I love the Beret! I have only seen them used with the short or shaved hairstyles. Can you not use them with the longer hairstyles?....I would love to see one on Maddy.

Thank you!  The beret clips through anything but the short/shaved hairstyles.  I guess you could set it to 'hide hair' but then she'd look bald whenever she wore the beret.

ELE, loving rose. she's darling. man, i'm jealous of your modding abilities. the n7 armor looks so good on her. argh! what i WANT to do is take kaidan's horizon armor in fem version, then recolor it in grays and blue lights. *sighs wistfully*

however, i think that is impossible, so i will content myself with the hacks i *have* gotten down, thanks to you and rev.

and i am with you re: playing through ME1 again. i LOVE having kaidan back. i actually like the graphics - different, but still good, and i love the biotic effects then. but i don't think i can stand any more mako-to-get-to-the sidemissions. or virmire. honestly, i think this is the last playthrough for me until kaidan comes back. i just don't think i can handle virmire or horizon any more. a tribute to the writing that they bother me so much..

@ elf: re: ilos, in my head, it was not the only time, but then, i think they left it deliberately vague. i also suppose your comment about kaidan having disappointed shep *could* be true...really get very little reaction from shep about it.  again <_<

i doubt they spent much time together, but i never read it as saying "ilos only night - that is now canon." more like "the only canon night given was ilos" which is true.

for that matter, only 1 night for all LIs, unless we count the "cuddling" as more post suicide mission

speaking of which, isn't there some multiplayer version of ME in the works? now THAT would be cool if you could import ME appearances into that. ha! can you jsut imagine a LAN party with all these femsheps running around? i think i would be in geek gamer heaven if that happened.

I'm pretty sure that's the rumor. I would play the hell out of Mass Effect shooter. Just sayin. As long as we can make female avatars. Otherwise I might boycott in disappointment. Even Halo and Rainbow 6 let you use female avatars now.

Alexis (I don't think she's an Alexis... but I don't know what her name is) is Face Shape 4.  Pretty rare choice.


Christine, my plainShep, is Face Shape 8.  I dunno if I've ever seen anyone use Face Shape 8.

edit: Hate the new Photobucket layout.  Haaaate.  It's like DA changing everything every nine months.  Just find something that works and stick with it!

Same here too.  I have to admit, I was very disappointed by the Generic Tough White Alpha Male teaser; especially if the setting involves the Mass Effect universe, that's a really dull and uninspired choice to create first impressions or to excite fans.  I'm not saying they needed to use a female character, but if they wanted to show something new and imaginative, that image failed on all levels for me.

I'm not a shooter fan, but a Mass Effect shooter *could* pique my interest, but not if they're just mimicking CoD or another military themed FPS.

Wow, they do look a lot alike! Hahah, practically twins! One of my favorite things about Calla is her nose. While Dia has the same one, hers is more of a gentle slope than, well...

Speaking about the love-story with Kaidan, there's something I don't get:
I don't know if you girls already talked about it, but... only one night?
I mean, Shep and Alenko made love that famous night before Ilos, ok, then they killed Saren, they got some broken limbs, sometime had to pass... but when they are back on the Normandy hunting Geths why didn't they do it again? O_O

This can be taken in a few ways.

Some people imply that it's a one night stand, from Kaidan's "This can't change anything."  Really, he means that if they live through tomorrow, it can't mess with their social standing within their jobs (ex: Shepard throwing away the fate of the galaxy for the sake of Kaidan's well being would be a bad thing and he wouldn't have forgiven her for it) because loyalty to the Alliance is still #1.

Which could be implication #2, they only got the night before Ilos before going back to the Alliance after the attack on the Citadel, not getting arrested for mutiny since they did in fact make it through, and going back to the flirtiness but in a constant state of, "No time for love, Dr. Jones!" and back to waiting for that shore leave.  They might not have had the time for it on top of everything else.

Implication #3: Kaidan is a romantic, much as he tries to deny it.  The night before Ilos, he admitted his feelings to Shepard - no turning back, no way out (and from the game's perspective, whether Shepard sleeps with him then or not, that night still meant everything to him; probably not intentional, but still).  The night before Ilos was an emotional highlight of his life; anything after it was probably fun but less likely to mean "everything" to him more than Ilos already had.

*Shrug?*  It's however you want to think of it, like everything else that's intentionally left vague.  At least until ME3 when the writers say, "What, the fans think that meant something?  Bah!  Let's show them!" and set it in stone.  (Or, you know, leave it alone completely, in which case it's vague again).

And although FemShep is the only one who can romance him without modding, you might have wanted to talk about this in the Kaidan thread.

If LotSB is any indication, they will leave it vague.

Are they talking about a one night stand right before Ilos or a day or two before zero hour w/ the SR1? I think BW did it right and let that be something for the player to decide.

 re: teasers, my fave from DA:O was the one where it did a kind of slide/montage of different characters walking by duncan. dunno why they can't do a little something like that with shep in SOME trailer, just to hook those of us who are CC junkies. i know sheploo's their guy and all, but it would be nice to know it is possible to NOt be sheploo.

Vague is fanfiction gold.  I love  that I can fill in the holes however I want, even if it requires a bit of canon re-working.
