Something I've been meaning to do, but I keep forgetting. At some point I think I'll open a discussion in the group related to modding (and maybe another one for gampeplay). It won't be anything that you can't find on the social site elsewhere, but I want it to be FemShep-specific. The topic of modding appearances always comes up here, so I reckon it'll be good to have a thread to gather experiences and tips - especially for those not so familiar with modding and are willing to try. You can do a lot just by editing savegames, so that automatically includes 360 users/players(maybe even PS3 players?).

You know what really irks me about the whole ManShep being the only Shepard allowed on the cover thing?

The fact that they could have avoided the whole issue completely by having reversible inserts.  Hell, other games have them, why couldn't Mass Effect.

ManShep on one side, FemShep on the other, just pull it out - turn it over - pop it back in.  There, done, simple.

Thats beautiful Kary.  Very deep and I think everyones Shep felt lonely more then once during the game. She carries a heavy weight and her past life and experiences push her to drive forwards. :happy:

And the below cover!  Wow!  I bet the ME3 doesnt even compare to this and a couple of the others we have seen!  Bioware has a challenge!

I can force all that through my NVidia control panel, but it ends up blowing out the lights into big fuzzy super-pixelated blobs.  I grit my teeth and put up with the horrid aliasing because getting rid of the aliasing makes the lights look even more horrid.

And it seems no matter what I do I can't force FSAA in ME2, so bleh.

I never liked Ambient Occlusion in most games (would much rather have anti aliasing, and they're mutually exclusive), and never saw it make a difference in ME1 either.

I think Kaidan's been frustrated since Eden Prime, Liara only since Therum.  That extra [insert variable time estimate here] must really make a difference.  :innocent:

i also would imagine that liara's long life might contribute to slightly more patience. this is just a guess, though. 

re: miri's armor - yes, please, for the love of all that's buoyant, give that woman a sports bra.

i have no problem with buoyancy. i do have problems with watching miri fight in heels and her...whatever bra, if any, she's wearing. i LOVE miri as a character, and it pains me to think of how much trauma that must be causing her back.

Yes, it's mostly the high heels and the exposed skin that irks me.  After all, the light armor from ME1 didn't look significantly heftier than Miranda's suit.  I imagine it has kinetic barriers out the wazoo.

EDIT:  Thread's slow tonight... I should really take the hint and focus on studying for my test tomorrow, but I would rather post pics of Kate instead!

I thought you might like that!  I could not be happier with how well this turned out...the base image was perfect for her, the screen cap seemed to be taylored for it and the composit was seemless.

Maybe she doesn't act so "aggressive" because she doesn't have that much experience with other species, as she says. She just doesn't want to do anything wrong.

Anyway, it's nice to see that it's just not a 1:1 scene with different characters.
