Mine is a really great cook and loves doing it, especially for others (like Liara).  Though, she does have the unfortunatel tendency to make stuff really spicey.

As everyone seem to do this...

@cooking: My femShep seem to know about it enough to satisfy her needs as a biotic, then again she visits mess rather than doing something by herself, lazy ass.

360Kallen- terrible cook cuz she was a earth born and robbed fast food places with the reds
PCKallen- outstanding. She learned as a little girl aboard [insert alliance ship name] by hanging around the ships cook and she cooks for Miranda sometimes on date night.
Angela- she'd be okay with practie time, but she lets gardner do most of the cooking
Kat- she learned to cook after mindoir since she was alone and stayed in an apartment on eden prime sponsored by the alliance unitl she enlisted so she had to feed herself so she's pretty damn good at it.
Mihka- she rejects the sterotype that women have to learn to cook so she's got zero skill
Novae Rog- this woman made garnder step down because she could and did do a better job at cooking than he did. He's just the ships Janitor now, poor guy Image IPB

Nope.  I figured that was one thing my Sheps were allowed to fail at.

That and dancing.  :D

Most of my Sheps are bad cooks... because I'm a bad cook IRL, so I can relate.  Tess is the only one who really tries, and she's a *decent* cook.

Dude, you need to write more fanfic.

Regarding the multiple Shepards.

I only had one for ages, but then I decided to resurrect an earlier Shepard, remade her face and background and changed her from a full on paragon to a Renegon.

My main Shepard is a paragade so the difference in dialogue choices meant that I heard different responses in most situations which helped to keep them as seperate characters.

I do have a manshep on the 360 that was imported from my very first ME1 playthrough for an insanity run in ME2, but I've never used him other than that. So used to Shepard being female it feels odd playing as manshep

Mementoes.

Hrist: Nothing pyhsical. She does have a permenant reminder of her time growing up on earth though. The weak biotic power she developed from exposure to a small dose of eezo when exploring an old refinery when she was very young.

Lenneth: Nothing! She's a hardass and doesn't go for all this sentimental crap!

All these femShep cooking answers and the reasons behind them are very interesting. I was just wondering if anyone though she could because every fanfic I've read from Polaris' Special Effects to Sin Vraal's Domus, Shep is a bad cook.

Do any of your Shepards keep an item or object from their childhood that possess some sort of strong sentimental value? For example, a Spacer Shepard may keep a birthday gift received from Hannah, or a Colonist Shepard could keep a treasured possession of a childhood friend killed during the raid on Mindoir.

My canon Madeline has only a few surviving possesions from her youth.

She had the engagment ring that her Father gave to her Mother.  It originally had been given to her Great Great Grandmother Scarlett Paige MacRay (1991 - 2089) upon her engagement to Christopher Michael Shepard (1987 - 2084) in 2023. It was passed to their only son William Aurthur Shepard (2026 - 2131) to give to his bride to be, Ione Evelynn McGilvery (2029 - 2149) in 2150 who passed it to their youngest of three sons, Ewen Ross Shepard (2061 - 2168) for his fiance Eliza Abigale Brooks (2070 - 2165) in 2096.  Eliza passed the ring to her youngest son Anthony Francis Shepard (2107 - 2170) to give to his young bride to be Hannah Rose Trasiatti (2113 - 2170) in 2132. The ring was supposed to be passed to Madeline's oldest brother Wesley, but he was killed in action during "First Contact" in 2157 at the age of 20. Her middle brother Morgan did not share the same sentimental attachment to the tradition, so Hannah promised to pass the ring to her when she found her "special someone". Maddy saved it from the house after the raid on Mindor and wore it on a chain around her neck ever since. It was thought lost in Madeline's death, but in reality the chain had failed during the confusion of the collector attack and Madeline was not aware. Kaidan found it laying on the deck plates during the evacuation and pocketed it to give to her after their rescue.

She has a photo that she values greatly. It is a photo of her at age 3 and her father Tony taken in 2157.  It has special meaning as it is the only surviving photo of the two of them together.

