I suspect Bioware intentionally made Shepard a bad dancer. I mean, some of the background NPCs have some epic moves so it's not like they didn't have the animations available.

Well how funny is it that the 'Savior of the Citadel' and the first human Spectre can't dance to save her life?  Just a bit of humor on Bioware's part, I assume.

Perhaps the better coders/hackers among us can edit a file to give the techno-turian's dance moves to both Sheps.

Yeah, I'm very much a "run up and shoot/hit" gamer. I get really nervous too, so even while I was using a sniper rifle as a soldier, it was comforting to be able to switch to an assault rifle or something and just plow through with sheer force. Playing Infiltrator is mostly to make me think about what I am doing, haha. Even though I've just been staring at the game like this:

Also, if you give techno turian's moves to Shep, the universe would explode from the sheer awesome. It's better this way.

I'm definitely a sneak around and snipe from long distance type. Ah, the Geth UNC missions....

Actually, that comic someone made of simply letting Blasto mow down the Reaper's armies is also appealing. It's on page 25-28 or so of the "funny comics" thread.

My style is an odd mix of versatility. With games like Halo, I use to play decoy or stealth. The former often led to wild run 'n' gun to distract people but with a shotgun. It works well if you play your cards yet. ME2 is bringing back my sniper groove. Surprisingly, despite what some of my yelling may insinuation. I am rather clam gaming. Twenty years will instill some horrid patience into you eventually, xD

The vanguard class was pretty much made for me, especially in ME2. Ever since I started playing video games, my dad's called my type of playing "the martyr," as I tend to just run into any situation with my guns blazing. :) The introduction of charge made me very, very happy.

Heh, yeah. I only picked up my first video game in late 2006. It was Kingdom Hearts and I was unable to beat it without my brother's help. Mass Effect was my first shooter-style game so the fact that I have been able to beat both games more than once is actually a testament to... something. I dunno. That I was pathetically awful and am now marginally less so? Haha. I still need to shake my "That One Idiot Who Runs Across A Battlefield With Their Eyes Closed Guns Blazing, Screaming and Crying and Hoping Something Hits" title, lmao. This is why I don't ever play multiplayer.

Stealth and sniper classes are my favorite. When I first played ME, Infiltrator just seemed like the logical choice to me.. then in ME2 they made it even more awesome. Holly is a patient and calculating woman. I can imagine her ghosting in and out of combat, appearing and disappearing...killing her enemies before they even know she's there.

I love stealth-based games. Splinter Cell, Tenchu, Metal Gear Solid, Thief, etc.

@yuki

You ought to at some point, provided you group with a good bunch of people. I have had some hilarious game nights where the whole lot of us were screwing around. Just need practice and probably knock off the nerves, xD.

I never play many stealth games. I use to play FPSs, yet moved away from them for a while after a maddening addiction to Halo 2. I mostly stick to JRPG collection of old retro games because damnit, they are better than most released today. I only got pulled into Bioware because of Jade Empire and eventually Mass Effect. I am far behind in how many files I should have in this series. Mass Effect is almost dethroning FFX in one year. Six files (ME) to nine (FFX). ME2 is way behind :(

... and I doubt any game can trump my champion Lunar (24 files) but the ME series is trying!

Actually, I tend to play turn-based strategy games more. Lots of time to plot my next move. Mass Effect's suspended my Civ4 addiction for the moment.

Okay, I did play X-Com Apocalypse's "real-time" mode, but that had a pause button.

Does anyone know how to embed YouTube videos here? I know it works, just not how exactly.

I'm wondering if anyone here knows about any games that promoted the Female Player Character as much as the Male PC.

Oh look at all these FemSheps.

Edit: Nevermind. That didn't work.

(Tried to post the link to the Indiana Jones Renegade Interrupt. Some forums have a plug-in that automatically embeds youtube links. This one... doesn't.

One more try. Okay, going into "BBCode" mode and pasting the embed link from YouTube appears to work.

Except it vanishes when you try to edit the comment. Trying again...

Hope it stays this time...

When Shep tells Garrus that she wants to do some "sparring" with him.

EDIT: Damn, just realized I have to retake every picture when I upgrade my GPU. My current one doesn't quite have the power to do 1080p smoothly with AA + 16xAF so I have to sacrifice AA (I have some setting over the maximum; shadows and LOD). Yeah, I am perfectionist.

Okay, some tank-born are also okay, if a bit aggressive.

Still young and naive, though.

Since I have a weird sense of humor, I pick this as Kyrie's "heroic" ME3 pose:

Image IPB

"Riiiiight. Save the Earth from a whole bunch of Reapers or everybody dies. No pressure."

"Remember when you blew up a sun?" "Wrong series."

Heroic ME3 poses? I like the idea of my Shepard standing alongside Liara, holding hands as they study the Earth from the observation room of their ship, which is currently in orbit around the stricken planet. Preparing for the climatic final battle with the galaxy's races alongside them, the pair of them prepare to face the Reapers together, defiant in their dedication to eliminating them once and for all.

I just read some of your fan fiction.  Wow!  Great stuff.  I feel like I need to take a cold shower after reading 'No Meditation Necessary'.

I could totally see that kind of thing happening with Moira.

:D

I read your fanfiction too. I love it! The ones with Garrus and Calla in them, wow.
I think I could see Lili do some of that, all of it in 'No Meditation Necassary'. She's a renegade, but loves her Turian!Image IPB

I think it's when femshep discusses reach and flexability w/ Garrus.

While I don't think I have any screenshots of Cam in a heroic pose, I just sort of imagine her, Miri, Garrus, and Kasumi, as well as the rest of the Dirty Dozen, overlooking a destroyed New York. Grim determination on all of thier faces, the biotics are flaring, the techies have their omni-tool lit up and the pure combat classes have thier preferred weapon out with a favorite ammo power on.

....Guh....someone needs to draw this for me....while I can write, I can't draw to save my life.

ANYWAY: I think the other topic was video games and how you play them? Either it's a melee class (like a martial arts hand to hand) or it's magic (which is why I like the Adept so much.) I can't really do ranged classes, as I'd rather get up in the enemies face or set them afire with a snap of the fingers....or create a miniature black hole....which ever my character feels like doing at the time. :)
