Do any of your Shepards keep an item or object from their childhood that possess some sort of strong sentimental value? For example, a Spacer Shepard may keep a birthday gift received from Hannah, or a Colonist Shepard could keep a treasured possession of a childhood friend killed during the raid on Mindoir.
I like to think that my Shepard, a Spacer, is still in possession of the first piece of jewellery she ever received, a small bracelet that was gifted to her by her father as a little girl. It's also a poignant reminder of how their relationship has cooled since then, and the emotional distance that now exists between Kate and her father.

Jih's earthborn so no.
Lucy is a colonist and given her personality I would have to say it was whatever weapon she grabbed on the day of the raid.
Andromeda has a stuffed animal from childhood.
Of the three only Andromeda's would remain after her death/rebirth because she's the only one who had a place to keep it other than the Normandy.

My colonist would have kept a pistol she picked up while fighting back on Mindoir. It's outdated, but carries sentimental value.
My canon Shep has this as well as a knife she looted from a dead marine on Mindoir as well. She also refuses to grow her hair past a certain length. It serves to remind her of everything she lost that day.

Meghan has nothing from her childhood. And even her scars were erased by her reconstruction. However... she once got a Semper Fi tattoo to the right of the small of her back. Her fiance got a RCMP tattoo on his left side (he'd been born in London). They joked they were throwbacks. Then Akuze happened. She's glad Miranda at least got to restore the tattoo.
Avery has a locket her mother gave her when she was small, before the batarians came. It was lost when she died. I haven't decided who has it now.

kyrie has no special object. most things from mindoir burned. she had a shirt of her brother's for a while, but it wore out. she didn't bring much on duty and everything on the normany 1 burned. she truly is empty-handed almost all the time. she has no tattoos or anything like that, either. it's actually become something of a mark of her personality, i think - just her, alone.

@ sage. I'm still clinging to my LotSB DLC is the lead up to VS DLC theory. Liara can get a tip off to their location/mission as the Shadow Broker and she can also clear up the whole, "No. Shepard really was dead issue." And they said there would be more DLC.
that would be nice *sighs wistfully*
though truly, i have loved ALL the DLC missions so far. i bought them all and am a total ME DLC junkie. even zaeed, which imo was the weakest, was awesome.
edit: awesome DLC needs pic reference

Jennifer has a necklace she got from her mother at her sixteenth birthday. It broke when she was buried at the artillery strike in mindoir so she can't wear it on her neck, but she never go anywhere without it. It's also one thing no one knows about. Not even Liara and that's something. She doesn't know how Miranda or someone from cerberus knew it's value to her since she found it again from her cabin in the new Normandy.LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...

Amy has picture of her best friend who died just before she joined military back in earth. It was stored on her omni-tool and it was transfered her new one by Lazarus project team. Her friends death and how it happen was the reason Amy joined military and why she's so paragon it hurts my eyes.
Lise doesn't care much about anything enough to form sentimental bonds on objects. She's still bit surprised about Liara managing to get past her mental guards.

Well... My Jane was born on Earth. She never knew her parents. The only thing she had was a locket with two letters 'JS' on it.
When she became a Spectre she met a strange person on the Citadel who said that he knew her parents. Her father's name was John Shepard and he was a respected admiral in the Alliance space troops. During the First Contact War, he proved himself a hero. Her mother Jennifer Shepard was a doctor on her father's dreadnought "Silver Arrow". She died when Jane was born.
And this locket was her mother's gift to her.

oh, edit: i should add, large chunks of the dialog in that new chapter were inspired by discussions on this thread.
i also am thinking now that kyrie has some rather renegadish decisions remaining in the final part of the game. i'm sort of asking her "no, wait, really?" and she's saying "really." so...we'll see.

but she really is sweet at heart. sorta.

Oh thank you! It's a pretty interesting and tragic story. If I ever work up the courage to write fic again, 'Lantha's time on Mindoir is the first thing I'm going to write about.

I swear to god if Joker becomes an LI in ME3, then screw Garrus. Playing through ME2 again without an LI.

Both the Garrus and Thane romances are my favorite. It really depends on what you prefer. Thane's romance is more emotional and deep, while Garrus is a bit more sweet and awkward.
When ME3 comes out, you better believe Holly is the first one into the fray. Her story is the most important to me. I'm thinking after her, Moira as I want to see the Renegade end of things.

The reason I made multiple FemSheps was because I wanted to experience all the game had to offer. For a long time, though, there was only Holly. It's always strange at first when I start a new FemShep, but they really grow on me once I've gotten further into the game.
I believe MacKenzie is my last, as I now have a FemShep of every class. I need to nail down the 'canon' playthroughs for some of my Sheps, though. I also want to make some good screenshot albums of each, lots more videos, etc. I'll be busy for quite some time.

I have 4, but it's actually just one FemShep and one MaleShep, with different hairstyles to tell the difference.
Paragon/Renegade versions you see.
Although I consider the one above to be my "canon" Shepard.

Nope! I have the exact same problem. The one time I tried I got about ten minutes into Eden Prime and couldn't handle it. My fiancé gave me a hard time about it. He made a comment like, "Oh hey, you're playing someone else! I didn't know that was possible!" and then he walked by ten minutes later and saw that I had reloaded an old save and said, "Oh. Guess it's not possible if you couldn't even finish Eden Prime."
I just ribbed him for cheating on Ash. That got him to shut his face.

Like you, I can't just try on a new face for Shepard. It feels weird having Hale's voice come out of a character that isn't my Cam.

Corinne also carried a bracelet once, but it has different significance for her. In Corinne's case it is a crudely hand made bracelet made out of purple and brown thread with some gaudy, sparkly orange beads woven in there for good measure. It is an incredibly ugly bracelet, but Corinne always either has it on her wrist or somewhere else on her person. Her older sister had made it for her when she was a kid and said it was a "good lucky charm". At the time, Corinne had been getting into fights at school, and her sister claimed the bracelet would allow her to "sense" when Corinne was in danger so she could come help her. Unfortunately, the fact that she always kept it close did not work out in her favor and it was mostly destroyed when she was falling through atmo after the original Normandy was destroyed. However, one of the beads had been salvaged, and while it is now a mostly blackened, melted mess, Corinne had it made into a necklace pendant and wears it to this day.

Yeah, I felt this way for a long time. Even now, it feels somewhat strange to see Jennifer Hale's voice emerge from the mouth of my secondary Shepard, as I'm so accustomed to it being used by my canon. It doesn't feel as unusual as it used to, though.

I really only have 2 different designs I use for my Shepards.
I’ve done screenshots for several people that play on the xbox and can’t make their own and for those Shep’s that don’t resemble my main two Shepards it always feels a bit strange to hear Hale’s voice coming out of those toons.

Hmmmm....that's a tough one.
I guess Cam's got several mementos from Mindoir/childhood.
Her shotgun, 'Lucky' was destroyed during the Normandy's destruction, as well as a small data pad filled with old recipies for meals her mother used to make. She's tried to recover them, but she couldn't only salvage only so many files.
The irony is she's not much of a cooker, ans most things she tries to make end up on fire or unedbile. but she still has them around, if only to remind her of her family.
Her assault rifle now carries the monkier of 'Lucky II', as it's gotten her out of many a tight spot when her biotics were on the cooldown.