Image IPB

She also has 2 antique pistols. The first is a Model 1873 Colt SAA revolver. Her Grandfather was a collector and a gunsmith/restorer. He restored this example for Madeline in 2164. To Maddy it's more of a "trade mark"...the old faithful hand gun that her grandfather gave her, she feels it connects her to him, her family and her past. The Colt SAA (Single Action Army) were originally designed for the U.S. Army in 1873 and saw legendary use and success in the "old west" with both lawmen and outlaws alike. It was given to her for her 14th birthday (her father was to hold on to it until she was old enough). She used it on Mindor and still carries it in a "concealed" holster at the small of her back "just in case" as she puts it. It's a "cattleman" model (built in 1881) chambered for .45 "Long Colt" rounds with a 5.5" barrel, Blue finish barrel and cylinder, case hardened frame and has a maple "birds head" grip. She is also a very quick shot with it :).  Most heckle her for using it saying "how can you fight with that thing, you can only get one shot off at a time?"...to which she responds "I only need one shot..(cocky little half smile)"

The other is the is the Model 1911 Colt Automatic her Great Great (6-Generations removed) Grandfather carried as a 82nd Airborne "Ranger" during World War II from 1943 to 1945. He was involved in the D-Day invaision in 1944 in the Historic "Battle of Normandy". He had parachuted in at night and came in to fast, getting himself caught in a tree. He had to cut himself free, but broke his leg in the fall. He was stranded in the country side in enemy territory alone for five days before he came across others from his unit. That pistol was the only weapon he had...it saved his life several times.

Both pistols and the hard case they were stored in managed to survive the destruction of the Normandy and were recovered amidst some of the debris by the frigate SSV Antietam 3 weeks later, while she was passing through the quadrent.

Meghan just never learned. She's Earthborn, after all.

Avery learned, she's just dreadfully out of practice. And it's not like riding a bike. You don't just remember HOW to do it. So, now, she burns water.

I spend a day sleeping since I was not feeling that great (and I hate sleeping, so it did not help, xD) and there are six pages of catching up?! Something fun to read

In any event, I actually prefer renegade to paragon for the most part. There are simply so many amusing options and a fair variety of characters I have created elsewhere share similar tendencies. I do not play a pure renegade however, since some choices simply appear illogical, specifically being a complete jerk to your crew. Therefore, I establish my own set of rules and evolve that Femshep as the game progresses.

In the case of Alexis, she is known for ruthless efficiency, steadfast to the ends justify the means philosophy, and that diplomacy is usually a waste of time when a barrel of a gun is always the most compelling argument. She is also an opportunist willing and able to exploit a situation if given the choice. These tendencies derive from a background where the weak suffered and the strong achieved prominence. The scars of Mindoir haunt her and memories of that travesty lead to momentary outbursts. Despite these characteristics, she genuinely wants to “do the right thing” and believes her methods are for the better. In reality, her exterior is a front for a relatively lonely woman who has difficulty allowing people to become close. She may never admit it, but Garrus, Tali and Liara’s return were a comfort. Wrex alone changed her views, being the first she relented in killing when threatened and instead even sympathized with. Although, she does demand they “settle who would win.”

Little summary, and did not intend to make a paragraph of it actually. I just went on a roll. I do love my complex characters. :D

I try to RP that some of my Sheps are good dancers but her horrible, horrible bobbing (in ME2 especially) makes it hard.  Sadie definitely can't dance at all... the bobbing is sadly accurate in her case.  Tess *should* be able to, since she did ballet and gymnastics growing up.  Kate is an excellent pole dancer... a talent which has only been rarely useful in the past.  I have no idea why I imagine her being good at that; I just do.

Here's an interesting question I'd like to ask.

I like to think that my Shepard, a Spacer, is still in possession of the first piece of jewellery she ever received, a small bracelet that was gifted to her by her father as a little girl. It's also a poignant reminder of how their relationship has cooled since then, and the emotional distance that now exists between Kate and her father.

Jane has an old dagger, she alwayswore it, even when she died it was strapped to her arm. She found it at the Normandy crash site and still wears it.
Jen has a necklace with an old key (the one that unlocks the box they burried beneath an apple tree for emegancies, in her story) she also has a picture of her family together in a locket she wears on the same chain as the key.
Grace has her mother's sniper, her father's pistol and Lilly's omni-tool.
Brianna kept a biotic amp Salla gave her for her b-day and her parents' first dog tags. As well she also has a a shotgun she keeps on display in her cabin.

Jane, no. Jen, yes. Grace, sorta, but she leaves it to others because that what happened right before her parents were killed. Brianna, of course, her mother showed her how to plus she took cooking classes.

Edit: Sorry, double post.
