Holly always wears dark blue with the light blue secondary. Before the Aegis Pack came out it was all N7, but I like the Kestrel Legs so she wears those now. I tend to come up with a color scheme for each of my Shepards and stick with it.

Moira: Purple
Trista: Black
Mac: Green
Constance: Red
Aislinn: White

Random question: since the game encourages one to be a fashionata and change the color/style of shepard's armor, what color do you prefer for your shep to wear? Do you just stick with the default armor/colors because she wouldn't care, or do you really mix things around? I notice some sheps always seem to be wearing red, others white, etc.

For Kate, just the old school dark grey armor with the red N7 Stripe.

Yea I usually have my FemShep set up with a pony tail (even though it lacks physics ) still strangely enough I like her set up that way. This version of Lynn isn't the original I made, I sadly lost her when the HD imploded on the old compy. . .

If I'm not running around with the Avenger (I use it like a SMG it seems so weak! But I like the extra bullets for certain gas canisters or for finishing off various critters.) + Firestorm. Otherwise I have the Viper! I rarely use the heavys anyway so the firestorm stays on my back for the most part, (and besides it dosn't clip Lynn's ponytail !)

Hmm, generally I've been using black armor with the tint set all the way to the right for a matte finish. I couple that with light orange highlights and then grey patterns (the one in the middle)



For this latest playthrough I've been using the Kestral set exclusively, in a light beige finish with grey camo patterns.

@Aurica Thanks for the comments! It takes awhile to set up a photoshop / chop especially since I've gotten so frelling rusty from not using it as often as I should be. But one of these days I'll get back into the old digital picture mood and start snapping and choppin yet again. . .

quite. i spend a ridiculous amount of time in CC in any game, but i think Mass Effect has completely taken the cake for me.

however, given that it's 100+ hours of gameplay so far over 2 (and soon to be 3) games and how many DLCs? seriously, if you're going to devote that much time to a game, femshep might as well look "right" and have good armor to do it in. hence, why i figured out the armor hacks. 

ME is too long a game to have a crappy looking shepard.

Re: Armor Colors

Lili gets a white and blue but that was later in the game after she banged up her awesome black and red armor.

Lia got the red and black armor. She doesn't care but likes the darker colors.

Athena liked just black and gray. Nice, simple and dark.

Titra used black and gray with the camo effect.



On a side note, I just got the widow with Titra. Best. Sniper. Ever. Took out Harbinger with one headshot and warp ammo. Simply great.

@ Sage - Your right, there is a sultry, innocent and yet dangerous feel to them.  ...You could be sharing a glass of champange with her at the "The Normandy Club" , or in a dark ally on the south side of old Chicago, looking down the muzzle of the .32 Colt Pocket Hammerless or Smith & Wesson .38 she keeps in her purse.


@ Ryn - I'm glad you like it     Kathryn's has to be the one manip that took the longest to do.  Been working on it for weeks, but just could not find a base image that had the right feel until I came across the one I used here of Rita Hayworth.  Sometimes I get luck and find a screen cap / base image combo that just seem to be made for each other.....this was certainly one of those examples.

I spent about 3-4 hours over the course of 3 nights trying to get Alice's redesign to a point where I liked it.  Hopefully any future Shepards will go a little more smoothly!

I use different colour schemes for each of my Shep's. Once I'm happy with the colours I generally won't change them, as I tend to associate a certain colour scheme and style with each one and they look weird to me in anything different.

Hrist - Dark Blue & White camo. It was black & white but I used blue playing her as a vanguard on the 360 and prefered it to the black.


Lenneth - Black with Red trim.


Silmeria - Yellow & White camo with yellow trim.

I switch between Base Black with Red pattern and Red with a dark pattern for Kallen because she's turning more renegon as I play her. I recently switched up her armor to blue because I gibbed her to have a full paragon meter so she can be as renegade as she wants and still use the paragon options during the loyalty conflicts(even though she enjoys yelling at her squaddies to get them to shut the hell up.(in my head canon she always brings her pistol to them and that's how they end.) For Shawn she wears the default colors after Omega, and Novae Rog goes with all white (since she's based after an icy combat manuever from an old cartoon.)

I really like the symbolism of the default armor. This really had an impact on me when I saw that Legion took Shepard's old armor and used it for himself. He couldn't explain why, but it was definitely a symbolic moment for me. Whenever I play my canon, I try to keep her in that armor as much as possible, especially for screenshots, even if the armor isn't the best one available. If I need to switch it out for battles, I tend to switch to a gray armor instead. This is what she wears in ME1 as much as possible:



As for ME2, I kept her out of the stripe armor to symbolize 1) she was no longer with the Alliance and 2) she had access to fancier gear. (I am really hoping that in ME3, we return to the Alliance and she can once again wear the armor from ME1 and complete the circle). I liked how Kaidan had an upgraded fancy armor design on Horizon (with his glowing orbs) and Shepard was right there, keeping pace. It really sent a strong message to me how they're both on different sides of the same coin now. I keep it on default gray. I like the color. The game is too dark as it is for me to wear black full time.



Aaaaand the other day I was wearing my ME striped shirt around the house and my husband smiled because he knew I loved the game so much. He suggested that I take a picture of me wearing that shirt (or the striped hoodie) and put it up as my Facebook profile picture when it gets closer to ME3 being released. I thought that was a great idea! =p
