Apparently it's not canon in the promos (which show Sheploo romancing Liara) and I guess because of the "Regs" against fraternization in the alliance, well um a little problem there, if the regs were that serious there'd be no SPACER sheps who's parents were IN the alliance. Regs my ass.

I always took that as ackowledging an old friend, since the dialouge is the same even if oyu didn't romance the VS but yeah prior to LoTSB me1 Li's got no respect in me2. Guess bioware wanted to make us cheat.

He never calls the romance "one night" - that's really out of context. He references to the night before Ilos in his message and states that it meant everything to him.

Those who cheated did so by their own choice/decision. Just because BW dangled their new candy in front of everyone doesn't mean you have to eat it. There are many of us who stayed faithful.

PC launch trailer was Sheploo and Liara

No Femshep tho she is at least ion teh back of the box:blush:

NEver said everyone cheated, jsut that the me1 LI's got cut off and the new ones were blocking the view.

It's not that hard to stay loyal, if you truly care for the character you romanced you would stay loyal, regardless of what is new to offer, if you want to see what else there is, then you make a new pt.

They might not have been in the same chain of command. Momma Shep's on the command track. Papa Shep could be a yard dog or similar. (Yard dog = One who stays at a shipyard facility and fixes the holes people on the command track get shot into perfectly good ships.)

because she's the bomb and a half and then a quarter of a bomb on top of that plus a bag of chips. BBQ chips, b/c they are the best.

Still the same result though. Lots of fairweather fans bailed on the ME1 LI because of the "new toys" "blocking the view", it was still all a choice on the players part. BW doesn't really care who does what in the game, all they care abotu is how to sell the most copies so they are doing all they can to obscure the look back.

Shepard's parents wouldn't have served on the same ship.  They might not even have been the same branch, her mom's Navy and maybe her dad was a Marine.  "Fraternization" deals with direct superiors and subordinates.  There are plenty of married couples in our modern military who serve in different units or on different ships.
