that's plenty of time to drop us a kickass VS DLC right?

I highly doubt it - it's better not to be overly optimistic about anything regarding Ash or Kaidan. It leaves you a chance of being pleasantly surprised.

I agree.  And I also think that realism and pessimism are fraternal twins of each other.

The optimist thinks the glass is half full.  The pessimist thinks the glass is half empty.  The realist knows if they stick around long enough, someone is going to have to wash the glass.

well, like my shep, i am an eternal optimist.

though i just now feel a little like a horrible person in that i'm more concerned for getting kaidan back in ME3 than the fate of earth. wow. that's...bad sage. very, very bad. you are a bad paragrade.=]

At least we got the awesome video of Hale and Hillis being playful together in real life.

Yes, that was epic.<3

LONDON!

i must say, earth seems to be holding out rather well in that preview. i mean, considering what the protheans said re: their go-around and how quickly they fell, i was actually rather impressed.

With that trailer, my caption of having Renee getting in touch with her inner Sir Winston Churchill right before the Suicide Mission seems a little prophetic.

Don't normally post on this thread but just want to say I agree the hell with you guys that Hale should've been given the nod as best human female performance. Three of my alts are femsheps and the performance she delivers is phenomenal in both the main and the DLCs (another category that got botched). Anyway I think we all know who the real winners of that award show were.

Helfer is a good actress, but for StarCraft 2!?

She had like thirty or forty lines of dialogue in the entire game, including cutscenes!  Her work as EDI was more deserving of recognition!

And she beat out a woman who has voiced the main character for two games?  Not just one main character, but essentially three main characters per game, since you can choose Shepard to be mean, nice, or neutral.

StarCraft 2 wasn't even as good as the first StarCraft!  And that includes the voicework for Kerrigan!

Gah!

>goes off to break something<

I agree - wth! She had like no lines in SC2. But I hope that Hale wins next year for the whole series. She totally deserves it.

Thanks for your support and agreed!  Hale doesn't win and a zombie DLC wins over LotSB?  Really?!!  lol

Jane is not happy at all that Ms.Hale lost. Jen isn'r either. Grace is having a major renegade moment, not normal for her. While Brianna is REALLY  NOT amused nor is she happy.
Hale should have won! She did such an amazing job performing FemShep and all her other characters. She really deserved it.

EDIT: Oh almost forgot.
Jane and Jen aren't all that happy to return home. They have way too many bad memories. Grace just wants to see that the colonies are fine, and to see her friends' homes. Brianna wants to see her mother very badly and has always wanted to visit Earth!

YAAAAAAY FOR ME3!  Seeing the Reapers gave me chills.

So here's a question:  How will your FemSheps react to finding out that Earth is under attack and millions have been killed already?

Resurrecting this a bit.  I think UJ would be pissed at the Council beyond human comprehension that they did not heed her words. The council is t=not the only one she will blame.  Logically she will know that Harbinger is the ultimate cause, but she’ll also carry the guilt that the Reapers targeted Earth because of her.

The Shepard guilt is an interesting angle...they do only target Earth b/c of her. If the one who had brought down Sovereign was a turian, then they would have targeted Palaven instead, and turians.

Well, TIM seemed to think so in ME2, but if that is so, millions have already died because of her and they don't run w/ that at all.  I'm not saying they should use the guilt angle either 'cause not every character would go that route, but it would make for some interesting fanfic for those who do.  ;)

I'm running that route with my Shepard if possible. She's already guilt-ridden from her past. This isn't going to be good for her.

ME3 trailer -> http://www.gametrailers.com/video/vga-10-mass-effect/708362

woot! holiday 2011. just 1 year. :D

I know right? I'm excited, but at the same time a little...sad? LIke when I reached the end of the Harry Potter series way back when.

To think, by this time, next year, we'll all have our hot little hands on ME3, playing it till our eyes bleed and our geek meters explode from the sheer awesomeness of killing mecha-Cthulus with the entire gaggle of amazing squadmates we've come to know and care about.

....Epic doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about this game.

None of Cam's squad had better bite the dust!  They're all going to make it out to see the Reapers destroyed!

Re Shep's guilt at the Reapers targeting Earth: I could go that route with Cam as well. That's a very interesting point that the two of you bring up, jlb and Jamie.

I'm looking forward to seeing more photoshopped pics of the trailer with FemShep. We have some really talented people whom I'm sure can come up with some awesome things.
