There are certainly options that you can pick in the dialogue, as a Renegade, that is xenophobic in the first game. In the second game, you can make your character go along with the ideas and goals of Cerberus for the most part.

I don't know weather to romance Kaidan or Liara....

I love my Renegades.  It's yet another thing I love about the Mass Effect series.  You can take the "bad guy" options without being a total jerk-ass.  You CAN make some jerk-ass decisions, but most of the time I can play a 100% Renegade without feeling like it's an evil character.  I usually never take "bad guy" options in video games because they just seem so unnecessarily cruel and I can't relate to protagonists like that.

I have one uber Renegade (Evie - 100% Renegade bar filled but also about 10-20% of the Paragon bar filled) and 2 Renegons.  Kate is maybe 75% Renegade, 25% Paragon.  Liz is more like 65-35.

I'd recommend romancing Kaidan, but then I'm quite biased in his favor.

Y'know, it's weird....in my headcanon, Cam develops a crush on Kasumi and tries to act on it....

I'm not quite sure about how it gets resolved, because I'm pretty sure she still loves Liara, but she's...confused at that moment, and Kasumi's like....her best friend.

I'd love to be able to romance Kasumi as FemShep.  

As for romances, I've done all the ones available to a female Shepard.  I adore them all.  Mostly because I'm fond of all the characters in Mass Effect.  It really depends on the sort of personality your character has, I think.

introduced a girl friend to mass effect - she went straight for maleshep (why?????!!!??) i did convince her to try femshep. she instantly made a renegade. i am not exactly surprised, but it was funny to me, somehow. i guess it's because i just can't play full renegade. i keep finding kyrie gets more neutral every playthrough, but it's never really renegade, ya know? like, than's mission, i renegade threatened the merc, but didn't throw him out the window. i KOed the salarian too, but the dude pulled a gun on us. but beyond things like that, i just *shrug* could never get into it.  but kyrie is definitely more to the renegade side than her first sugar-coated outing as a para-super-gon. but i think it's because i always want to be the good guy.

Who does you FemShep(s) mainly take on missions?

Jane always takes Kasumi on like every missioon. She loves the remarks in battle, the shadow strike that and they are BFFs. She also take Garrus.

Jen takes whoever. It all depends on the mission.

Grace takes Samara and Jack.

Edit: Oh, I forgot the ME1.

Jane took Ashley and Tali.

Jen, well she took whoever, it depended on the mission.

Grace, she mainly took Liara and Garrus.

Hmmm...Rachel mixes it up a lot. Though, she takes Miranda a great bit because she's, IMO, the most useful squad mate. Or Grunt, because he gives her Inferno Ammo (my Shepard is a Sentinel or an Engineer, so she lacks fancy ammo powers).

As a fellow FemShep lover, I just thought I'd pop in a say hello! I've never had any interest in the male variety Shep. I suppose as a woman I just can't connect to the character. Anyway, I've been enjoying the many awesome screen caps (including the hilarious captions) and other funny tidbits throughout the thread.

I've been playing ME1 and 2 again for the first time in quite a while, and WOW. The sting of the Horizon reunion with Kaidan was certainly fresh. I was shocked/ saddened/ resigned all over again. The beginning sequence with Shepard dying was fresh again too. So sad!


This is my current FemShep, Chloe. I play on my Xbox, so no pretty screen caps, just bad quality pictures of my TV

She takes Thane and Kasumi for missions because those are my favorite characters, heh (and Mordin before Thane is around). Even on insanity I choose the squad I'd like to have around rather than the most useful. Masochistic of me perhaps.

Depends on what mode I'm playing on. Normal or veteran - I metagame and bring whoever I know has the best comments for that level.

Hardcore or insanity - miranda and garrus almost exclusively (if it's loyalty mission than whoever and miranda)

Depends on the mission, but UJ tends to take Garrus the most. She has a bit of friend crush on him.  She also likes to take Jack just to let her vent.  Kasumi is another favorite.

Well...

I RP everything in both games, so it depends on the mission and what's involved, usually for story purposes.

In ME, I had mostly alien squadmates, and Alenko and Williams were mostly used for side-mission.

I had a Tali/Liara squad that I used for Feros, and a Tali/Wrex squad that I used for Therum ,because Tali mentions Therum in ME2. They were the squad that helped Cam take down Saren.

If I had Kasumi, she'd be a permanent member of Cam's squad, no matter the team.

In ME2: for the Collector mission, I take Miri and Garrus. Story factors a lot into how I pick a team.

Miri and Jacob were my squad on Miri's LM

 Miri and Jack on Jack's LM

Jacob and Tali on Jacob's LM,

Tali and Garrus on each other's LM,

Mordin and Samara on Mordin's LM, 

Thane and Samara on each other's LM

and Grunt and Jack on Jack's LM.

Renée ended up doing most of ME1's missions with Liara and Garrus, because they make a nice balanced team.  Plus three overloads at once takes out most sheilding.

In ME2, she's mostly got Garrus and Miranda, if only because they give a good mix of support.  Plus she wants someone she knows already.  Although Grunt has made a few apperances, and who the wingmen for loyalty missions changes.  One of the Garrus/Miranda pair ends up riding shotgun at some point.

In ME1, Rachel used Liara all the time (of course) plus Ash or Wrex if she was an Engineer, plus Garrus if she was a Sentinel.

Question for the male Femshep players:

Do you guys make your femsheps romance Liara (or mod them to romance the maleshep LI's) exclusivly, or do you make Femshep romance her intended me2 LI's nd Kaidan for the expereince,



Me I've done both. Kallen on the 360 had her LI conflict with Liara because she romanced Jacob as her vanguard and her soldier form romanced Garrus but broke up with him for Thane Also cheating on Liara because the soldier had an epiphany with her death and hated renegade Liara and loved Paragon Thane. Angela was Single but did romance Kaidan before virmiring him because she felt Ashley couldn't have made the bomb go off and she wanted to save Kirahee and co. Kat got her a piece of an Alliance Lieutenant and has remained faithful despite a certain Turians suggestions of blwoing off some steam.
