didn't trust BW to deliver with the story I'd have never even looked at it. In fact, both games sat on my PC for about 5-6 months before I even started playing. I've just grown accustomed to gaming with my keyboard and mouse after so many runs of DA:O.

I need a little bit of input on Lia 2.0. I've been taking Sable Phoenix's and sagequeen's advice and tried to put the Face Size at 16 and kept the sliders for her cheekbones and cheek width down. So now it's a matter of structure:

Face 1 Lia:



Rounder face, wider nose.

Face 7 Lia:



I've always been a Face 7 fan, but that "slope" she has on one side of her face is really starting to get to me, and I've yet to find a cheek/face slider combo that really works.

Opinions and all advice are welcome and most appreciated

@ jedi: that "slope" will be there wilth 1, to, i'm sorry to to say. it is the lighting in me2, i swear. kyrie had it suddenly. i kept tweaking her face until i realized it was not her - it was the light. at least, i THINK it is. perhaps someone else can give insight.

i like both faces. i think face 1 tends to a harder, more athletic look, face 7 tends to a more petite, youthful and beutiful look. not that other faces cant, be, that;'s just my opinion. i like her features. how do the others look?

re: ele's picture: i can't stop staring at it! so awesome. just love it! and yes, noah does look so deceptively innocent. kyrie's just like "sup?" and kathrine looks like she'd give me a hug and a cup of tea and then kill all my enemies if i had the good fortune to be on her crew. and teagan looks like she just got done with a photo shoot and is like "oh, another shoot? okay. do you need me to change and get my other guns? i do have one hidden, let's see if you can guess where..."

In my opinion, both look very nice. That said, face 1 gives her more of a larger face and larger distance between eyes and mouth, while face 7 has more compact features. Like I said, both are perfectly good in their own respects, and it's a matter of personal choice. I'm not sure which I'd recommend.
