Playing Renegade is a lot easier when you're not just taking every single renegade option, IMO. Renegade doesn't have to mean chaotic stupid or anything xD My canon is a paragon, but she does have renegade points.

Adele was thinking that this wasn't her day, but then she Shepard Punched Saren and avoided being Mufasa'd.

Here's an interesting question I'd like to ask.

Do any of your Shepards keep an item or object from their childhood that possess some sort of strong sentimental value? For example, a Spacer Shepard may keep a birthday gift received from Hannah, or a Colonist Shepard could keep a treasured possession of a childhood friend killed during the raid on Mindoir.

UJ had a quilt that was in her mother's family for generations, one of those "add to it as it goes along" things, but it was destroyed in the SR1.  She has nothing else tangible from her childhood, but  she does have a fondness for art as her first girlfriend on Mindoir was an artist. In the Kasumi she looked at all the painitngs.

i admire the multi-shep players. i try new faces on her and jen hale's voice comes out and i just feel strange. am i the only boring person who has just 1 shep?

I think the main reason I'm fine with having 3 different FemSheps with Jen Hale's voice is because I'm so used to hearing Jen Hale on television. I'm sort of a cartoon junkie, and I love recognizing voice actors across different shows. Just the other day, I noticed her voicing Poison Ivy on a Batman episode (amusing, because while playing Batman: Arkham Asylum, I realized Oracle was being played by Ashley's voice actress... Mass Effect + Batman rocks my socks).

So since I'm used to her voice bringing life to many different characters (even though it sounds VERY different sometms, because she's an amazing actress), I think that helps. It does take a little getting used to after playing the game all the way through with a specific Shep face, though.

@ yuki: that's how i got started on the kaidan-mance, too - just tried it because it was there and then ended up tailoring a shep to it. and turns out she was my favorite.

Its weird, but I've never really been disconcerted by Hale's voice coming out of anyone else. What is hard for me though is making a Renegade character. Each time I try and start one, I just cannot bring myself to actually be a renegade.

me, too. maybe it's because the shep i had in my head for kaidan has just always stayed to the paragon end of things. i think of her as lawful neutral to lawful good though, not a true, full, compassionate-to-everyone neutral good. she's got an edge.

I've played both and have a canon for each, but Renegade femShep is by far my favorite. She amuses me.

I tried playing a pure renegade once just for the heck of it and as yukidama mentioned, it came off as chaotic stupid, and much more erratic than pure paragon.  So when I created Erica, I set up some ground rules for her that she demanded discipline from her crew, but she valued loyalty and friendship.  I then gave her a soft spot for Tali and Liara and made her play favorites among the ME2 crew.  She hated Jack, because Jack was undisciplined even though she understood why she was the way she was and helped her on her mission.  A good example of the way I played her was w/ Veetor.  Erica was kind of rude to him during her initial questioning, but let him go w/ Tali.  My biggest problem w/ Erica was that she would have dropkicked Miranda the first time she met her.

On an interesting side note, Erica almost never drank or felt like she needed to drink.  (The only exception was after Overlord). UJ, a Paragde, drank almost constantly, especially after emotionally harrowing missions.

:lol::lol::lol:

I think I could just about stomach playing a Renegon Shepard, one who selects the Paragon choices in the major decisions, yet is very Renegade and ruthless elsewhere, but that's about the limit of my capabilities and what I find tolerable!

I do think that some of Renegade FemShep's lines are very amusing, though.

Jih actually is more along the lines of renegon than pure renegade. Although right now I'm despairing of my current ME1 playthrough. The bars are currently even.  :(

Wow, this thread really exploded in the last 12 hours or so!

Re: VS Survivor
Yes, I desperately want VS DLC or a satisfying ending to their love story.  (I have 5 loyal FemSheps, and all 9 of them romanced Kaidan in ME1.)  It will really damage the entire trilogy for me if there isn't one.  I'm clinging to hope, though... I feel like we've heard enough dev hints that the VS isn't forgotten.  I won't let myself get pessimistic about it, not yet.

Re: Multiple Shepards
I have tons of FemSheps... 9, currently.  That's probably where I'll stop.  It's far weirder to me to replay one of them and change up their appearance or decisions than it is to hear Hale's voice coming out of different toons.  Their first run is almost always their canon run, because I just can't imagine switching things up.

