Thanks guys.  I played through that part twice because I wanted to see what the intimidate was.  It was a little creepy, but fitting of Moira.  Hale delivers that line so well.  Ended up pushing the guy out the window in the end.

Yeah, just got done with Horizon. It's a lot harder when you're playing a character who's going to stay faithful to Kaidan *sniff* Not being able to explain yourself satisfactorily is HARD, whereas my other Shepard was pissed off and like "FINE. BYE."

hmmm... for some reason, i like me1 version a bit better.
i feel the same way about my abby. i keep making little changes in me2, still not entirely happy. i dont know....

me too. she looks *best* imported unaltered, but she really just had this glow in ME1.

i think it was kaidan.

gamma brightness in game up 25%, then edit screens in picasa: fill light up about 25%, highlights 10%, and warmify on or color balance up all the way - whatever gave the best skin tone.

It was heartbreaking for Trista.  I wish there were more things you could say to him about your relationship.  She's not about to give up on him, though.

Things were rough for Moira, too.  Kaidan is the only man in her life she really trusted and loved.  After Horizon she was bitter, angry and ran into the arms of Garrus.  She basically believes he turned his back on her and feels emotionally betrayed.  No wonder she's grouchy and pushes mercs out windows.

My Shepard's definently took it differently.



One Shepard felt so hurt and betrayed that she stopped reading Kaidan's email half way though and only got back to it later, to simply delete it from spite. "How about you I DONT KNOW MAYBE this Alenko' then went for Garrus.



One Shepard was so hurt she pushed everyone away even Garrus and Tali her friends, but fell for Thane for some reason.



Lastly my Earthborn Shep who romanced him was used to harsher things happening and accepted that things happen and is waiting for him till ME3.



Horizon makes me seethe though.



Shepard can calm down terrorists, mercs, people who hate each other, lead people in battle yet in this case cant do anything to help the situation. Especially my Sole Survivor sheps who despise Cerberus and cant agree with Kaidan/Ashley.

I could stand it if there was some reconcilliation (or recognition looking at you Kasumi and LOTSB), but without it, it feels hamfisted and an afterthought.

My main Shepard wasn't even supposed to romance anyone in ME1. Only reason I did was because I didn't know when I'd get to play the game again and wanted to see as much as I could while I was able to. But then, I tried replaying her and it felt wrong without romancing Kaidan. The breakup angle is more interesting to me for her character, I guess.

Alice is trying hard not to kill people with her mind right now. She's going to stay faithful but boy, she is pissed at everything and everyone right now. Don't mess with a short-tempered biotic!

Lena is luckier, she got Liara and gets Liara later xD

Ugh.  Horizon.  I miss the good old days.

Kaidan.  Shootin stuff.  Shootin stuff with Kaidan.  Or pulling a singularity and letting Kaidan do all the work while I try to get a good shot.  Good times.

this. i keep thinking it would hurt less if i played other sheps with other LIs, but I just can't get into them. in da:o, the only char i beat the game with was kyrie cousland who romanced no one. i almost finished an elf mage who went for zevran, but never finished that playthrough. actually, zev turned out to be better than i thought.

i tend to find a favorite LI, one who i like best and like their story best and stick with it. if i had da:o to do all over again, i think it would actually be leiliana (sp?). 

but yes. horizon was a moment that, if truly necessary for the plot (and i'm willing to wait and see if it was), should have been handled with a deft touch. instead, it was like they sent a drunk, angry, renegade sheploo armed with a Cain to write the dialog.

It could have been a great scene but BW screwed it up royally and it came off like a cheesy plot device.

And Kaidan channeled Ashley.

Bioware made Kaidan and Ashley the exact same charachters so they would fit each scene they used them in.



They both had the same reactions, and almost identical lines.

They both get angry at Lilith.

They both act relived to see Shepard in one piece

They both hug/shake hands

Their reactions are the same after the first lines: outrage, anger, and shock.

Both admit to loving/deeply caring for Shepard.

Then both leave in a huff and declare their undying love for the alliance/their hate for Cerberus.



While they both can fit that, there is next to zero difference between the two in Horizon, plus both go on a secret mission later on.

Nice Bioware reduce two charachters into one.
