Well, thanks to ELE, I found that armor retex.  And I went to town.  Enjoy!

That looks great! I don't know if it's the texture resolution or the fact that it's smooth but it looks a lot more real than the ingame implementations, methinks.

Nice to see some recognition from someone at Bioware for femshep. I really don't understand why they continue to hide her in the background. They've got one of the best female characters in gaming and most people have to find out about her by accident, or word of mouth.

Question ...

For those who have more than one femShep, if the faces are vastly different, does the voice sound different to you even though it is the exact same line? Let me explain. I've got two femSheps now, one Paragon and the other Renegade and obviously they sound different spouting off specific paragon/renegade lines. However, as I was playing Erica in ME2, I swear she sounded different than UJ even though it was the exact same line. The only time they sounded identical when during the Tali Loyalty quest as the face is covered up so many lines are similar. I'm not under any delusion that the lines are different, but feel it is a trick of the brain. It's an illusion that the lines sound different because the faces are different. Anyone else have that experience or am I just crazy?

I was thinking about this other day and giving myself a major headtrip.  I can't really explain it, the femshep's I end up sticking with look "right" with Hale's voice coming out of them.  IE, my femshep 'Lena' I think ended up looking really gorgeous but I scrapped her because the voice felt wrong.

So I have a few different femsheps, and they do sound like 'themselves.'  Even though I know in my head they sound exactly the same.  I can even picture them talking to each other with Hale's voice and it doesn't seem weird because it's 'their' voice.  Ahhhh.  It's weird.

damn :crying:

ELE Shepard: Earthborn, Ruthless

As for the Jamie's question.... I really had a hard time with Hayley (my 2nd shep).  Half her ME1 run something was off. It was Abby's voice but a different face
Eventually, I kinda made the mental switch and it didn't feel strange hearing Hale's voice with a different shep.
With Natalia was strange too but because of the opposite. Hale's voice felt right on her just from start, talking to Nihlus on the Normandy. Don't know how that works.

@cgrimm
Those are really nice pics there, but don't take this the wrong way, could you pleas post .jpgs ?
Five pngs of 1.5 ~ 1.7 mb each is a bit too much, IMO. My ff took a nice blow rendering the previous page.

You could enclose the img tag with urls
[*url=linky full resolution][*img]linky jpg[/img][/url]

That way, the .jpg will be rendered and if someone wants the full version, they can click on the image.

As most people know I take screenshots for several of our xboxers and while I don't hear lines differently depending on if it's one of my Sheps or someone else's, for the Shepards that don't resemble Kate or Liz, it just sounds odd to hear Hale's VA matched up to those Shepards.

Hehe, and for TSP, Alexis, Meghan and Ella all sound way too similar. :P

interesting question. for me, no, and that's a huge chunk of the reason i only have the 1 femshep. i have had various incarnations of kyrie from the beginning, all blonde, and most with the "custom sexy" hair, and all with the super-pale skin. it was a matter of making the face the "right" face, the face i expected to see, when she turned around. i feel like i got to that point and i don't think i'll be making another.

i have an idea for a shep - essentially kyrie's opposite. i figured if kyrie had died on mindoir, her cousin, who is a spacer, would vow to avenge her. this cousin, in my head, is rather mentally unstable and essentially becomes jack, only with an alliance uniform on. i could be an interesting full renegade playthrough, but i doubt i'll ever do it. for now, thankfully kyrie survived and there was a more stable shepard saving the galaxy.

I really love reading reviews about how Jennifer Hale's voice acting gives a different gaming experience when John Shepard is considered the default way to play. I don't really care what people play as, but it's nice to see male players come in all pleasantly surprised that what a tough talking broad she is and how she won them over.  Shared my feedback on the FB page to support FemShep.

I also like the fact that Hale or Meer did not copy each others. Good for us, since now male and female Shep playthroughs give different gaming experience.

I've been a Hale fan for a while now. I was totally stunned how good the voice acting was in Freelancer. I would rate that as Hale's best performances ever.

I've liked her work since playing the origianl Metal Gear Solid on the PlayStation. I was really surprised when I found out she voiced Emma Emmerich in MGS2 and one of the characters in Tales of Symphonia, as they didn't sound anything like her.

Infact seeing her name as the voice of femshep in ME1's credits was one of the reasons I decided to make a Female Shepard.
