Looks like something the colonists would wear on the Terminus Colonies.  Well apart from the obvious improvements for Shep.  You would look right at home on Horizon wearing that!

Yeah, most likely. The way Shepard always says "Dismissed, Chief" always struck me as a little flirtatious anyhow, and the result of modding your game to get the romance scene for her is a hnnnnggg-inducing cutscene. So yeah, i'd have preferred that. Plus if both she and Kaidan had remained bisexual, that awkward sexual tension whenever mshep approaches Kaidan would make more sense.

So I wrote another silly one-shot.  I'm not as pleased with it as the birthday one, but it was a strange idea in my head that I had to get out regardless.    I was wondering what would happen if Shepard and her squad had to go through one of those stupid teambuilding workshops, and then this happened.

Here it is!

I commented on the blog itself but I have to say this had me grinning like a Chessy cat the entire time.  I like how you manage to keep everyone in character even though it's a total crack comedy fic.  It never felt awkward or uncomfortable like a lot of comedy fics do when they just have the characters act whacky for forced laughs.  I think my favorite part was Kasumi drooling all over Jacob and lifting his wallet while he was blindfolded.

I'm kind of glad Ash isn't, actually.  Just because your character is bi or gay doesn't mean everyone else is.  It would kind of not fit with Ash's established character to have her sexuallity determined by the player, rather than by said character.  Hence why I would never bother to mod a save file to force her to romance a femShep.

Same thing with modding Morrigan to sleep with a female NPC in Dragon Age, for example (totally ignoring the whole Dark Ritual wierdness that can follow, rrrgh).  I find the whole romance and sexuality angle to NPCs in RPGs a wierd deviation from the norm when it comes to the RPing crowd.  You'll have fan threads where people will defend characters and discuss their appreciation for them, but in the very next sentence complain that they don't cater to every foible of their PC's sexual whims.  Maybe that's just not their character, you know?  Not every decision by every person in the universe revolves around the PC (well realistically it does, but the world and game design isn't supposed to make it obvious... if it is obvious, we're playing a Lionhead Studios game, not an RPG).  I don't care what sexual preferences Shepard has, she's not going to make someone who doesn't like girls fall in love with her just because of her incredible animal magnetism.

Now if we're going to talk about why Jack isn't bi in the game, well yeah, that makes no sense.  No sense at all.

Oh and additionally thanks for all the feedback you gave me yesterday guys and girls it helped me out loads. Im Looking for some more so you can point me in the right direction.  What do you like/dont where can I improve on ect... 

I downtoned the cloud layer even more and put in a aura effect in the corner.  I made Kaidan and Amelia more visable and made up some weird layers to try and highlight certain areas off them. 

I going to play around with text effects later because my old text was very basic so deleted it.  Additionally I havent really touched the foreground pic of Amelia yet so will see what I can do with her later too.

Seriously... I don't play games with fantasy themes*, but IIRC a game called "Fable" had an option where you could designate the sexual orientation of your character and the game would apply things that way. The problem is you'd either need to create whole new characters based on orientation, or "flip a switch" on existing characters to make them compatible with the PC's orientation. Both have pitfalls. I know in KOTOR2 I found myself disappointed that you couldn't have Handmaiden and Disciple in your party, and there really wasn't a romance option in that game. They should have made G0-T0 a background NPC who snarked when you spoke with it or similar.

Maybe ME3 will try something along that way, though to be honest the romance parts aren't quite as important to me as the "Save the Galaxy" or even the "Explore Strange New Worlds, Meet Fascinating Beings... and Kill Them" parts are.

(*=Or low tech levels. Except games like Civilization, where I'm usually trying to build my empire up to the point where I have all the nifty stuff of this era and/or futuristic things. Tremble before my Bolos, Genghis Khan!)

I finally got around to playing ME2 again, if only for a little. Poked around the Citadel and talked to the council.
It was during the Citadel shopping, specifically buying the hamster, that I came up with a great FemShep question: What were the events that lead up to your Shep getting the fuzzy space-hamster and what did she name it?

For Damara, it went something like this:
Miranda: "Shepard, why are we in the souvenir shop?"
Damara: "My cabin has a model case and a fish-tank, weirdly enough. I need something to put in them. They just look... strange. All empty and... filled... with... emptyness..."
Miranda: *Sighs* "Fine. I suppose. But we should hur-"
*She jumps as Damara squeals and spins, gently holding a hamster in her hand*
Damara: "Oh my god, look at this little guy, Miri! He's adorable! And he's fluffy!"
*Kasumi quickly takes a picture of Shepard snuggling the hamster*
Damara: "I'm getting him."
Miranda: "Shepard, we don't have time for pets."
Damara: "....pleeease?" *She holds the hamster up and gives Miranda puppy eyes, pouting*
Miranda: "....fine. Get the hamster."
*Damara giggles and jumps a few times, insisting on carrying her Mr. Schnuggles back to the ship herself.*

And remember, she was fully armored and armed to the teeth when this happened.
