Nope, I have one without LI also. Well, Jennifer has alternative version of her who's without LI in ME1 and ended up having a thing with Kelly in ME2.

That's her.

I have few different versions of Tiia and no one has LI's. 

Friendships are underrated it seems...

The only romance free save game I have to carry over to ME3 is from a new ME2 game, I just can't play through ME1 without  romancing Kaidan.

I can't put up with being called "Sir" for two games.

It's only for one game, but that's still a long time to be called sir I will concede. ME2 recognizes your femShep is female and still recognizes the romance with Ash so you get the romance reaction on Horizon and the email later. I'm not holding out too much hope for what happens in any possible VS dlc or ME3.

As for the romances... my two canon femSheps are faithful to Liara. For my non-canons one is kind of a lost soul who felt fairly rejected after Illium, but the events of LotSB have her rethinking things. The other is faithful to Ashley and will stay that way even if she ends up lonely in ME3.

I think I wouldn't mind playing with a single Shepard all the way through the series, but I feel like the romance with my ME1 LI is an important part of the game, and I want to see that through, first. And while it's easy to avoid FemShep's abrupt overtures in ME2, you have to actively shut down the ME1 characters. Doing that to Kaidan is impossible for me...

I was just about to say how easy it was to me to turn down Liara and sacrifice Kaidan because I am a male and from Finland (etc. bla blaa) and then I checked out your profile. Generalizations... Yeah, I know.

Well, like so many of you, I too really love the story of this game and the RP ideas that go along with it.  So… here is my new main lady, Alyia Shepard!
 
Background:

Earthborn, Sole Survivor, Paragon.

ME:1

Let the Council Die, Chose Anderson.  (Though Alyia follows the paragon model, she is a pure tactician and will often ignore her emotions for the sake of military logic.)

ME:2

Alyia is a pure biotic which during her restoration under the hand of Cerberus, caused several problems with certain parts of her powers and how she is able to control them.  As a result, Alyia now will always have a slight biotic field around her body which glows with a shadowed blue tint.  During times of high emotional stress, this biotic field will magnify to excess and will often be beyond Alyia's ability to completely control.  As a side effect , Alyia's skin has been altered to be rather pale with her eyes in a constant state of a blue-glow.   Images below show what I'm talking about.

Personality:

I have tried to play Alyia based upon her origin and developed a personality around the idea that growing up in the slums of Earth and being the only survivor of the war, she tends to be highly closed off from showing her emotions.  Her relationship with Kaiden in ME1 was the first time she allowed herself to love someone and so once she was able to find him again in ME2, you can imagine how well she took his response to her.  When Kaiden rejected her and accused her of being a traitor to the Alliance, Alyia’s heart was broken beyond anything she could bring herself to accept.  As a result, she pretty much closed down inside and gave up on ever finding joy in her life.  She soon became so bitter as to what happened with Kaiden and with how Anderson/the new council refused to openly provide her aid, Alyia rejected her loyalty to the Alliance and joined Cerberus.
While still broken-hearted and torn emotionally about her past, Alyia is completely dedicated to her crew and helping the universe to be brighter than it has been for her.  However, she will openly flirt with members of her crew (Jacob, Garus, Thane) and takes her romantic relationships with them as nothing more than a casual encounter.

In the end though, Alyia is a dedicated hero that will sacrifice herself without reservation to save the life of another though at the same time, she holds little value to her own happiness.  Basically, she is like many “heroes” in that she is as much, or more flawed than everyone else in the story.

I only checked this thread once yesterday and when I come back there's 10 pages worth of posts!

Anyway there was a few questions in those 10 pages so here's my answers.

Armour picked for stats or looks?

Looks. My last 2 playthroughs of ME I've ended up using low level Onyx armour for the vast majority of the game, as a better version didn't appear in any of the shops or fall out of an item create.

Same in ME2. I won't even use that sentry visor or whatever it's called that gives you an extra 10% damage from headshots.

Squad mate picks for Missions?

ME1 playing soilder: Garrus & Liara.
ME1 playing adept: Depending on the mission, Ashley, Tali, Garrus & Wrex.

There was a question about your newest Shepard and there being any renegades. I think I can answer both questions with one picture.



She's not a full on renegade more a renegon.

Finally there was a question about male players doing any of the romances other than Liara. I've done the Kaiden romance in ME1 and Thane & Garrus in ME2. I didn't stick with the others though and always end up sticking with Liara. She just seems a better fot for my Shepard.

Latest Shepard (pictured above) didn't romance anyone going through Mass Effect. If she romances anyone in ME2 it'll probably be Garrus.

Lastly a screenshot I though looked pretty cool.


Really liking the fact that I can just spam the print screen button with fraps running and then go through the pics later to see what's there.

Cam always wore the Cerberus officer outfit. She's my canon Colonist/Rutheless adept.

I myself had toyed with the idea of Cam as a sentinel, mostly because of the defensive abilities, both in ME and ME2, but I just love having Cam be able to set up biotic combos all on her own.

That's a lovely pic, Skyline!

Jennifer Hale's performance in that scene makes it impossible for me to resist the paragon interrupt during Tali's breakdown. Also, I felt like an absolute terrible human being the one time I completely missed that interrupt.

I've been trying to get back my inspiration for a fanfic I've wanted to write, and little by little, I think I'm gaining it back. This idea's one of the more interesting ones to cross my mind, and it deals with Miranda, her loyalties to Cerberus and her hypothesis that the Pragia facility went rouge. Plus, it sort of weaves its way into making the new biotic abilities seem more plausible.

Well, that's the oddest nickname for Jacob that I've ever come across. 

Kasumi's probably sneaked a peak at dem abs. It's one of the things Jacob's known for in his romance....well, the end of it anyway.

What I don't get is her sudden interest in Space Shaft.

I think one of the appealing things about Kasumi is that she has a lot of flair and she doesn't take life too seriously; so even if she's grieving for Keiji on the inside, that won't prevent her from admiring a nice set of abs...a commendable outlook, IMO.  Even though it's really a joke on the part of the writers, I think it fits into her character's taste for finer things...including the physical assets of men.

well  it was for Males who play Femshep. I know some guys who play who only romance Liara because they don't like men like that and wouldn't romance Kaidan, Garrus, thane, or Jacob. so basically it's like "can you be secure in your masculinity to puruse a romance with a romancable crew member" kind of question. I know it was kinda weird for me to romance Kaidan, but in the end I enjoyed it cuz of how happy Kat was.

Three FemSheps so far, two Thane romanes and one Liara. 

It's a female Shepard, not me.  I'm as straight as it gets, but if the character I'm exploring is a straight woman, I'm not going to run away from what the character would do in a solo video game... no one's even looking! 

What, I'm supposed to feel that my manhood is threatened by that?

Well because some people wanted me to do it, I decided to start doing mini fics about Fiona and her crew from both games.

For anyone who is new to the thread, Fiona is my main Shepard, she is a sexy ninja and romanced Liara.

Here is the first entry, fixed some issues up. Criticism is welcomed.

Anyways here it is, this takes place during the tram to the hot labs on Novaria, an argument between everyone's fav krogan and the adorable prothean expert.
