Im still reading the book, havent seen the Anderson postion mention yet. But I dont know how long after ME2 that it takes place. I do know Udina was the assistant to Anderson. Maybe he left Udina there to manage stuff while going off to save the day again, for old time's sake.

Wishful think girls and boys who like to play games as girls... they have established that "John" Shepard, who is a soldier, is the poster for the series. They may refrain from showing that in the books but when it comes to the games he is still the default/cannon even if you don't like it. In the movies, if it is about Shepard, the lead character is going to be a male Shepard who is a soldier.

Yea, "Sheploo" is the marketing tool but not "canon" in any sense any more then Jane Shepard is.

On all the art outside of the game it is Sheploo.  I'm not saying your Shepard is any less of Shepard than Sheploo.  I'm stating that the "official" Shepard is Sheploo.  We may not like it... well you may not (I play Sheploo)... but it is still fact.

@nocturne98 -- I usually had "themed" groups in ME1 because I could never remember who had what powers so I just brought people along for their company. Sometimes it'd be all-girl (Liara and Tali -- I really liked that combo) or aliens (Garrus and Wrex). The first time I romanced Kaidan I had him in my group non-stop, but I could see that there wasn't really any major dialogue with him on missions -- just comments here and there so I felt free to just rotate through my crew instead. I did take Kaidan with me on my final battle so I could see that big dumb grin as Shepard was miraculously alive!

For ME2, I had Jack and Miranda in my group a few times and didn't like that combo. I am just straight-up tired of their snarling and went renegade on them to break up their catfight. When they started to squabble again in the suicide mission about who would be the fire team leader, I ALMOST made Jack be the leader just to irritate the both of them, but I went with Garrus instead. I later learned via spoilers that I could have lost someone on my team if I had chosen Jack. Man, I would have been pissssssed at those two big time. =p

Took a lot of soldiers through ME1 - uncharted worlds reward a good sniper with a huge TV - so it was a lot of Tali (open that crate!) and Liara (lift that geth!). Angels...In...Spaaaaace! :D

Now that all Shepards can hack, there's a lot more variety, but Garrus, Grunt, and Miranda all feature strongly. I tend to be mostly done the N7s by the time I get the second set, so Tali gets less use than I'd usually like, though she also shares primarily skills with Legion who has great combat chatter and (IMO) a pleasing voice so it's kind of a double-whammy on that regard.

For those with an all-female squad, who do you usually take with you in ME1 and ME2? If your squad isn't all females, feel free to answer as well.

In ME1, I usually stick with Liara and Garrus, although in my next playthrough I'll be taking Tali and Wrex (this is having gotten all the ally achievements already).

In ME2, I switch things up a lot more, but generally my team is Garrus/Grunt, Thane/Grunt, or Thane/Samara. I try to work Zaeed into the roster when I can as well.

EDIT: Ryn, barring color scheme, that's my Shep's N7 armor set too.

Those are the N7 Shoulder Guards, right?

3+

ME1 I usually take Tali and Liara if I'm doing my Charlies Angles.  I used to take Kaidan and either Tali or Liara all the time.  This time around I've done two "Balanced" plays.  I've got Garrus and Wrex with me right now.    I just don't use Ash that much.

In ME2 I'm all over the board.  I don't really have 2 that I take all the time.  Seems like each mission I take someone else.   Moridin, Jack, Tali and Garrus show up in my groups a lot, but I really take them all at one time or another.

For my Vanguard femsehp in ME1 i switched it up alot, but I was partial to the pairing of Tali and Wrex. especially on feros, Tali would Damp shiala's clones and I'd deliver a shot gun blast to the face!

Sheploo is default, he is not canon or offical. Bioware needed a default Shepard for advertising, thus that's what Sheploo is. There is no canon and only a fool would believe that, are you such a fool?

The movie will most likely be quite unbearable, in that case...

It could possibly redeem itself if it starred a Female Shepard, however. :P

Geena Davis as Shep...just might bloody work!

Come now, there is only one real option if we're going for the big names.

In ME1, I go with Liara and Ash mostly. I usually play a tech type (Sentinel/Infiltrator), so I don't need to worry about taking someone that can open crates. Liara/Wrex is a good combo, too.

In ME2...I use Jack alot (just b/c I like her)...I usually mix up the other person...Miranda is useful, so I use her a lot.

You are living in denial.  Sheploo is the face of the game.  You may not like it... but it is true.  That is the developers "idea" of Shepard.  The movie will have a cannon default male soldier Shepard who has the first name John.

FYI: I don't hate femshep.  I play both manshep and femshep... but the devs want to put out an idea of who Shepard is.  That is Sheploo.

How am I living in denial? Bioware has alreayd said there is no canon Shepard, if there was, he would have been mentioned in the books or even in the comics. Nothing is, the face is used for advertising, we get you, you hate femshep but don't come here spouting BS.

A funny take on the whole movie debate.

About who would play FemShep: Kristanna is hot, but I think Jodie would do a better job.
