I still love hearing Hale say:
"Perfectly legal? Yes it is, close the door on your way out"
I love that line. One of my favourites in ME2.

I actually have a feeling that FemShep will be at her finest brilliance in ME3. Don't ask why. Just a hunch.

Heh. The uncomfortable nature of that encounter is why Renée was all business with Kelly.JamieCOTC wrote...

My first inclination is to make characters that have at least a passing resemblence to myself. Like you said, it's a roleplaying preference, and I find it helps with immersion.
I'm pretty sure making yourself is totally impossible with Mass Effect since the feature shapes are static and have limited range. Unless you happen to already look like any of those features, unlikely. I've never tried, I'm mixed race and none of the eye or nose settings even come close.
Most regular looking people do not transfer well to what is possible in games anyhow. They lack nuance and quirky features are easy to lose in translation. Look at Miranda: she is gorgeous in real life, doesn't completely transfer over. She still looks pretty most of the time, but there is still some serious uncanny valley happening

Interesting question. Right now at this moment? No, I love my face as it is, flaws and all. It the only face I's ever known
If I could somehow magically go back in time to before I was born and play god? Maybe. Because technically "I" don't exist yet. Too many variables to think about, need more coffee. But I doubt many people would say no to being more attractive, and my favorite femsheps are how I see the ideal woman (which is for the record, Monica Bellucci. Pls refer to my Dragon Age avatar for my favorite character I've ever made, ever.)
RE: Indra; that's Indra right? Damn, she looks tough. And I mean that as a compliment.
It's interesting to see the different approach others take when playing an RPG. When I watched my mother design her ME character her first instinct was to design someone that resembled her. The same with my father. I remember finding that to be odd and I suspect that having some sort of artistic background affects my perspective on this. I see my face everyday in the mirror; I've drawn it plenty of times in the past......what's there to gain in recreating my look in a virtual format? I know that the world I'm playing in is not real so trying to tie in a real world analogue simply doesn't work for me. I would also jump at the chance of recreating how I think I should look. It's a great feeling to not be shackled by what you were lucky (or unlucky) enough to be given at birth; it really is a freedom of expression.
Please make sure you do this during Grunt's recruitment:Skyline_Stanza wrote...
Ugh, now comes something I dread...mining for minerals...
Sure, it helps upgrade the Normandy and our powers/weapons, but it takes soooo long to do. Can anyone pull off the top of thier heads the names of the mineral- Rich planets? So far, I'm in like the 75-80k range for all four, save for Eezo, which is at 62k.
I'll be posting some pics soon! Just gonna finish a side mission, do some more mining and do Grunt's recruitment!

There's actually one single planet where you can get as much of every mineral as you want. It's really fast, in fact it skips probes entirely and just deposit the minerals directly into the holding tanks. It's called Gibbed Prime, this page will tell you how to navigate to it, it's not visible on the galaxy map.
In order to use it you actually have to log out of the entire universe and manipulate the quantum probabilities, but once you log back into the universe you'll have as many resources as you'll ever need.
