Random question: since the game encourages one to be a fashionata and change the color/style of shepard's armor, what color do you prefer for your shep to wear? Do you just stick with the default armor/colors because she wouldn't care, or do you really mix things around? I notice some sheps always seem to be wearing red, others white, etc.
Late to the party (that's the norm though for me), but Alexis is pretty much your standard N7 color scheme. I've done playthroughs where I've used dark red and dark blue, but it struck me that no matter what she's been through, she's an Alliance girl at heart. Sticking with the standard issued color scheme really works for her. Sure, it could be boring to stick with the grey armor with N7 stripe, but she's proud of what she's accomplished, and she wants those who see her to know exactly where she is coming from.
I'm late to the party too, but I've really enjoyed looking back up the thread, seeing all the armor variations, and reading everyone's explanations.
Took a while to track Rhea down, but once I caught up with her I was able to stop her long enough to ask her why she tends to stick with the olive(ish) green (mostly) Kestrel armor:
"Well, as much as I'd like to be able to say I prefer this setup because of the shield boosting or the comfort factor or the extra ammo capacity, the truth is... well.. " She sighed and looked away, the faintest hint of a blush on her cheeks. "It matches my eyes. OK - there it is. Satisfied?"
"Gotta go." She spun around and sprinted away down the corridor, her boots clicking loudly against the deck plating. Just before she turned the corner, she looked back over her shoulder, grinned, and yelled, "...And it's not boob armor. I
hate boob armor!"
"Alright, Lieutenant Taylor. Suggest the boob armor one more time. Just one. More. Time."
