I think it's a question of "traditions". Most gaming heroes so far have been macho men, and most of the high-profile female game protagonists have been hyper sexualized, like Lara Croft. I enjoy femShep because she's an interesting character and because, for once, it's not a big deal that she's a woman and she's not demeaned in any way with regards to getting the job done. Well, that and the VO

Actually offtopic I know, but a really good female protagonist, that isnt sexualized and has pretty good Voice acting is Faith from Mirrors Edge.

I did to.. and I chose Morinth over Samara.  Apparently you don't get to have time alone with Kelly post suicid mission if you do that.

Being your secretary and all, I don't know why she doesn't do that without flirting.  lol

If you just have dinner with her she'll feed your fish, and you don't have to follow up with the conversation that leads to being able to call her up after the final mission.  My Shepard's friendship with Kelly was purely platonic, so I don't have to feel guilty about leading her on to get my fish fed.

Ah yes, "Femshep." We have already dismissed that claim.

But in all seriousness, I wholeheartedly support this thread and the intricate and powerful character that is Femshep. In tribute, here's a picture of my one and only Shepard. Name's Resa, vanguard, paragade to the end, lover of our favorite Turian vigilante, and, of course, one of the few women in the galaxy who could kick anyone's ass, any day.

I think Kelly's cute enough, if you just ignore her alleged status as a psychiatrist.

She's certainly the only love interest, bar Jacob, who shows an interest in Shepard's feelings.
