It's not that she's not sexy in armor, It's just that the clunkier armor makes her look too unfeminine. I like the armor that shows off fer features.

Khristina usually use different legs, but she don't have them at the moment =\\

@Chig - First time I saw Noah in her N7 armor in an ME2 screen shot I wanted it for Kate, I just had no idea how to put it on her till Sage wrote up her tutorial on it. Posted Image

@Sia - Posters for Meg and Avery will coming your way at some point over the next few days provided that real life doesn't interfere.

@Dengarde - I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on the armor  issue. Posted Image

I use the new armor for Liz and I still think she looks attractive and feminine. But I also like the fact that she also looks like she could take care of business, after all she is supposed to be the biggest bad ass in the galaxy.

Miranda, Jack and Samara running around in their "sexy" outfits in combat to me just seem utterly ridiculous.

That I agree with. At least with Shepard, her in armor, no matter how it looks, actually looks like a soldier. And her casual outfits also gives her a "don't mess with me" vibe.

Miranda has an outfit so tight it ives her a wedgie.

Jack goes around topless.

Samara also was the wedgie AND flaunts her 800 year old clevage.

If I had just met them I would pretty much mistake them for ****s, wearing those outfits. They'd never be of much use in a fight anyways.

I prefer the armor in ME1. Shep's ME2 armor is a bit bulky and looks like it would be awkward for running around and fighting. As for the squadmates, say what you will about the Alliance, they did give their soldiers something a little more practical than Cerberus-issued catsuits.

Just a sidenote: Judging by the way most people spelled armor, I'm guessing this thread is mostly Americans? Chignon was the only one who wrote armour with a 'u'.

I'm currently playing through ME1. Words cannot describe the extent of which I miss FemShep's unique animations, and how exasperated I am that they were removed in ME2.

The manwalk is just plain awful. : (

Exactly how I felt when I went back to ME1 after ME2. It's unfortunate.

From a combat pov, wouldn't the shoulder armour be in the way? I miss the ME1 armour.
And like so many others have stated here, I hate the ridiculous excuse of "armour" that Jack, Miranda and Samara wear. And the fact that they don't even have proper masks when they're out in space/area with no gravity. Seriously, it's ridiculous, and it's practically one of the reasons why I never bring them on missions.

Not to mention Shepard's droopy head in ME2. Gives me neck pains just watching her.

I prefer the new armour over the old ME1 stuff, but only just. I always thought the neck line was too high in ME1, especially when wearing light armour. They make Shepard look like she has a neck like a giraffe!

That being said some of the new pieces are a bit too big and chunky. Mainly the chest pieces and the shoulders. It would have been nice to have more pieces to choose from, but there's enough decent looking pieces to make a good looking set of armour.

I do agree that having people running about the battle field in a jump suit, or leather straps in Jack's case looks utterly stupid, along with the breather masks.

*Joins the group of people who spell armour with a u.

Yeah, I want proper squad mates, not hookers with guns. I actually bought the appearance pack just to give Jack proper clothes. 0_o Still, those aren't good in space, though.

The shoulder pads are massive for female Shep and usually floating in the air. For example the Kestrel shoulder pads look absolutely crap from certain angles.

I've been trying and trying to get the old helmet to work but I can only get the old visor working but without helmet old. The old armor looks bad with new helmet.

I can relate, Les. I had only just finished Mass Effect a month back and once I picked up Femshep's little black dress I wanted to cringe at the monkey walk. And let us not forget the 'glorious' shots that dress offers pretty much everyone on the ship standing next to something one can sit on. I love that attire but cannot bring myself to wear it sans breaking into a sad laugh.

The armor I generally prefer in ME2, although the lack of variety is disappointing. Once again it is readily apparent they were all crafted with Sheploo in mind. With the girls... well suffice it to say I have played enough JRPGs is my lifetime to become deaden to skimpy attire. I often overlook it completely because when you have played games like Dynasty Warriors. You have seen it all. The cup masks though drew my immediate ire. Here I have Garrus donning a regular helmet or Thane in his death mask and a quick glance over to Miranda and the first words out of my mouth were, "... really? That is what call a helmet? Alright..."

I could even let it pass with Samara on the whole Asari are different than humans and Justicar like to be stripperific however it still is a bit much. Granted, while the guys do not bear their midriffs; and with how the camera loves Jacob's abs. I am in genuine shock. It is not as though all of them are armored to go. Thane in particular is donning a jacket and regular clothes for the most part and Garrus is walking around with a hole in his suit. A pretty cool looking hole, but seriously, someone ought to fix that for the guy. DLC did help him... and gave Jack shades that she keeps on even during the romance. You know, because helmet kissing was not awkward enough.

I shall be a elated Femshep fan if all we get is Miranda's or some other female lead's animations. So long as they are female and not Sheploo's sloppy seconds.

Bah, that went on longer than I had thought. Rant over! Just my opinion, there's no need to go spreading it around. :P

Does Jacob wear a full helmet either, ever? To be honest, I don't really take him around a lot.

I don't really have that much issue with (most of) the ME2 armor pieces. I did mod in the ME1 style armor but I didn't keep it on my character. As for the other characters... I'm not too fond of calling them sl*tty or hookers. They could have at least given them helmets or even space catsuits without the boob panels. I'm looking at you too, Thane of the space trenchcoat and low-cut top xD Funny how the male aliens get full helmets but the women (and Jacob) have to show off their looks and their bodies at all times.

Oh well, I think this looks fine.

(Though looking at how slight Shepard is makes me laugh at that stupid post from yesterday about female Shepard looking doughy and fat with wide hips. Sigh.)

That's just stupid. The eyes will pop out of your head if you don't wear a proper helmet out in space. They must all have some kind of super power we were not aware of.

The default N7 pieces you're using here are the least bulky of the new ones in my opinion. I tend to use those if I'm using ME2 armor.

I saw that thread too and had to scratch my head. If anything femshep looks too skinny for who she is, looking at some of the casual wear. Her upper arms are like twigs.

It doesn't bother me though, since all females get pretty much the same body model. Except the squaddies--Miranda's figure especially is quite accentuated. It's very noticeable if you put Shep's head on Miranda's body.

Suspension of belief, I use it. Haha. I just make up a reason in my head, like they have some kind of advanced shielding to protect them from the elements or vacuum.

And Thane's outfit... well, I have no objections to that. Neither does Holly:

Yes. Future-space-magic is my go to explanation.

I figure it's a balancing act for them--between too much realism which could get boring, and complete artistic license which can come off totally ridiculous, like our current selection of painted on latex squad outfits. A nice middle ground would be nice. Unique outfits for the squaddies that at least look somewhat plausible (helmets in toxic environments?)

@ELE

It would be nice if they had an alternate outfit the squaddies switched into that's sealed with a helmet when they land in hostile environments. They could make them look just as cool as their regular clothes.

I dig Thane's mask that he wears. I have the Recon Hood, which is basically the same thing. Occasionally Moira wears it. I wish I could just make it be my default breather helmet, would go great on Holly also.

The words "space ninja" comes to mind whenever I see it, though.
