I think it's the combination of her features. They are all very unique - the big eyes, broad nose and mouth. I have about seven sketches of her and all are unfinished. It's a real challenge to draw her. I wish I could explain it better.

@ flies: ty for the info. may have to try that out. will be finishing kyrie's run through ME2 before long and then i just can't do ME anymore. unless i know there's kaidan payoff, i just don't think i can do horizon again. 

though i *am* tempted to make kyrie's evil AU cousin, liz shepard, a ruthless spacer infiltrator who went berserk when her beloved cousin kyrie died on mindoir and eventually became renegade commander shepard.  maybe....

Thank you.  I really don't care what people's preferences are but I was just bummed that the commenter felt that since females are shortchanged in gaming, she had to choose the male character in order to get the best experience. 

ryn, i wasn't trying to disregard what you rightfully felt when you read that comment.
i guess i felt you were hard on her and i was just pointing out that the she's just doing what some of us do here. play the gender which gives us the best game experience.

It was the same with Kaidan but once I get a feeling for the character it's usually easy. It just hasn't happened with Kyrie yet.

I feel the same way. I'll finish my "canon playthrough" and that'll be it - until, or better, if there is a Kaidan & Ash DLC.

Your possible Renegade Shepard sounds very interesting. You should do it.

I love to think I have SOME talent at this kinda thing...(by "SOME" I mean "VERY LITTLE") ......but nothing like this.  I have always wanted a really elegent looking portrait like this of my "canon" Madeline, but DON'T have the talent for it at all.    Tried it once....."EPIC FAIL" is all I need to say.

You shouldn't feel nervous about posting you work, especially here.  You have a real gift and ytou are here among kindred spirits. This is the right place to show them....so don't be shy and keep them coming!

Boy, this is a rather bleak outlook.  Madeline is a "Kaidan Girl" too and would be heart broken without a "final act" to their turbulent love affair, no matter how happy or bittersweet.   I can't see BW not finishing that story, it leaves to much "unanswered" ....not like they have not done that before however. <_<
