Maybe I am taking this too far, or maybe I need more coffee.  The pic just above my text.....  can that - or does it look like the falling sparks form angel wings?

Woah. The sparks do look like angel wings. Makes the screenshot more beautiful.

That's actually the first thing I thought of when I saw this picture.  Image IPB

Thought I'd share my new Shepard, but at the same time old Shepard.

Name: Lenneth Shepard
Background: Spacer/Ruthless
class: Adept
Alignment: Renegon

No fancy screenshots I'm afraid. I've never bothered to set up flycam in ME1 and haven't imported her in to ME2, so it's just shots from conversations and cutscenes. I have installed Fraps however and it's so much easier to get screenshots. I just used to use the Print Screen & paste in MS Paint method.

I suppose I should explain the new/old statement I made at the beginning of this post. The first Shepard I made when ME2 came out was called Lenneth, (named after the main character from the PlayStation RPG Valkyrie Profile) but she looked far to similar to the default FemShep, so she got ditched for my now canon Shepard, Hrist. (also named after a character from the Valkyrie Profile games)

So I decided to go back and remake her. I made her a Renegon as an opposite to my other Shepard who is a Paragade. I did the face from scratch, only keeping the hairstyle and colour, eye colour and class from the original. I also changed her from a war hero to ruthless. I'm quiet pleased with how see looks and I even came up with a bit of story for her.

Since she's a Renegon and has the spacer/ruthless background I decided she was going to be very stern and by the books. She follows rules and orders and expects everyone under her command to do the same. She's pretty cold toward people as she knows that marines are ment to fight, and knows that people under her command are sometimes going to die because of her orders. So she doesn't get friendly with people and ins't interested in getting to know them on a personel level, as it's much easier for her to deal with the death of someone she doesn't really know as opposed to someone close to her. She also hates Bateriens after the events on Torfan.

So far going through Mass Effect she's killed the Rachni Queen, killed over half the colonist on Feros and let the hostages die in order to kill Balak in Bring Down the Sky. She also won't be romancing anyone and Kaiden's going to buy it on Virmire. Oh and she's defnintely going to let the council die. That'll teach that smug Turian counciler.

Y'know, I thought of that too, but then I just chalked it up to my mind. I thought 'Naw, no one else is going to see that. People'll think I'm off my rocker.'

I LOVE THAT SCREENSHOT. The wings (whether intentional or not) serve to make the shot more...poetic and beautiful and give the romance more...."umph", for lack of a better term. Image IPB

I like her! She stands out. The combination of her nose and lips appeal to me as well as her hair and eye color combinations! What class is she?

Thank you, she is sentinel, I mostly play sentinel it is my favourite. Other than that I love infiltrator (more so in ME2) :)

Finished a new FemShep playthrough in ME1 earlier, and had the character imported into ME2. The character had bun hair in ME1, and I figured that it would make sense for her to "let it out" now that she isn't an Alliance soldier anymore.

As it turns out, though, there's something about the shape of her head that makes it incompatible with other hair types. I've looked everywhere I could think to, but no matter what I change her scalp keeps popping out through her hair. Trying to google the issue hasn't produced any results, but I did notice that hair modding had previously been discussed in this thread, so I figured I'd drop in and see if anyone could help. '-'

this may be a topic for the "modding is possible" threads, but first, did you remake her in the CC or did you import her and then try to hack on the new hairstyle using the gibbed editor? if the former, then that sounds like a rendering issue. if the latter, then you may have incorrectly typed in your texture codes. even a single character out of place with gibbed can make for very odd things.

I've copied and pasted the texture codes to avoid any errors there.

The hair itself shows up just fine, but part of the scalp just doesn't seem to want to be covered by it.

Oh, I forgot to mention this sooner...

Yesterday and for the first time ever, I played through "I Remember Me", which is obviously the Colonist assignment in ME1. What struck me was just how powerful and emotional the quest is, predominantly due to Jennifer Hale's beautiful and fantastic voice acting. The manner in which Shepard comforts and reassures Talitha as she hugs her is so poignant, and emotionally resonant. It's been a while since a video game choked me up to that extent, but that particular sidequest succeeded in doing so.

Absolutely incredible. I do hope that we're treated to further interactions between Shepard and Talitha in ME3.

ELE08 - you have done some of the most impressive femsheps that I have ever seen.

Thank you!  Sometimes making new ones is half the fun...especially waiting for new content to come out.

Non have really "stuck" so far though.  The only one who's made it past the suicide mission is Teagan (<3).

My, that's a large gun.  Between her and Garrus, enemies don't really have a chance.

I like her tooooo...it really depends on the angle.  Seeing as Ash hasn't made it in really any of my games perhaps she can live on in a femshep.

Incredible screenshot, of course.  Wherever did you take that?

Hurr hurr :)

Those were on Lazarus station in an otherwise inaccessible area.
In hindsight seems appropriate.  It is the site of Shepard's resurrection, a phoenix out of the flames seems a fitting analogy.  Plus she is a visual tribute to Ash, who has never made it to any ME2 playthroughs (one's that were finished anyhow.)  Her hair lives on!

Sounds like the latter.

I haven't figured out a way around it short of remaking a new character in the CC, but the bun hairstyles make, I guess the cranium size, larger than the non-pulled back hairs or the crew cut.  They do it so the pulled back scalp texture looks like it has volume, so changing it to another hairstyle results in the scalp clipping through.  I have no idea how or if it's possible to 'shrink' the head size in Gibbed, it might be faster just to recreate the face.

Yeah, at this point I fear that attempting to recreate the face might be a much faster option, despite all the work involved.

*sighs*

Oh, well, at least I have the guide for that...

I haven't seen the paragon convo for "I Remember Me" but when I played through the sidequest with Shai, I choose mostly Renegade and a few neutral lines.  Hale does a superb job with this too.  This goes to show how versatile Hale can be.  Speaking of Hale.........

Personally I find myself partial to the one where she has the muzzle of the Widow shoved into the camera with her omnitool active.  I considered myself very lucky to get that particular moment.  I think it says "Infiltrator" more than any other Mass Effect screenshot I've ever seen.

You're welcome! Jessica is really unique - not only in the way she looks (beautiful and sharp) but also the little snippets of stories and explanations behind her character you posted. I tried to draw her when I first thought of sketching some of the Shepards here but I couldn't get her nose right without reference. I think I'll try again next time. Image IPB

Agreed, and her fantastic work in bringing Shepard to life is something that should not go unnoticed.

For such a brief and simple line, the manner in which Shepard quietly says "Come back soon, Liara" is heartbreaking.

All my playthroughs (measly 3 in ME1 and 12 in ME2) have all been FemSheps. My current playthrough is my first and only ManShep (wanted to see romance dialogue I havent seen), and after playing a FemShep so much, with the great voice acting, I am incredibly let-down with how mundane the VA for manshep is. Hes like a cardboard cut-out, almost monotone. I'm looking forward to this playthrough to be over so I can get back to a belivably voiced FemShep. Ugh.
