I am proud to say all my fish survived my first playthrough. True survivors of the suicide run. As for my second... oh crap. I've done a ton of missions and *just* remembered them. WHOOPS.

The tank does add some nice color to the room in the game though.

Meghan and Avery decided it was a giant night light. Helped with the agoraphobia from having that observation window directly over the bed of a woman who died in space.

I am proud to present, my newest femshep Novae Rog Shepard ( pronoucned No-Vey Rouge) She's an Uber-Paragon adept with the Colonist sole survivor background and she's gonna be my Tali-mancing femshep.

Y'know, I started off with male shep doing the whole paragon thing as my canon, then I decided to play femshep: Went through ME1 as a mixed-alignment/renegade engineer, but saved the council, the rachni, colony on feros & shiala, killed kaidan, romanced liara, etc. Imported, played in a similar fashion as an infiltrator: Mostly Renegade, but with essential paragon choices, blew up the base, among other things, everyone survived. Honestly, probably my favorite playthrough thus far, so count me in the fan-club - I've successfully converted

I loved HaleShep in ME1... I couldn't finish a FemShep playthrough in ME2. Will give it ago again in ME3 for sure, though.

^ you know, i never noticed that until your fic, Loved. now i can't get over it.

and speaking of writing, i LOVE the writing on tali's loyalty mission. it is awesome. you show up, there's the dorky guy in pink who's all annoying and named quib quib...and then i go and talk to him and he has some pretty good points. the subtlety there, the characterization, the pointing at plot points bound to show up later (dark energy, geth war, migrant fleet vs. reapers) and pointing back (veetor, kal's rescue, etc.) is all so good.

why is the writing so inconsistent?  why?

Because the VS is not important <waves hand>

You dont need to see the VS again sage <twists other hand>

The new fancy LI and such are way better obviously.

Nice try Bioware but I rolled a natural 20 on that check!

The infinite monkeys of Edmonton on their word processors do have to make some errors.  Hopefully, ME3 will answer our prayers.

Wasn't that impressed with the new LIs. None of the males really blew me away enough to cheat on Kaidan with the Shepards who romanced him. Now if they'd tempted my Shepard with, say, Hackett or Kal'Reegar in ME3? I can't promise any loyalty.

She doesn't visit Samara a lot either.  And talks to Kasumi from the doorway.  [/minor spoilers]

Honestly?  No idea.  They had some newbies they wanted to try out?  Tali's and Garrus' LMs and RMs were two of the better written.  At least they were done justice.

When Garrus is in the room, it's like Cam's....leaning...on air.

Because not taking Grunt on Jack's recruitment mission is like Kyrie without Kaidan: IT ISN'T DONE.

Garrus: Trust 'im?
Cam: Not as far as the shockwave from a Pull+Warp combo could throw him.

Miri: Welcome aboard the Normandy, Jack. I'm Mir....god, WHAT is that smell?

Adele: *sigh* Every day it's something new. Why isn't "Hey, the galaxy and all life as we know it (and don't know it) will be destroyed if you don't help me" enough of an incentive?

But... but.... what's the galaxy compared to my mother's sister's husband's neighbor's best friend's cousin's cat?  PUHLLEEEEEAAAAAASEEEE, Shepard!  Only you can help me!

How do you know the cat's cuteness won't be the Reaper's One True Weakness?

Harbinger: Prepare to meet your destiny, puny orga- awwwwwwwwww....
Hackett: All units, open fire.

Hackett: Fire the main gun.

<Anderson and Wrex are both fired from two mass relays attached to each other>

Anderson super punches, and Wrex headbutts any who get in his way, and by doing so destroy the reapers in around 2.3 seconds.

Who needs a collector base when you have Captain Awesome Anderson, and Smexy Wrexy.

Hmm.  Sounds like a strategy.  Could a massive feline deployment be what saves the galaxy?

Although the military part of Renée is saying, "Keep the things out!  They'll gunk up the ventilation."

I'd guess something that's pretty much meta-Kevlar. Maybe it's artificial spider silk with high tech stuff running through it, like a temperature control mesh, first aid lines, and condition monitors.

I'm just pulling stuff out my rear from having read waay to much SF.

So I just finished my 3rd play through, all male sheps, and I'm contemplating doing a fem shep run. Besides the LI, are there any big differences between male and female play throughs?

an extra line fo dialouge (during the lead up to garrus's recruitment mission) other than that it's the same game except with Jennifer Hale providing the Shepard dialogue,  which might catch you off guard if you're used to Mark Meer.Image IPB

Pretty Shep is pretty!

And I gave up on fish the first time they died. I had horrible flashbacks to the Sims and decided that the tank is just there for ambience. My Shep is more fixated on her model ship collection, anyway.

I think, as far as writing goes, Mordin's loyalty quest is my favorite. The genophage is such a hugely complex issue and his involvement, and how he processes what he's done, is very compelling for me. It lacks any real personal moments for Shep (which is where Tali and Garrus' personal quests stand out), but it hits me where I hurt.

For sheer self-righteous badassitude, I love going full paragon on Zaeed. I enjoy him as a companion (although his VA is the VA of a DA character that I view as a total father figure to one of my characters, so that's confusing), but it is so fun to put him in his place, especially since it's his own impatience that forces the choice in his loyalty mission in the first place.

This.  I'd figured that out pretty soon through Jessica's ME2 career when she started obsessively closing every panel on the SR2 whenever she walked by.  At first I thought it was just me fiddling with the little clicky bits the game presents to you, but somewhere along the line I made a connection that it was because open windows or forcefields into space now freak Jessica out.

Then I noticed the window above her bed and I was like "OH CRAP".  She never slept in that bed again until they put a shutter over that thing.
