Nice! :) Too bad the screen ratio is squished to 4:3 though.

I'm still learning.  I'll keep this in mind next time. :P

No worries. It's still very well done nevertheless. <3

I am glad you created this. Fem Shepard definitely needs more highlights. I don't understand why BioWare doesn't show her to us before release. No one is stupid to no comprehend that we can pick a Shepard from either gender, and besides one of the things that they emphasize in ME is the customization option, so why not show her more?

BioWare needs to show her more for us and as a matter of respect to Hale. In one of the videos Mark Meer got the chance to talk about Shepard, but Hale didn't, and imo that is a bit disrespectful.

BW wants to brand their product w/ a specific icon.  It is very important in today’s ADD media world that a product has a very recognizable entity attached to it.  BW wants a prospective customer to be able to instantly recognize this icon and know that it is Mass Effect.  Companies have been doing this for generations and it is not likely to change.  Disney has Mickey Mouse, McDonalds has the golden arches and BW has Vanilla Ice.  It is a sad fact, but that’s just the way it works.  :P

I totally get using Sheploo for promotions/cover art, etc. Have zero problems with that. If I want more information about a product, I go to the website and see what else they have to offer. The description of Commander Shepard is pretty gender neutral so I wouldn't have known I could play as a female Shepard. (I picked up the game after reading comments from other female gamers on a message board -- wouldn't have gotten it otherwise.) And the lack of having Jane Shepard for avatars or wallpaper puzzles me. When a movie comes out, I go to their site and grab a wallpaper to whet my excitement. If Shrek was coming out, I'd want a Princess Fiona wallpaper. What's the harm in including a few Jane Shepard avatars or wallpapers or mobile wallpapers? She's not replacing Vanderloo as the face of the product -- this just allowing fans to share in the excitement of the game. When ME3 gets announced, I will definitely be adding my voice to the fray in asking for a Jane avatar or two! ;)

Because BW, god love 'em, are just like any other corporation. When it comes to marketing, they assume their customers are a bunch of morons. The branding has to not only be iconic, but also consistent. You put a Jane Shepard up somewhere and the next thing you know, so mouthbreather playing on his hexbox or his parent's PC will complain that he doesn't want to play "a girl's game."

Oddly enough, when I first heard of Mass Effect, I was turned off by it specifically because of Sheploo. I had no interest in playing a predetermined character, especially one that looked like Vanilla Ice. I bought the game only after I found out that the character could be customized. So that branding thing can also backfire as it did for me.

I would have never bought this game if I couldn't play as a female. I'm not saying I wouldn't rent it and play as the default at least once, but after that I would be done.

I certainly wouldn't be here nearly two years later investing so much of my time into surfing the BSN and chatting it up with other FemShep fans! : P

Yeah I get that, but there is a big difference between Mickey Mouse and Shepard lol. Disney characters are totally defined characters. On the other hand, there is not "a Shepard" but many character possibilities that ranges from personalities to physical characteristics. And don't get me wrong I don't mind them using Sheploo, but I wish we could see a few screenshots of fem. Shepard and at least a class video with her. Besides one of the class videos for ME1 used a fem Shepard, so why didn't they do the same for ME2?

Thanks. I think it's the eyeliner. I gave Philo a makeover when I did a NG+ with her not that long ago and fixed her chronic Pinnochio*nose. >XD;;;

Poor girl deserved some plastic surgery after almost 2 years.

Yeah. I don't do the biotics stuff. Brute force and heavy weapons FTW!
