Okay, instead of getting into some kind of heated discussion about you "assusing me" of things I'm just going to say that I like Rodriguez as an actress just fine, but it's still the pattern that I've seen Hollywood fall into. There's nothing wrong with it, but she does have a tendency to get typecast into that type of role with alarming regularity. Moving on.

Okay, after thinking about it for a minute or two I'd have to throw out Kate Beckensale as a first choice. Olivia Wilde as a second, especially because with TRON she's proven that she can do fight scenes pretty well (then again Ms. Wilde's fighting in that movie involved what is, in essence, a frisbee, so who knows). Keep in mind that I made those choices based off of my Shepard (Morgan), so your results may vary.

Hey, good opinion about your choices (but I don't like so much Wilde. Since TRON....). I don't want acusse you, OK. finally I want to say that Rodríguez's personality is amazing and if she make "unusual" roles by a woman is because people have already a stereotyped image (yes, again) what a woman is or can do it and how other women don't make these roles, then it is "unusual". All women aren't equals as the men aren't . However a man do the same and then yes is "normal". BAH!!

@Akari: Sorry, forgot to mention how much I liked your cover. I really like the emphasis on the N7/marine connection. Brings the concept of everyone fighting, rather than just one big strong hero.

Not long ago, I watched Serenity and from my point of view I really don't see Gina Torres as Shep.
I think that Green fits rather well, although each one has her/his own opinion.

IF Joker is cruelly denied her, and IF Big Ben is a romanceable squadmate in ME3, Kate will be all over that (lots of ifs, though).  She has proven time and again that she loves her marine types... Kaidan and Jacob can attest to that.

Yeah, casting Shepard depends a lot on what sort of Shepard one thinks should be in the movie.  Paragon?  Renegade? Very commanding and military?  A bit of a maverick?  The options abound...

Torres obviously works for my Shepard, but I can definitely see Sia's Stana Katic suggestion for a different sort of Shepard.  Or Michelle Yeoh would've been perfect for a very self-controlled Shepard about fifteen years ago, when she was closer to the canon age. 

Or there's Gellar or Glau for one of those pretty-little-Shepards who are disturbingly good at killing bad guys.  

And I should probably stop with the Firefly references, or I'm gonna suggest Fillion for m!Shepard just for the laughs, even though I'm in completely the wrong thread for that.

OK, to cast TSP, Jilly:  Gina Torres as Ella, Katee Sackhoff (or Gellar) as Meghan, and I have no clue who would play Alexis.

But yes, Stana Katic would make a perfect Avery.

My girlfriend and I have been working on a collaborative fic with two of our Shepards - her male Shepard and my femShep - and it's come down to two people who I think would make excellent Shepards (both male and female) all around, even if she wasn't actually in tune with my Shepard, Vanessa. 

She's a Spacer/Ruthless Renegade (to offset his Colonist/War Hero Paragon self), and in my mind, she'd be played by Erica Durance.

I love casting Shepards. It's brilliant fun.

Yeah, you have just said: each one imagine her/his Shepard's choices according her/his own experiences, so all of them not always share the opinions each other.

Can't really think of one for Danielle though, guess you could just dye Katee Sackhoff's hair red and it would be pretty close.

I think she is the best of who appear in "Smallville".

(And yes, a good action/sci-fi lady is a definite bonus.) Lena Heady could be good, for all that's a lousy picture of her on her main imdb page.
