First, I want to make her attractive. Then I want her face to match her character and personality. For example Fiona is a paragade, so I wanted a face that gave that impersion she is a nice lady but have a hint of darkness to her.TheKillerAngel wrote...
When you design the appearance of your Shepards, what do you aim for?
almost exactly this. i felt like shepard would be someone who deals amazingly well with tough situations, but i liked the idea that she would struggle internally with the emotional fallout (visions, cerberus, etc.). so i wanted a face that sort of implied that a fresh-faced farm girl went off and had to become a marine and tried to deal with all that came with it.
Heh, that's what I was thinking when I designed Avery. Hence the squared jaw and the wide, bight eyes.
With Meghan, I wanted someone who you'd least expect to be the one to kick a merc out of a window or who'd electrocute a mechanic. As Shenzi's dubbed her, "Little Miss Angelic" couldn't possibly do those things, she looks too nice.
Technically, I was trying to recreate a very old character when I was making Alexis. All I had in my head was really the mental image I had for the original character. I did have this, very old sketch (was drawn for me by a friend back about 10 years ago). Not really sure there's a lot terribly in common other than the coloration of the eyes, hair.

And then to more recent stuff.
@ELE
Your new Shep is stunning. Awesome job.
@Chig
Very nice doodles.
And then to my own Sheps.
Amy just did Purgatory so I have few pics from her there. She really didn't like Jack tho. Amy who is so paragon that her shine hurts my eyes sometimes and Jack who Amy think is psycho and should be locked up. They don't mix well.
Talking with the warden Kurill.

And finally meeting with Jack. Amy has red glow from the lights in her eyes in the first pic. Which kind of proves the point of her not liking Jack.

Her name is Keira, and she is of Hispanic descent. Here's a few facts and details:
Colonist/Sole Survivor
Sentinel
LI: Liara
Paragade
Prior to her romance with Liara, she had never been attracted to another woman before, and had always been somewhat confused about her sexuality. She despises liars, and those who manipulate and exploit others for their own selfish gain. To this day, her beloved older brother's death on Mindoir still haunts her, as she feels like she failed him. When Ashley dies on Virmire, she is tormented by similar emotions yet again. She also encourages Corporal Toombs to kill Dr. Wayne, in part due to her aforementioned hatred of those who use people like assets. Upon learning of Cerberus' involvement in the tragedy on Akuze, the seeds of her eventual misanthropy are sown.
She's also attracted to Liara's rebellious nature, and begins to develop romantic feelings for her when she learns that Liara defied what was expected of her in following in Benezia's footsteps.
I'm really enjoying this playthrough!

Loving that screenshot.
I like Kiera's background. But, poor Ash.
I suppose Liara's ME1 background could be called quietly rebellious. I rather like her personality as it comes out in LotSB.

Keira looks good Les and I also liked the background stuff you've thought about her. Or did she just evolve like that when you started to play? Her stern look also suits her background really well.

Thank you!
Indeed, I absolutely despise the Virmire decision, as I adore both Ashley and Kaidan. However, I feel a little better as I now have multiple playthroughs in which I alternate between who to save, allowing me to enjoy the presence and development of both characters in ME2 and beyond.
I agree, and I think that Liara's rebellious nature is something that players often overlook. Keira finds that aspect of her personality very endearing, though!

I established a few character and background details when I created her, and have continued to expand upon her character as I play through the game. I'm really enjoying it!

She's so adorably awkward it's kind of easy to overlook. That's one of those areas where the player overrides the character in my games. I like Liara so I have to figure out why my femSheps would as well.

Oh and thanks for the
compliments. It's my first time making a texture, so I know it's no
where near the awesome that is ELE and scamper. I just really wanted
certain options when it comes to makeup and more subtle freckles. I'm
not a huge fan of the complexion 3 texture.
It's awesome as far as I'm concerned. I have yet to venture into face texture territory. I guess I'm a little afraid of the horrors that might result.

It's just one of the green eye options in the CC. I think the one after the darkest green.

Gah... I really wish they hadn't cut Tali as an LI for Femshep. I suppose the only bright spot is that it means that no one will conflict with Liara and Tali can be my best platonic friend, but it also means that if I want to romance Tali, I need to deal with Maleshep...
I've done that before. You just need a dudeShep headmorph and it's only painful for 2 conversations. Although you need subtitles on for the third convo and femShep's voice does get a little, um... husky during the pre-Omega 4 romance scene.

i don't think i've said how much i love amy's coloring, but i do. the honey hair and honey skin (and honey armor) is just lovely. a lot of people go for the fair skin,/dark hair sheps, and this combo really stands out. it's very nice. hints at mixed heritage, just not sure what, exactly

sweet! love this. she looks awesome. few people can pull of the icon bun, but she can. like, this is her being serious about killing people in style. like very much!
and randomly, am playing borderlands with the hubby:
may i say, i LOVE playing a female avatar. it's just...can't quite put it into words, but i love being able to play as a girl. before, it was like shooters all called you "sir" and the guy would get hit and grunt or yell like a guy. is SO nice to hear a lady's voice when shooting mobs.
i am so glad VGs are going this way. femshep leading the pack, of course.
