I like to think Shepard had been dropping hints to Garrus for a long time, but the boneheaded turian just didn't get it.  She had to up the ante!  It was a carefully calculated maneuver!

Eh garrus is too attached to Sheaprd in my books. The Yahg Shadow brker even put it in his dossier "Will never reach true potential if he stays under Shepard's command" and he definitly won't if he's romantically attached to her. Garrus should be the Spectre to replace Nihlus and give Turian Spectre's a good name again after the whole Saren ordeal. (Maybe Samara should be an Asari spectre too since she's already a justicar)

true, I took it that Miranda was taught to fight in every situation and as a lovely lady she might have to fight in a dress and heels (like Shep does during Kasumi's mission) and she got used to it.

You cannot deny the Space Hamster. He'll thwart any who cross his path.

And, late to the party as always, but going back to the armor discussion, I go with what is best stat wise. I understand that want to look awesome, but I guess my years of playing other games, I forego "looks" for what's best for the situation. For my FemSheps, that's normally the best armor for their class, and even the "ugly" Collector Particle Beam.
