I too take Kaidan everywhere, except Virmire where I like to send him to the AA towers because I want a senior officer with the 2nd team, mainly though so Shep doesn't heft him like a sack of potatoes rescuing his ass.

and that's why i leave him with the bomb. well, that and RP elements. but i figure adrenaline+biotics = lift. i laughed my head off at that scene. i know it's just interchangable footage, but i LOVE that femshep saves him like that: practical, tough, and no glamor to it at all. priceless!
@ killer angel: gorgeous!
@ kappa neko: nice job! she really looks very real and very pretty. and yeah, the CC is not easy to work with. i made kyrie based on myself also, but sometimes she looks like me, sometimes not so much.

though i did have someone see my screenshots and say "that's you!" so close enough anyhow.

this is the best! i love it! ^ kyrie would have even less makeup than that. she'd wander in with mascara and chapstick, be assaulted by miranda, and yet still leave wearing mascara and chapstick.
@ vrael: Why did I play femshep?
Hmmm... short answer: I always play a girl if I possibly can. I think the only game I enjoyed playing more as a guy was Jade Empire, and that was only because I thought the monk avatar was hawt. I had him romance Dawn Star and that was about the sweetest thing ever. Plus he looked awesome doing Iron Palm.
I got addicted to ME because of the PC's voice. I loved a game where my toon could "talk back." I loved the space opera, even though I'm usually fantasy over Sci Fi. I loved the arc of being able to define a character who rises to heroism. And I really loved the Alliance game mechanics - perfect way to "be in charge" of a game, yet still get assignments and quests given to you. Mainly loved the VAs. Found out Kaidan was romancable and ME jumped to my favorite game.
Femshep was a harder sell - it took me a while until I felt like I "got" her character. I had to let go of thinking of her essentially as myself (even thought I based her on my looks) and let her be her own character. Once I did that, I had more fun with the game and could even enjoy some of the less-favorite writing moments in ME2.
And I could also enjoy the fact that femshep kicks ass in ways I could never hope to do.
