Well, you have certainly "picked up" on Maddy quite well!

It is cool to see someone elses take on your own character..and it can be a compliment!  If you have the same view of an unfamilier character  as that character's creator......then the creator did his/her job of convaying that character through words.  

EDIT:  YEAY!  My first "Top-O-Page" ......So Maddy, how 'bout a smile?

This brings Cam's Lv60, mostly completed playthrough to and end. Doesn't mean I won't go back and do things differently! Did anyone do the ally achievments, either because of the bonuses to talent cooldowns or just thier perfectionists?

I have all the ally achievements, as I've played the game so many damn times. I believe I got Liara's on my first playthrough, then did Kaidan's or Garrus' next...can't remember.

Awww I love these screens.  The end of ME1 = good times.  Seeing Shep come over that debris is just so epic.  I wish I could go back to my first playthrough when it just blew me away.

I don't care much for achievements.  I think I would have them all because I've played so many times, but I've switched systems over the years and lost profiles etc.  On PC if I really want a bonus I just add it in using the console b/c I'm a filthy cheat.

I've got all the Ally acheivements. I went on a me1 acheivement hunting spree and got talent acheivements based on who my ally's were. Tali and Wrex are a hilarious team. same with Liara and Garrus. and of course Kaidan and Ashley I had to do a TON of side quests before virmire. *sigh* I wonder what Horizon would hav ebeen like with both of them....wait.....no I don't...unless one of them sided with you, then that'd be awesome.

i got all of the ally cheevos in ME1 - heck, all of the cheevos....and wound up spending a LOT of time in the game



my first playthrough of ME1 was 70 hours total time is close to 300 now.

i only have the ally achievement for kaidan. heh. i always want to take tali to feros ('cause of the geth), liara to noveria (in hopes she might be able to reason with her mom, though i know in a metagaming way she never will), and ashley on therum (just cause she has the snarkiest things to say and it's funny). garrus goes on all side missions and virmire. wrex makes a cameo for luna, his loyalty mission, and the run towards ash on the AA towers. but then we go back for kaidan.

yep, kaidan was my wingman every time. easy on the eyes and neural shock isn't bad either. <edit: that...sounded bad. i meant that neural shock was a nice skill to have in the party. not...

i'm going to leave it there...

Maybe because it's midnight here, but I dunno. I'm hyped! Cam's about to go through Freedom's Progress and I'm already getting a mixture of nostalgia for both games....it's a weird feeling.

I too take Kaidan everywhere, except Virmire where I like to send him to the AA towers because I want a senior officer with the 2nd team, mainly though so Shep doesn't heft him like a sack of potatoes rescuing his ass.  Not because I don't think she can, but because it makes me giggle.  There is no giggling in Mass Effect.  Well some, mostly in elevators.  Let's see, yep, I take Liara to Noveria too.

The squad I use majority of the time across all playthroughs is Kaidan and Ash, until...you know.
Even though Shep is a SPECTRE, I still view her first as Alliance so she brings her fellow marines.  Garrus is the next squaddie in line (b/c he's awesome) because as a turian and C-SEC I see him as the most military oriented and thus a good fit with Shep and her squad of soldiers.  So everyone else, do you pick squadmates based on gameplay or RP reasons?  I'll use the crappiest armor in the game if it looks cool, so that's my answer.

I am guilty of taking Garrus everywhere. No RP reasons, I just love Garrus xD The other characters get switched around depending on my mood >.> I usually end up with a Kaidan and Garrus team though.

RP REASONS, HANDS DOWN. I won't go so far as to wear crappy armor (unless I can hack the stats or find a glitch that'll help with that) but I WILL take specific squadmates on specific missions.

Wrex and Tali on Therum (B/c Tali talks about the Therum level when on Haestrom, which leads my to RP that she was on the ground team) as well as in my team against Saren. (Repeatedly you hear "Tali helped save the Citadel!" In my headcanon, she was on the ground team that kicked Saren's ass.)

Ashley and Kaidan on sidemission, because most of my alien squads are for plot missions. The only missions I take Ash on aside from side ones, are the initial Virmire ones before she has to take over arming the bomb.

Garrus and Tali were on the Cerberus missions with Cam, as well as Ash from playthrough to playthrough, because they were the most vocal about Cam's joining with Cerberus.

....So, yes...ahem...RP reasons. Yeah...anyone else?

Oh, no, it's nothing. Just asking is all. I actually think they look quite impressive considering how you took them. Mind you, I take my pictures with a camera as well, but generally they're not as good as yours.

I just read an interesting article on the impact of gameplay mechanics on immersion/storytelling. I find it's easy for me to ignore mechanics for the sake of roleplaying, but still, the 1st playthrough is always the best. I don't remember where I read it. Great story, ELE08...

I think it's an interesting point for me, at least. I find the morality system in ME2 as opposed to ME1 takes me away from thinking about what my femshep would do in a given situation because I'm thinking about persuades I'm going to have to make later. Mixed alignment Shep in ME2 not nearly as clearcut as in ME1.

I know I added a hefty amount of renegade points so Teagan could make some intimidates that storywise I thought made sense. She was almost 100% paragon in ME1 so it made RPing her descent into ruthlessness kind of difficult using the new mechanic.

Combination of both I suppose. I wear armor largely based on what it looks like because the game isn't hard enough that I actually need to watch my equipment. For squad mates its usually for GP reasons unless there is a specific RP reason for why I want to take a certain squadmate. For example I always take Kaiden with me to deal with the biotic extremist and Liara to deal with Benezia.

Oh....well, thanks!  Yeah, right off my screen. I'm actually impressed out they came out. I would have liked to tone down the glare on certain parts, but to do that I'd have to turn the flash back on. Ugh. A difficult thing to balance.

RE: characters. I did things for possible awesome dialogue. I almost never took garrus anywhere until I needed the overload and sabatoge acheivements, I never relaly got behind his character until I made Kallen romance him then dump him for JAcob (prepares to be attacked my garrusmancers) Kaidan and my male sheps made grat Bro teams and with my canon adept maleshep they made waves of enemies get their ragdoll physics on being being biotically throne (yes biotic brofists are implied) but he was saddened when he realized that he had to leave Kaidan behind to save the love of his life Ashley. Tali was brought on every mission that involved Geth since I RP'd it that she gave us an advantage because of the quarians knowledge of Geth. Wrex was brought on missions that involved mercs and Garrus was brought on missions to random planets that i could land on when i felt like it and his "loyalty" mission then let Saleon kill himself. (and went on to save sidonis, poor garrus XD)
