Again, I'm not saying that all LI discussion be dropped, I'm just saying that it usually turns into detailed introspective devling into that character, which should be taken elswhere.

I tend to think that Shepard's love interest is part of her character. Noah and Kyrie wouldn't be the same Noah and Kyrie without Kaidan. Jessica and Kathryn would not be the same character without Liara. Discussing the LIs should be fine; it's discussing the LIs outside the context of femShep that might cause a problem.

Look in regards to this whole issue nobody is going to come in a censor discussion about romance options as they pertain to Shepard, this thread has always allowed a generous deal of leeway when it comes to the topic at hand. The success of this thread has been due to the friendly and self-moderating atmosphere we've cultivated here. The comment that spawned all this was simply, "How can anyone not like Kaidan?", which quite obviously was said in a joking and light hearted manner. It was not stating that Kaidan was the best character or that he was better than any other option, except to those who prefer him which is a personal preference and not a statement of fact. That comment did not need someone coming behind and saying that they don't like him and in fact hate him and Ashley. Such a comment adds nothing positive to the discourse and actively undermines the friendly atmosphere of this thread.

The solution to this problem isn't even that difficult, all it requires is that people think before they post. If what you're going to say isn't going to add to the discussion or is just make someone else upset then try not posting it. This isn't a chatroom and you don't need to respond to every single thing brought up.

There are characters talked about that I don't like, and in those circumstances I just don't say anything. Which is a much easier option for everyone involved and nobody will ever need to bother Pacifen.

I find it really difficult to kill not save everyone on the SM.  TBH, I like all of the characters too much.  It took so much effort to pick Miranda for the Biotic Specialist, but I found it to be in-character for my Shep, so I went with it.  

Alas, poor Thane.  I knew him well.  

As for the whole thing, Just be civil.  The internet could use more civil places like this.  FemShep thread is an Oasis in the desert of troll.

femShep for life, here to register my support and ask for a higher res model but don't go overboard feminising the animation, she's a spec ops soldier not a débutante.

Yeah, for most of my Sheps, everyone survives. Edit: Actually, Morgana is the only exception, come to think of it(I think I have 9 or 10 FemSheps right now).

I hated the casket scene for if you lost someone. On my first ever suicide missionI lost Jacob because I chose Miranda as the biotic bubble girl and he got carried off. I lost Grunt too because he was the second fire team leader. Myonlytwo casualties the first go round, since about my 5th playthrough none of my Sheps have lost anyone.

You're not alone.  I've never even seen the caskets.

I always take casualties on the suicide mission by design, I even purposely kill off characters that I like.







Otherwise the outcome seems too easy and lacks a bit of weight.

Hm. Set textures to "High" and performance didn't even degrade, really. Been playing ME2 for months and never noticed that. Never really played around with it, though.

The scars definitely come out better. On medium, it's a barely discernable line.

Thanks!  She's the best looking FemShep I've ever made.  As for killing specific squadmates, I've studied the hell out of the Ultimate Guide, so now it's just a matter of deciding who lives.

I think I'm going to go with Morinth, Kasumi, Tali, Garrus, Zaeed, and Jack.  Miranda's the only one she'd intentionally leave behind (they can't stand each other), while the other casualties would arise from her charging in without thinking, as usual.  Pondered killing Garrus as well, but I'm too much of a fangirl.  He'll have to wait until my crazy alien-hating Shep gets imported, at which point I will have played through ME1 and 2 so many times that I will hate everyone in the game.

@yukidama: Stay up for 50 hours straight with nothing but diet Pepsi and gummi worms to keep you going, and you'll come up with some pretty weird names, too.

I've got a save where there was death, and acceptable losses, and the like, but I much prefer feeling heroic and badass, and making sure everyone gets through at the end.

Alexis would sooner fall in the fight herself than not do everything in her power to ensure her squad lives.
