I read your piece - good job conveying emotion. I love how awkward she felt about it after the fact.

But then there was this one time...

Asari: What happened?

So, I was taking a break from video making and messing with casual outfits/armor. I had an idea for a few stories about Aislinn and Garrus, since I was taking screenshots of them last night.
Here's the first one:
Second Chances
For some reason I always imagine sweet, innocent Aislinn going beserk upon seeing Garrus get hurt during the siege on Omega. Guess that's just how much she loves him.![]()
*cute pic-snips!*
I read it, commented on it, and LOVED it. I love reading short snippets or fiction about other people's Sheps. Helps me to really see this other Shep's universe and the characterization you've brought to this woman.
Help me, as I've forgotten: Aislinn is an....Adept? Vanguard? Sentinel?

Omega's so great for atmospheric shots. Especially in Afterlife, which is kind of appropriately named.

"Funny... feels like home."
She doesn't think much of Aria.

"I ran across plenty of types like you back on Earth. Wasn't impressed then, ain't impressed now."
Jessica wears her helmet at all times during the first part of the game because she hates her bald head. Doesn't stop her from being badass when she needs to, though.

"Who's gonna stop me? You?"

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.
It's OK, I've posted very few pictures of Aislinn on here and haven't discussed her much. She's an Adept. And quite the firecracker.

Sable's pics remined me of that small yet persistant theme in there. I love Jessica, btw. She's got this...aura...like she doesn't take crap from anyone, and it shows! I like that.
Thanks! That's one of the best compliments I've recieved about her, because that's exactly how she's supposed to appear.

"You might want to rethink your phraseology on that."
Of course she's not always so dour. She can lighten up a bit with her friends.

"So a Spectre and an assassin walk into a bar... stop me if you've heard this one."
And ARGH! I haven't been able to work on that group portrait all friggin week. All I can do with Masss Effect stuff is post here. It's frustrating.

And I just read your ficlet in your blog, and I have to say you nailed Jacob. Very few people write him correctly, he's always too exuberant, or too wordy, or too flat. But with your story, I could hear his VA speaking the lines with no effort. You made him very likeable. Also the last line was very darkly funny. I approve.

I hope this picture isn't TOO blurry, because I really love her face here.

Hanging out on the Normandy, being very amused by Joker but trying not to show it.
To reintroduce:
Delta is an earthborn sole survivor and infiltrator. Her name was probably just chosen randomly by a junkie mom who thought it sounded cool. She always had a spunky and outgoing personality, staying positive despite a series of abusive foster homes in her youth. She was a heavy drug user in her teens, when she ran with the Reds, but she stopped after her best (and only true) friend Petra died of an overdose.
She romanced Kaidan in ME1, and I'm not quite sure how she's going to handle Horizon yet. The one trait that has kept her going through all the hard times in the past is her ability to... well, get over things, to put it in a very non-eloquent way. She tries to have a very "salarian" outlook on things: hurt for a short while, get over it quickly. I imagine she'll cry for a night then chalk it up to yet another thing that's out of her control.
I think she'll technically "stay loyal" and be open to a future reconciliation. Garrus could sweep her off her feet in a heartbeat if he was human, but Delta wasn't raised among aliens and the thought of being sexually attracted to one just hasn't crossed her mind. Yet, anyway. I can see her becoming a Garrus girl; we'll see how things play out.

Delta is really cute! And the whole Kaidan/Garrus situation is something my Moira is currently facing. I have a feeling it's going to be awkward in ME3 when he shows up and finds out she's moved on.
@Sable
I'm very happy you like it. I'm also glad you liked my interpretation of Jacob. I see him as being a good friend, someone you can confide in. All my Sheps are quite fond of him in a platonic way.

"Wow." I bow to your FemShep face-fu.
Here's a parting shot of Eileen Shepard mixing things up a bit on Freedom's Progress.

Question: When you went to build your shep, what was the FIRST thing you settled on and what was the LAST thing you settled on? Did you pick nose and go from there? Eyes first?
For Abby, it was the face structure and eyes (both 3). I was trying to make an asian looking shep. Clearly I failed (but I ended up liking her and kept her <3) After that, I think it was the hair and then the nose. Everything else, I don't remember. But that's in ME1, I like more Abby in ME1. In ME2 I'm having trouble. I'm not sure what's different, but I dont like some animations. I keep making some minor changes in her mouth shape, chin and jaw. Still not entirely happy.
For Hayley, I chose first her skin color, hair, face structure and nose. Everything else was kinda chaotic, almost randomizing the sliders until i found something I liked. I took several tries and runs through Lazarus Project, Freedom's Progress and talking to everybody in Normandy to see how the animations worked

Another question.
What's the age of your FemShep(s)?
I mean she/they could be 29,30 or 31. Depending if you count Death years.
Jen and Jane do not count death years.
I know those are the 'right' numbers, but I picture Abby in her mid 30's and Hayley in her mid 20's:blink:
For Abby that's kinda hard because the CC doesnt help at all with the age, but that's how it goes in my mind.

I understand what you mean about running through the first part of the game several times. I'm currently doing that with a new Shep design I'm working on. She's reaaaalllly close to being done. Just a few tweaks here and there. She's a sentinel.
Though there is a timeline, if I had my way I'd imagine:
Holly, Trista and Moira in their mid to late twenties. Aislinn in her early twenties and Constance in her early thirties.

For Shepard to already be a Lieutenant-Commander by the age of 30 in non-wartime armed forces is positively meteoric. I'm perfectly happy with an age of 31 in Mass Effect 2, which is where the personal history and timeline entries of the codex puts her.
True, but she's also supposed to be quite exceptional. I always like to think she was a lower rank before joining Anderson's crew. He heard about what she did, had her promoted and put on his ship. Hackett might have helped things along a bit, as well.
But that's me off in imagination land.

First, a matter of courtesy: I'm theartistposter formerly known as Tighue. I've retired my old alias in favor of one that I use pretty much everywhere else. Tighue was once the name of a mighty barbarian during the age of Diablo, a game I played with my brother on countless occasions for as many hours on end ... but that's a story for some other time. Fare thee well, Tighue.
