Aaaaand the other day I was wearing my ME striped shirt around the house and my husband smiled because he knew I loved the game so much. He suggested that I take a picture of me wearing that shirt (or the striped hoodie) and put it up as my Facebook profile picture when it gets closer to ME3 being released. I thought that was a great idea! =p

one of my profile picks is the hoodie with the N7 logo and the stripe showing. Oddly enough alot of my friends were like "you play Mass effect?Image IPB

"What do you mean I don't get royalties for the hoodie? someone needs a my boot of their ass."

LOL. I can never tell if a guy is giving me the "Hey, how you doing?" grin because I'm a chick or because I'm wearing a N7 hoodie. :D

ALSO, everbody!  I wrote something!  It's my first ever fanfic-y thing I've written, and I'm very nervous about it.  It's just a one-shot about FemShep's birthday.  I tried to keep it general so people could imagine their FemShep in it, but it's Delta so it ends up having references to Garrus and Kaidan romance in it, especially Garrus.

It's not supposed to be serious; I tried to write something funny and silly.  Please read it and let me know what ya'll think!  It's in my Bioware blog.

Here it is!

Very nicly written Leggy!  The way that you wrote each character was spot on and I could certainly see Delta tanked on Vodka as I was reading it, lol!

Too funny! :o

I just have to say, not only are both these pictures hilarious, but I absolutely love the faces on these Shepards.  Both of them are fairly new entrants into the FemShep Appreciation Thread stable, but they're both very unique and they both have that unidentifiable something that just makes them magnetic.  As I look at them side by side like this, they both have similarities in the features, yet both wind up looking very distinct (and they're both really pretty, too).  Both are now in my selection of favorite Shepard faces ever.  You guys should be proud of your work here, it's fantastic.

Thank you so much Mr. V.! I have to say there's an eerie similarity here. I only based a small part of Marion's features on myself, but this picture feels like a mirror (only the face part).

Random question: since the game encourages one to be a fashionata and change the color/style of shepard's armor, what color do you prefer for your shep to wear? Do you just stick with the default armor/colors because she wouldn't care, or do you really mix things around? I notice some sheps always seem to be wearing red, others white, etc.

Late to the party (that's the norm though for me), but Alexis is pretty much your standard N7 color scheme. I've done playthroughs where I've used dark red and dark blue, but it struck me that no matter what she's been through, she's an Alliance girl at heart. Sticking with the standard issued color scheme really works for her. Sure, it could be boring to stick with the grey armor with N7 stripe, but she's proud of what she's accomplished, and she wants those who see her to know exactly where she is coming from.

You are correct! Very good, the base image was Rita Hayworth.

Thank you!  That is a really nice and very flattering compliment!  I'm just really glad you like it!

UJ (Paragon) is in a blue/light blue mix n match N7/Kestrel armor set.  I use the blue to match her eyes and yes, she has boob armor.  I've tried other colors on her and this just looks the best IMO.  I've also tried full Kestral aromor on her and she just doesn't look right to me w/out the boob armor.  Sorry.

Image IPB
Erica (Renegade)  is in a full Kestral armor, black and red, that she calls "The Black Widow."  It suits her personality very well.

Interesting article. Thanks for sharing, Jamie.

However, it's also quite discouraging to learn of another player that was completely unaware of FemShep's existence until recently, though.

I'm glad femshep is getting som recognition, along with Hale, becasue like the revieer said, you'd miss out because of male sheps exclusive spot in the promotions. My friend (who got me into mass effect) hadn't evn played femshep until I mentioned it to him. No word yet on how he likes it.

Well, comically enough, when I started playing ME1 on PC, it was about 7 months after it had come out (I'd been playing mainly C&C games and generic shooters until that point), and the main reason I started playing was because I heard you could play as a woman!  Up until that point, women in most games had either been damsels or eye candy, and not a lot else (bar things like KOTOR, which I only played after ME).

Oh, how soon that view changed! I hoped for someone who could be a kick-ass commander, whilst retaining some essence of femininity.  And Jen Hale certainly delivered on that score! ^_^  Then I played more, made my ManShep (who's got the sharpest jaw in the galaxy, you could cut paper with it), who I found to be somewhat lacking (though I'm pleased to say that having just watched that vid of the comparison, Mark Meer's definitely better in ME2).

So yeah, thanks to Jen Hale and FemShep, I got into Mass Effect. :D
