After seeing the group photo with all the different Shepards in it, my brain managed to mash togerther the idea of Street Fighter and Mass Effect. The idea just popped in to my head this morning, and since I had nothing better to do I decided to create a VS screen in the style of Street Fighter IV with a Shepard Vs Sheaprd match up.

After eight hours editing screenshots and messing about with multiple photoshop filters and effetcs, this is the result.

Wow! Very interesting picture :)
My friend and I made a Fan Trailer with two Shepards few month ago.

By the way, as I promised here is a short story of Jane Shepard (Jane's POV). About her visiting the the Normandy crash site.
What I left behind... (a short fanfic. Jane's POV)
Sorry if what. It's just I'm used to write in Russian...

Love it, Akari. And I have to with what jib said: Alliance Shepard all the way!

Full Disclosure: Yes, I *really* enjoy telling TIM off at the end of the game.

Great work, Akari!

Also, maybe this has been brought up before, but for some reason I have the impression that femSheps (and those who play her) are typically more pro Alliance or at least more anti Cerberus than her male counterparts (and those who play him.) Thoughts?

I can't really speak to that in any general terms, but the reason I (and my femSheps) are against Cerberus is because (unlike BioWare's ME2 writing team) she actually remembers exactly what they are. Miranda and Jacob's reveal as honest humans is not enough, she knows Cerberus will conduct horrific experiments if they deem it neccesary as she saw while she was hunting down Saren and again with Project Overlord. She is no fan of the Alliance's new do-nothing attitude, so she reluctantly accepts having to work with Cerberus to stop the abductions of innocent colonists, but she will never sell her soul to them. In fact, once she gets wind of what Anderson has been doing to Cerberus after she destroyed the Collector base, her first reaction is to laugh at TIM finally having all his smug satisfaction blow up in his face.

Colonist/Sole Survivor Shepard w/ all sidequests accounted for.  The Alliance was her life, and the Cerberus whitewashing and leaking information about her back to the Alliance only served to make her more skeptical and hate filled of them.

Can't speak for everyone else.

Earthborn/Sole Survivor and by end of game 2 Teagan prob wants to distance herself from both organizations as much as possible.  Alliance because she feels abandoned by them and disillusioned that they aren't willing to do what needs to be done.  Cerberus because they are too extreme and of course for what happened on Akuze.  The earthborn history I gave her makes her kind of a lone wolf in the first place, not necessarily following allegiances as much as following her own code.  The Alliance wasn't her life, more like an opportunity.
A good example which illustrates what side she's on is the side mission where you find incriminating evidence against Cerberus and you can forward it to them or the Alliance.  I choose the 'keep it for yourself' option.
Here's hoping for a way to work with but outside the Alliance and Cerberus in ME3, maybe using Liara's resources.

Ella hates Cerberus, and certainly loved telling TIM what-for, but she's upset enough at the Alliance's behavior after she died that she doesn't want anything to do with them anymore either. First time through, she even turned down getting recognized as a Spectre again, cause it's not like the Council was doing **** for her either. I convinced her that it was useful though, so she changed her mind on that last one. Still never going back to the Alliance though.  They were her surrogate family after Mindoir, but they betrayed her loyalty and her memory just because she was dead?  Hell no, that's not ok.  She's still furious.

eta:  and she kept the Cerberus data for herself too.  She'd trust Hackett with it as an individual, but not the Alliance as a whole.  Cause, well, see above.  Morons.

Catherine, on the other hand, desperately wants to get her commission back. Misses Anderson, and Hackett, and her mom, and having the Alliance at her back. (And is a sole-survivor, so it's not like there was any chance she'd ever be ok with Cerberus.)

I equally hate the Alliance and Cerberus.

Cerberus because of their ruthlessness, and the Alliance because of their Bureaucracy.

That's why I always choose the Paragon path at the end of ME2.

You're not subservient to anyone. You finally get to do things your own way

Dia bleeds blue, practically. She'd do anything to be with the Alliance again, as it's all she's ever known and working with Cerberus left a bad, bad taste in her mouth.

