I've been trying to do the same thing but I've played with so many other Shepards that I am a little bored of the games.  I want to have my canon all leveled up and ready to take on the Shadowbroker.  I figure that I have at least 2 months to do this though.  Right now I am still stuck on the Citadel in ME1.

I had two things going in my favor -- 1) I didn't have fraps when I played ME1 (and I missed the Kaidan/Ashley encounter on Citadel because I didn't know about it) so I was very motivated to redo ME1, especially since I could use ME2 face codes to recreate her in ME1 and 2) I had been away from the ME community so long that I had a ton of DLCs waiting for me. (I'm soo happy that Aegis armor pack was already out when I came back -- that armor really took my game experience to a new level visually).

I am trying to decide between playing a new Shepard or going back to Dragon Age and run my characters through Awakening now that they've patched it and fixed the bugged quests. I don't really care that much about Awakening, but the upcoming DLC and DA2 is supposedly going to let us import our Awakening save over so why not make Awakening count for something, y'know? ;)

I just finished my ME1 > ME2 marathon with my canon (I redid her games because I wanted to change her background to earthborn instead of colonist) and I'm just exhausted. I have two more Shepards I'd like to flesh out mainly to try out the other two romances, but I worry it'd be a waste of time if ME2 romances don't carry forward, y'know? I mean, beyond being a 2 minute cameo in ME3 or something. =p

I know the feeling. I'm doing a maleShep infiltrator playthrough (trying to have one shep with the Ideal weapon and I've never had a colonist background Shep so got that one out of the way too, and I just downloaded bring down the sky, so when I get my engineer playthrough I can choose to save whats her face but let Balak go (I hope he gets a cameo on Me3 so we can but a round in his headPosted Image) but yeah the Citadel has sooooo many friggen quests!!!!!!!!Posted Image

Femshep relevant stuffs be here...

A while back I recorded an entire ME1 playthrough. Unfortunately, my technology was limited back then - I had to record the footage onto DVDs in awful quality. I had to run the 360 through our DVD player, which meant it had to run at 50Hz, meaning the picture was awful and squashed so it only filled about half the screen. From there, I had to rip said DVDs onto my computer, causing even more quality loss, and then stretch them back to 16:9 in my video editing software.

This is the quality I got at the end of it...

Making matters worse is that Freya recieved a facelift in ME2, meaning she looks different to the footage from ME1 - not that you can tell with that awful quality.

Anyhoo - shortly after ME2 came out, I purchased equipment to record full HD footage from the 360, from which I can take HD screenshots, as I have been doing. So I thought to myself - isn't it about time I replayed ME1 anyway? I haven't touched it since ME2 came out.

So, here we go again...

Freya's face in this playthrough was reverse-engineered from her ME2 face-code, so when I import - she should look exactly as I altered her to look in ME2.

She looks bad-ass. I love her! And I reversed engineered my ME1 character from my ME2 code and she looked the same when I imported her back into ME2. At least I can have an actual code for myself. When I imported my original ME1 to ME2, I still never had a code for her for either games and had to recreate her from scratch. Glad I had to do it this way as it allowed me to slightly tweak some things and scrub off the make-up that I regretted. =p

Anyway, I really dig that Shep. She looks very intense.

Hehe, thanks - glad you like her! :D

This is her in ME2 - the ME1 face was reverse-engineered from this. Amazing really - they look very different, but should be identical as far as the game is concerned when it comes to importing.

Anyone have a link on reverse engineering? I'd love to do that with my ME2 Shepard. I just have to create her from scratch in the creator on ME1 but I'd love it if she looked exactly like ME2 Kathryn Shepard.

Somehow I not posted in this thread, considering I posted in almost every femshep thread on this site!

Mass Effect is Femshep!

Did 9 playthroughs on ME, 1 male & 8 female. Done 5 playthroughs on ME2 all femshep.

I seriously doubt I will ever do maleshep for ME2 at the moment. But ME3 is still a long way away.

OMG!  That's awesome!

I wish you could go the other way though...get the face code for an imported ME1 character.

Yup. Basically if you altered your Shepard in ME2, it allows you to play ME1 with the alterations in place so when you import to ME2, they look the way they want to and you get continuity.

For people who take a lot of screenshots - like myself - this is very important.

I know it is for me as I gave my Shep a facelift when I loaded up ME2 and I am in love with it.  Since I am starting her career over again in ME1, I'd like to play the game with the face I adore.

I'll see if I can dig up screenshots of my ME1 > ME2 differences. I really had to sit there and think about my ME2 character because in ME1, I picked the blonde hair with black eyebrows because in my mind, she bleached her hair just to be a punk. The ME1 blonde hair looked like it had black roots so it made perfect sense (she also had black lipstick at the time). So when I imported her to ME2, the black roots were gone and I really had to think about if her hair would be restored to black or RP it as the engineers thinking her hair was blonde and keeping it that way. That was a tough decision, but I quickly realized it didn't feel the same playing without the blonde hair I had grown accustomed to so that solved my dilemma nicely. =p

I actually think that may be possible with some serious coding experience, which I don't possess just yet. ;)

I mean, since you can get the facial sliders from an ME2 code, in theory, the reverse should be possible.

I havent done it yet but I cant wait to play ME again using a well designed face on ME2.      Im guessing im not the only one here who can easily spend 2 hours plus designing my femshep to be perfect.   Then get in game and pick apart the tiniest of flaws!