Re: Personal Possessions
I imagine most of them aren't very sentimental when it comes to material possessions, but:

Sadie:  A photograph with her family on Mindoir.  It's the only surviving picture she could find: their family photo from the church directory.  She was 10, her brother Tony was 8, and her brother Brian was 2.

Kate: Her engagement ring from Danny, her fiance who died on Akuze.  She wore it around her neck with her dogtags.

Those are the only 2 I've actually thought about at any length.  And now a picture of Kate:

She's definitely likes calibrating guns more than deciphering Thane's poetic like sentences. ;)

pic snipping ^ heh, then personality-wise....

I
dunno. i feel like if the LI doesn't just jump out and grab you, stay
single. this is why i had no romanced toon for DA:O and all incarnations
of kyrie romanced kaidan. :D

I agree with Sage.  I've
never been able to bypass Kaidan's romance in ME1 and all my Shep's
stayed faithful.  I made a fresh ME2 game so that I could romance one of
the LIs but found myself not interested in any of the romances and that
Shep going into ME3 single.

Same. I can't resist Kaidan.
The only way I could have a single Shep was to create a new one in ME2
just in case Joker is available in ME3. It will probably still be hard
to separate my feelings when both of them are on the Normandy.

You know, it's easy when playing with male Shep. But with femShep... I dunno. It feels like this: "Keep your ****** hands of my girl!". And the fact that I feel nothing (attraction wise) towards other males, so it's a damn easy to resist.

I'm just going to watch this Garrus thing and then revert back to single, I keep the non-li save game around.

By they way, Tiia&Joker, wouldn't that be a sweet match? B)

Same problem here. I have the same problem in KOTOR. Some of those dark side responses are just, really, really nasty.

My first Shep got the confrontation scene between Liara and Kaidan. I chose Kaidan but then felt bad and made a Shepard for Liara because I liked her. Then, in ME2 first Shep dumped Kaidan for Garrus. I felt bad about that too and made another Shepard for Kaidan. Now I am replaying my first Shepard with no ME1 romance so I don't have to feel ~guilty~ over going for Garrus and because it wasn't right for her character. I went round and round but I think I'm done now xD

I haven't really felt any inclination to romance the ME2 exclusive characters, though I do really like them. I had a Shepard that went for Jacob and dumped him for Thane, but she got deleted right after she dumped Jacob.

These two are definitely my favorite LI though:

Kaidan ranks #2.5, since I pretty much like him as much as Liara but a small fraction less. I should really finish this run so I can get some caps of Devon with Kaidan :)

Gwynn is an awesome cook. She had to learn, since she's an adept and goes through food like nobody's business. This way, she could have decent, healthy home cooked meals instead of eating her way through the future's equivalent of the frozen food aisle.

Kate likes to think she's a good cook, but her skills are mediocre at best. Once, she tried to cook a traditional asari dish for both her and Liara when the pair of them spent an evening together.

Suffice it to say, Liara was forced to bend the truth to a certain extent, and respectfully told Shepard that the meal was "unique" and "different". =]

....On multiple FemSheps.....

I've somewhat become used to hearing Hale's voice out of a Femshep other than my first.  Since Kathryn is Paragon, Shai's mostly neutral and Renegade lines as a Renegon give me a chance to explore a different side of Shepard and the game.  Whenever I hear FemShep speak in a video, I first think of Kathryn since I'm so used to her.  I think I'm just going to stick with Shai and Kathryn.  They are the only Shepards I have grown attached to and I'm having a hard enough time, actually making time to play the games with them and work on creative things.

....On FemShep the Cook.......

Kathryn can cook decently but only because she needed to learn to feed herself.  I have imagined Kathryn visiting Liara at the SB base and cooking her a meal. *is a dork*
As for Shai, the microwave is her friend.  :D

UJ's a vangard, so she had to eat a bit more than most.  She learned to cook from her Mom, so she's not a 5 star chef or anything, but she gets by pretty well.

This got me to thinking about other traits.  UJ is a neat freak, being a Marine and all, and after LotSB and seeing Liara's apartment, well, things could be problematic.

So are there any traits, habits, or atributes that would lead to conflict w/in your femShep and her LI's relationship?