Image IPB
Stella, on the other hand, is fiercely aligned with whoever she believes has humanity's best interest at heart. While Dia's a spacer kid, so is she (though Stella's a War Hero as opposed to a Sole Survivor), and her allegiance lies with those who give her the means to save the people she wants to save.

And I also have an ambiguous Shep who I haven't revealed here yet. Because I'm not happy with any of her faces. She's basically a mercenary. If someone paid her to sit on some beachfront property and sip fruity drinks while the rest of the galaxy burned, she'd do it.

An extra for lulz:

I, and by extension, my Shep, are very frustrated by the inability to break from Cerberus. In an ideal world, she would tell them to jump in a lake after Freedom's progress, or whenever she could manage to bring enough of the crew to her side that she could hijack the Normandy. Cerberus killed her squad on Akuze, Cerberus killed Kahoku, and now Cerberus is the reason the lieutenant who always had her back won't follow her. She understands, and hates the Illusive Man even more for it. ME3 had better let us leave Cerberus. For good.

In my ideal world, Cerberus would never evolved past the amusing two-bit villains they were in ME1.  At least then, they were entertaining.  :innocent:

Holly joined the Alliance in order to do some good. At least, that's what she believed when she was young. When the soldiers came to defend Mindoir, one of them was very kind to her and made sure she was safe. It would be like idolizing the fireman who pulled you from a burning building, so to speak. Inspired, she drove herself to be the best soldier possible and trained hard. She came full circle when she saved the colony on Elysium and earned the Star of Terra. During her work as a Spectre things got complicated, but she never gave up her personal code of honor and conduct.

When resurrected, Holly wanted to immediately walk away from Cerberus and go back to the Alliance. She also wanted to find her team. Unfortunately, her visit to The Citadel resulted in nothing but accusations and meaningless re-instatement as a Spectre. Seeing no other option, Holly decided to shake hands with the devil, for a time..

She blew up the base and told the Illusive Man to stuff it. Now she's got an amazing team, a new ship, Anderson and Hackett's support, countless allies across the galaxy and more emotional drive than ever. She hasn't lost faith in the Alliance and Council completely, so we'll see what happens.

I'm not really pro or anti Cerebus. I destroyed the base because I liked the idea of teaming up again with Anderson and Kaidan in ME3. Anderson's had Shepard's back from day 1 and sacrificed his career and ship to help her out. Cerebus has put Shepard in a bad position several times because he withheld information from her. And then at the last minute, he wanted that base for himself ... too little, too late. I was agreeing that saving the base was probably the smarter thing to do, but leaving it in Cerebus' hands? What was he not telling her? As a player, I'm gambling on this choice in hopes that Anderson will reach out to Shepard again as a result and she'll work with him directly. He couldn't trust her while she worked for Cerebus so hopefully that'll change. We'll see.

Adele hated Cerberus but saw them as a necessary evil while she worked with, not for, them. She doesn't hate the Alliance as much as is incredibly disillusioned. She's very idealistic, but with Cerberus she realized that she needed their resources. She was pretty antagonistic toward TIM and his methods, especially considering just how much Cerberus has taken from her (even if they gave her her life and ship back).

She still clings to her military training and the life it gave her (as a colonist/sole survivor, it gave her direction and purpose and the means to make herself stronger) but does not really feel connected to the organization itself anymore. In the end she's gone rogue and would probably not return to the Alliance if she survives past getting rid of the Reaper threat. She felt really good telling TIM and Cerberus to ****** off at the end of ME2 and is going to do things in a way that doesn't totally compromise who she is. She's learned how to draw strength from herself and the support of friends, comrades, allies and her unlikely partner, rather than a label or rank and being part of an organization. She knows she's going to need a lot of help, and will look to those she made allegiances with on her own terms for it. It helps to make friends, as she told TIM... she's willing to work harder to achieve her goals if it means no longer depending on people who the support methods she stands against and cost her so much.
