I prefer the Kestrel breastplate because it isn't a breast-plate. Seriously, boob armor FTL.  I actually think the Kestrel armor would be a lot more comfortable, too, especially when the alternative adds three cup sizes.

The new armors have really nice details, but I still miss the old medium and heavy armors from the 1st game.  (Well I don't miss them that much because I just mod them in, but whatever.)

Shep still has her womanly curves, but w/o the major bewbage the new chestplates seem to add.

Just throwing this out there for anyone inclined, but I just found out how super easy it is to turn the heavy n7 Shep wears in the intro into any of the heavy ME1 armors.  With texmod, it's a straight rip from the 1st game, no photoshop skills required (well, you'll need to know how to copy paste :P).
Medium's not so straightforward unfortunately, the armstripe adds some extra complications to the texture.

Eh?

I squeed when I first saw it ingame.  I love the old armors.

I pefer to think that these new armors offer better protection (thicker)... Aegis vest, for example, is supposed to be a vest, extra layer of protection on top of armor? The difference is not that big and ME2 armors look bigger in overall anyway.

I did like ME1 heavy armors, though.

I think the new armors definitely look bulkier overall b/c of the design, even if they aren't that much larger.  I like both, but I prefer the design of the old heavy.  The drawback being that you can't mix and match parts with the old style.  I use both.  It really depends on the femshep :)

I preferred the armour in ME1, even if some armours looked worse than others the model was still fitting, yet protective. She looked like a soldier and not some stripper with knockers that could fire bombs.

I do like the armours in ME2 as well, but it bugs me that some of the DLC armor, that look awesome on Shepard, don't have the "toggle helmet" option. I didn't spend so much time making her look good only to have it hidden behind a bloody helmet lol

@Yuki: Yay sexy Yuki-dwarf is back :D

Yes, the game is definitely in dire need of a helmet toggle. And yeah, she's back for now. I missed seeing her face around :P

Also, now my heavy armor is prettier thanks to ELE! Thanks so much :DD

For the lack of better explanation of this picture: Liara stole Tiia's gun and now, well, look at her face.

That actually made me LOL IRL.

Not to be to too off-topic, but does anyone get weird graphical glitches around the eyes and face in ME1 and ME2? I'm trying to figure out what the heck is causing it and fix it somehow. It's driving me nuts. Only happens in certain places, though. Like the Presidium, Tuchanka, looking at the Reaper, etc.

See what it's doing to my poor FemShep:

Oh yeah.  Flickering textures, eyelashes that go through the lids...  It's just Unreal being a jerk.

It only started happening to me after I increased resolution to match my screen's aspect ratio. Drop it back down, and it might go away.

yeah, at the start of ME2 I almost Scrapped Novae Rog because it looked like she didn't have eyelases but then when she got on the normandy they reappeared.

Going back to the armour styles between the games. I do think the ME1 armours look better shape wise on Shepard, but a lot of them had some really horrible colour combinations, or looked a bit boring. The N7 Onyx armour was definitely the best looking in my opinion. I do like the fact that you can customise the pieces in ME2, although I have to agree that the chest plates are a bit over the top size wise. Maybe Bioware could equip manshep's armour with a hugh cod piece, and see what reaction that gets?

As for the clipping issues I think it's something you just have to put up with. My main Shepard's eyes clip through the lids in some scenes, but thankfully it's rare.

Also have a couple of flycam shots to share. There really are some nice effects on the biotic powers.

To clarify, it's not clipping that's the issue. It's flickering textures. To an obnoxious degree. I'm going to try a few things before giving up, though.

It's annoying when you do a lot of video editing and can't capture an awesome scene because of it.

As for the armor, yeah some of the ME1 color combinations were.. just wow.  Like Phoenix or that yellow and white armor I can't remember the name of..

:?

I get that too. Most likely Biowate srewed up something. That kind of cliping happens in their pre rendered in game cut scenes too. My gpu is from NVIDIA, though I am pretty sure that this happens to ATI/AMD card owners too(?). Extremely annoying and sometimes it is so bad that I wonder how it passed internal testing.

yes... it happens to me a quite a lot with my hayley. at first thought it was some problem activating fly cam...
but it isn't. it happens even it cutscenes.
like this  one in LotSB (charging the big sucker). I've seen other shots of that same scene and they're are ok.

but for some reason, those glitches don't happen often with abby....

@Aislinn: Yeah I get that too. Notice it mostly when I'm in the Presidium and it seems to be around the hairline as well. Have searched for anything that can fix it but there doesn't seem to be anything around.
