Too bad Lazarus is nothing but a blatant and pointless reset mechanic so they could ignore every single choice the player made in ME1 in order to create a series of stand-alone entires that don't require you to play the prevous entry. Since BioWare has no respect for Lazarus, neither do I.

Edit: Because I started a new page.

Hey! I dispute this, and think it's patently obvious that Liara tops Shepard. When the latter openly admits that she enjoys it when the former "puts pressure" on her, I don't think there's any clearer indication as to who possesses all the power in that aspect of their relationship. ; )

Mwahahaaa!  I like your thinking, Les.  Both my FemSheps love their girlfriend in....control.  Liara's new job title only makes it sexier.

It could be compelling if they make something of it in ME3.  My Shepard is a sole survivor, so being half Shepard and half Cerberus wiring is some serious internal conflict.  It would be great if in ME3 she starts having these visions of killing aliens or something.

But, I have little stake in the story so I don't get as passionate about these things as others that have followed the series more closely.

The glow didn't bother me, either. It's a reminder that Cerberus filled her full of wires. Dunno how anyone else pictures it, but I figure my femShep tells Garrus that if she ever starts acting like a Cerberus drone, he needs to take her out. I like having the visual reminder that she's back but not as she once was.

Yeah, I agree. I mean, it makes sense. (A reason I don't play paragon, they heal and why I don't use that thingy for Chakwas to heal them either, well this is only one reason. Another is renegades are awesome, and Hale voices the renegade lines oh so very well.)

Umm, errr

I would like to clarify.  I do like the way scarring looks on some Sheps.  I don't like how it's tied to morality.  Nonsensical psuedoscience.

It makes sense at the beginning since Cerberus rebuilt her and she's has quite a bit of machine in her, and they do say she was woken up early.  After that, not so much.  They should heal the same regardless of morality.  But, it is a game.  And they wanted to tie it into the game mechanics.  So it's not that huge a deal.

So do you guys like the Renegade scars on your Female Shepard's?

Honestly? They make every Female character they are on really, really, fugly.  Buuuuuut thats just my opinion,  I'm just a girl who loves girls, what do I know?

Oh, and they make most male character look terribly ugly also, just thought I would throw that in so I am not being biased.

The Lazarus Project's entire purpose was to explain why you could use the character creation screen again at the start of ME2. Knowing this series we will never hear of it ME3, and it will play no part in anything ever again.

Thank you Mac Walters.

The whole scar thing in ME2 IS a huge fail. They should have left well enough alone with the scars they had from ME1. And the scar thing in ME2 make no sense what-so-ever.

I would've liked the scars more if they B. weren't so bloody huge and creepy. B. Actually did heal in time and not just because of some "rescue kittes, avoid teh scars" - mentality. Plus, if you go down the renegade path and depending on how far gone you are your eyes turn red. That is one big WTF moment for me.

I don't like the scars, at all. On my one experimental full-renegade run I let them go. It got to the point where I couldn't even look at my character without cringing. I went to the med-bay and healed them as soon as I'd had enough. Aside from it making no sense, why bother designing a Shep that looks good if you're going that route?

Moira looked OK with a little light scaring, but she is extremely vain. Doesn't fit into her character to leave them or let them get horrendous.

I believe my husband put it like this:
"It looks like a demon is about to pop out of her face."

As for who's in charge when it comes to the Liara relationship:

You better believe it's Constance.  ^_^

Though, I would say, after LotSB Liara has come into her own.

I do prefer the scars we had in ME-they made Shepard look like she's been in harm's way before. In ME2, the morality aspect does nothing for me.

And I've imported a Level 60 paragon, so those go away fast.

re: Big Secrets, Jessica never tells anyone about her life growing up in Singapore on Earth.  Never.  She hates everything about her youth with a passion.  She wishes she could forget it entirely, but sadly it hangs onto her psyche like a rabid varren and has managed to mess up almost everything in her entire life ever since.  The only person who knows anything about it is Liara, and tha'ts only because of the mind melds.

re: Scars, I hate them and so does Jessica.  Jessica because she turned out to be a bit more vain than she would have admitted beforehand, and also because they're a visual and constant reminder of just what has been done to her and what she's lost.  As soon as she can, she gets into that dermal regenerator thingy and gets rid of them (and grows some hair, too).

For myself, I hate them because they're, as has aleady been stated, nonsensical pseudoscience.

Omigosh this.

Jessica's history with sex is... not good.  She's more than happy to let Liara take total charge in the bedroom (and most of the interpersonal aspects of their relationship, actually).  Battlefield, diplomacy, anything related to swinging guns around or being badass, don't get in her way, she's in charge and don't you forget it.  Anything having to do with tenderness?  She's helpless.  She pretty much lets Liara do whatever and just goes along with it.

It really depends on the Shepard and the player, I suppose, but I like the scars.

Image IPB

The way I see it, you're going around, collecting all of these minerals to help you defeat this Big Bad. If it's a canon side effect of being an ****, then it happens, regardless of how much sense it makes. And taking the time and putting the effort into mining for that much platinum just to make yourself all pretty again? It didn't make much sense from Stella's angle.

Then again, you could argue that they have to be a "face" of diplomacy or leadership or whatever and going around looking like your skull is burning through your cheeks is bad for that.

Eh. I like them on certain Shepards. Others could do without them.

I love the scaring since they're for Renegades, it add's to the intimidation factor. Nothing makes enemies pee their pants like red eyes glaring at them from the dark. I also agree that they're a good reminder that Shep died and how they could possibly change in the 2 years of being brought back to life (me1 paragon going renegade and visa versa) I love them on Kallen (so did Liara and Miranda) and i also like the ption to heal them too so even renegades can look normal without them.

They would be a meaningful reminder if someone would acknowledge and comment on them. But apparently it's no big deal in the Mass Effect universe. Just like dying and being resurrected. What? It happens every day.

Or changing your face. Plenty of people say you were dead but people just recognize you if you were white when you died then come back and you're black. That's what got me, especially your old crew which includes your old lover (unless you were a single shep)Image IPB

Lol I always keep thinking this when I create new Sheps. If the one I imported in ME1 had black hair and was darkskinned and then ends up as a blonde, light skinned chick in ME2 and nobody reacts. In fact, everyone recognizes you. I mean, it's a stupid thing to complain about and I'm not complaining, I just laugh everytime I think about it.

One thing about the scars bothers me: they are limited to Shep's face. Why aren't there any on the rest of the body? Because the head is obviously the least important and should be finished last in the Lazarus Project?

It is inevitable that your logic will break down if you think too much about the Renegade scars.
