Edit:  Shep names!

I honestly wish that outfit was an armor option for Femshep. She looks fantastic in it. Very River Tam
I mean why is Shepard the only one in proper armor. I demand cool combat costumes for ME 3

Hahaha.  That would be an interesting tale.  Poor Holly, always trippin' out on Thane kisses.  I like that idea, maybe I'll throw a story together when I'm done with my other fics.

I don't think I'm the greatest at comedy, though.  :?

 @leggy

I'm surprised that poor girl knows her gun from a flowerpot, the amount of kissing the two of them probably do.

Waaaait a second.  You used Complexion 2 didn't you?!  I knew there was something that made her look so unique!  I don't think either of the other two complexions have the nasal-labial fold so visible, but I never picked up on it until the lighting in this picture set it off.  If true, it's one of the very very few femSheps that use that texture and make it look good.  Impressive!

Thanks! Complexion 2? I honestly don't know. I simply move sliders around until i'm satisfied (at least until i see it in the gameplay lighting conditions, then reload and tweak more) =]

I have a question for all of you. What do you consider when naming your Shepards?

For my ideas i use google and name generators. It should be short and sound good. My latest favourite is Alix.

This is what baby names site is telling about it:
The girl's name Alix, also used as boy's name Alix, is of Old German origin, and the meaning of Alix is "noble". Variant of Alex, and used as a feminine name, possibly influenced by Alice. Alexandra, last Empress of Russia, was known to her family as Alix.

Her face expresses nobility so the name fits perfectly ^_^

Ok, I have a bit of a problem. For some reason, the femshep I created to run thru ME (both 1&2) to get set up for 3 doesn't seem to work as well in ME2 as she did in ME1. By this, I mean to say that the face I made for her in ME1 just doesn't emote well at all in ME2, and I've started 3 seperate times trying to make tweaks to her face to get it to look right. No dice.

So, I've come to the illustrious FemShep fan thread to ask if anyone has a FemShep face code that doesn't look too barbie-ish, but is pretty in a kick-ass kinda way, that emotes well in ME2. I would be most appreciative. Mostly I'm looking for a face that emotes well and at least sounds decent with Hale's VO. Thanks a bunch in advance!

So far all but one of my FemSheps are named after the fictional character they're loosely based upon.

Riza "Hawkeye" Shepard
Abigail "Hearns" Shepard
Edward... what was Radical Edward's full name? Been awhile. Ah yes, assuming wikipedia is remotely correct:
Edward "Wong Hau Pepulu Tivruskii 4th" Shepard

(Except for Kyrie, whom I must've had sagequeen's Shep in mind when the name popped in my head. I'm introducing her identical twin sister DingoKylie as soon as Riza "Hawkeye" Shepard's lvl 60 run is finished.)

Do you have an example of what kind of face you're looking for? There's a huge variety of FemSheps around here. Of course, not everyone might be willing to provide a face code... By the way, have you browsed the face code DB site? That's where I've looked for inspiration - take a face code and further modfiy and tweak the face to my liking.

Kind of an awkward moment. I could really imagine them sitting right next to each other and not talking at all in this situation after Illium. Deep in thought about their future.

Thanks for replying, but I basically said "heck with it" and started from scratch.  Actually wound up with something that's fairly close to my ME1 face, but works much better in ME2 (so far.)

My original face started with the #8 facial structure, and for some reason (not even sure if it's related to that structure or not) that face just looked so different than it did in ME1.  Same settings and everything.  But, like I said I started over, and wound up with something that looks similar to my original, but works better.  If I had remembered to have Fraps running I'd be showing her off right now...but alas, 'tis not to be.  Perhaps some other time.

Thanks anyways!

No problem. ^_^ I had similar issues with some of my FemSheps, but I managed to find similar enough faces(ie. similar to the ME1 faces) on the DB site to work with.

Names, eh?
Let's see...
  • Delila: my very first Shepard, called her that because of the song
  • Laura: I've known & seen some pretty girls with the name and I happened to like it
  • Lantrun: Dragonage had forced me to look for names in the web, so for her I picked Mechthild (mighty warrior) and Landerun (knows secret of home) from a list but the darn game wouldn't let me assign both so I used a modified writing style of L.
  • Sanngriðr: means "very violent/cruel" and is the name of a valkyrie, which - in a way - you could also say about Shepard
Nowadays I always utilize a list of norse names and pick ones with a fitting meaning or I just like the soun of.

Edit: I also got one manShep, named him "Dork".[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/devil.png[/smilie]

I always play femshep-! She's so expressive and such a powerful motif. I think in a lot of ways she's a more of an iconic image than the male Shepard. Someone who can stand equal, someone who can make a choice to both be feminine but command respect, or command respect through fear.

Well put vitae-vixi and I think we all 100% agree with that statement.  With have a 25,000 post thread full of evidence to back up our claims too!  :D

Here is my list of Femsheps in ME2 playthrough order.

  • Jane Shepard.    Default model.

Image IPB

  • Laura Shepard #1. Saved before Citadel and saved council.

Image IPB

  • Laura Shepard #2. As above but sacrificed Council.  Alternate reality ending. She is my most Renegade and she still nicer then she is bad.

Image IPB

  • Amelia Kaylee Shepard. Spent hours with her in the CC and did a 38/40 hour perfectionist run through with her on ME getting everything perfect and done right. Now doing my ME2 playthrough, Just recruited Thane.

The amount of time I spent on her she quickly has become my new cannon Shepard and have become quite attached to her. All the kind words from this thread helped immensely too! I even wrote a Character Biography for her! Thats something I never thought I would do.

I have about 4 never made its from ME who will forever be chasing Saren around the Galaxy for all eternity.

Ok so this thread has really inspired me to do a femshep playthrough, I have gone back to me1 so I can import her into 2, my question is, is it possible to make a decent looking femshep in the me1 creator? I keep making them and as I build them they look great until I actually start playing and they look dreadful.

It's possible, but a bit tricky as the lighting in the ME1 creator really can play tricks on you. I'd recommend designing your femShep in ME2 and then use the facecode and a slider-converter to set the same values in ME1. There will still be slight differences, but it's just easier to get a look right in the ME2 CC.

Use: http://www.masseffec...s.com/index.php  (or just make your own in ME2. Make sure you have the facecode!)
Then enter the facecode here:  kenerd.com/serbientest/me2tome1/me2tome1.php

Can that be done on an xbox? or is it a pc only thing.

You can do it on the XBOX, but it's tricky. The number values don't really line up with the ME1 CC slider values. I had to recreate Avery that way. Got her pretty close, but it was still a pain.

So, in the interests of research and just messing about,  I recreated Katie.  Here's a couple of shots of Version 1:

Man, I LOVE that EVE online character creator, it's so versatile. :3 Wish you could actually SEE your character in the game though. :P

EDIT: A Shep of mine recreated in the EVE character creator, can't make her look anything like this is ME/ME2. :/

Actually they do. Only make up and eye colors are little different. Other than that the sliders match. if you know the face code, this makes life easy: http://kenerd.com/se...e1/me2tome1.php

Yeah, I think the confusion comes from some characters not transferring perfectly appearance wise b/c of the subtle changes they made and the new lighting.  Some features/combinations of features don't transfer as well as others.
